Frogs in Love
Don't let the koi get you!
At first look I thought well I'll give this game a shot and just see what I think. The trial hour went by so fast. It is a lot of fun! I plan on adding it to my purchased game list! I thought the visuals of the game were great! I felt like I was right there in the pond with the froggy! I think the story line could have been worked on more.

Very cute kids game!
This game is very cute for kids! My daughter loves toads and frogs so this game is perfect for her! Even though she really struggles with using a mouse due to directionality issues and a Reading Disorder, she can play this game! Cute story, great graphics, great music! All winners in my book!

Fun variety of minigames
This game is a pleasant break from the hidden object games that are all over BFG right now. There are a variety of different minigames, which leads to your frog winning over the princess Jasmine. The game's graphics are a bid dated (it was released in 2009 I think) but the overall fun factor is still there.

Easy game of mini-games, more designed for children.
The general premise of the game is to become a great frog to win the "dream frog" girl and fall in love. Cute concept. The game is essentially a number of mini-games with which you earn coins in order to pay for and play higher level versions of the mini-games you've played in order to develop your frog skills.
The mini-games are somewhat simplistic in my opinion, and includes a race of jumping on lily pads, matching butterflies, memorizing numerical sequences and collecting food orders in a marble blaster type format more, which I think are suited more for children and somewhat too easy for my challenge level. The graphics and music were ok, but nothing to write home or BFG fans about.
Will I buy this game as this review is based on just playing the trial version? Probably not as it isn't challenging enough for me, but I would consider it for my son if he shows interest in playing the game, as I would recommend this game for older children, since the concept is a bit young adult in nature.

Eat the Bugs, Eat the Bugs, Eat Only the Pretty Bugs!
Yep, that's about it - all you do. Is there some kind of progression to the game? Levels? Other areas in the Pond? Not that I could tell and none that I could tell was indicated. No tutorial to help out. No help page. Just nothing. Worse game ever.
Boy frog (you - so give your BOY frog an appropriate boyish name) sees girl frog across the room and asks her out. Girl frog is a rather snobbish Princess who looks down her froggy nose at the boy frog (you) and says only the frog who brings the most coins to the Flower Festival deserves her little snobby froggy hand. So, off you go to collect coins.
Okay. Nothing to write home about (so to speak). Colors appropriate to the bugs. It took me a while to differentiate the yellow flying bugs from the bees (don't eat the bees or your tongue will swell) until some bees actually showed up. Now that I knew those little yellow buggys were good to eat, I was good to go.
Background music ok. Had to keep it turned down because new baby puppy I rescued was laying on my arm sleeping. But, it sounded good. Sound effects for bugs getting eaten was like a "plop" noise.
Now, herein lies MY confusion. Perhaps, and I hope, you will gain more information on how to proceed throughout the course of the game. Because I can't believe this is it. There is an older frog in the pond who challenges you 3x to a bug eating contest. Every time you win, you accept the next challenge, etc. etc. BUT, what happens when the yellow bugs and the red butterflies are all gone and the 3x challenge is over? No direction. Nothing. Just click on start and keep eating the bugs and butterflies? Huh? Gotta be more to the game than that. But where? How do I find it? I got so frustrated I just quit playing because I already knew this game was not for me.
Just because this Glam-ma didn't like the game doesn't mean you won't. I would say go ahead and play the demo. It's free and you can quit whenever you want to and say - nope, not for me, or Hurray! I figured it out! You only have an hour to lose. Go ahead.. Glam-ma says play.
The review of this game is based on this Glam-ma's unbiased opinion - and only mine. Therefore, if you found this review to be helpful, please click on the "yes" button below. There is also a "no" button. Seriously? You'd give your Glam-ma a "no"? Kidding.
