My go-to game! I absolutely love this game because it's puzzles are done randomly so you never really play the same game twice and if you do - how on earth would you remember - it's that overwhelming! I have to say that if you go through this in the easy modes then there is no real challenge but once put into the hardest modes then it's really, really impossible sometimes, especially when you must play against the clock. This keeps me amused for hours and it is definitely one of my go-to games when I'm bored! (There is another game exactly like this named Inspector Parker if you like this type of game!!!) Always a favorite Love this game and it never gets old. I always fall back on this game when I have a few loose moments. Happy every time the Count says, "Drat it!" lol February 16, 2012
bigfishtodd says very entertaining like most gamers i dive right in so as usual it was a bit confusing but it took no time at all and it was entertaining enough 3 hours was gone a a flash November 15, 2011

Amazing Game! ^^ I play this game all the time. It's challenging and engaging, while not being too overwhelming. If the icons were a little bigger I'd like it more, but as it is, I adore this game. Since the levels are randomly generated, even playing journey mode twice in a row, there is no way it would be exactly the same, thus no memorizing the icons and where they should go. If all the deduction is making you hesitant there is an easier mode where you just swap pieces, and also you can play the main game on easy. I believe anyone who like brain teasers should look into this gem of a game. Hope I helped. :) July 21, 2013
Awesome I love this game! It is a game I can sit down and play all night. January 29, 2012
Best Game Ever!!! Though I bought this game in 2011, I have not reviewed it. I love this game. I can play it if I am tired or wide awake and It is always fun and challenging. Sometimes I play just to hear the sounds for each person, item or action. And I absolutely love hearing the Count say, "Drat it!" I've read the first book in the series and seen the movie. When I play the game, it just puts another level of enjoyment to Unforturnate Events! August 17, 2013
My favorite game ever! i remember playing this game about 4 years ago on my pc and loved it so much. each levels are so challenging and engaging, and the sound effects and visuals are sufficient enough to enhance the gaming experience. the only con, the only con, is that the only version available is for pc. and since i've changed to mac ive been unable to play this game. pleaseeeeee have a mac version. my favorite game ever for a laidback day. or lol, i'll even take a break from school work just to play this game again. DID YOU READ THE BOOKS? I did, and it made this game so much more enjoyable. This is a deductive reasoning game where there are from a few to many rooms, each containing a selection of items such as villains, victims, motives, weapons, escapes and punishments. Using clues, you must eliminate items from each room until you have narrowed each room down to one item, which will then show who did what to whom, why, etc. There are 2 ways to play and 3 levels of difficulty for each way, so you have plenty of options. And because the board of rooms is randomly generated, this game can be played over and over again. It is not as easy as it sounds, as you are allowed only one wrong click for each board. When there are 36 rooms to a board, with 10 or more items to a room, this can be hard, When you get to that many rooms, the items in the rooms are extremely tiny and I found that I had to be particularly careful with my pointer, as several times it would move just a bit and I would click on the wrong thing. Also, sometimes, if I left it stationary for too long, it would automatically click on whatever it was resting on. If you make more than one mistake, you have to start over again, but the board and the clues will be different each time. The game contains a lot of hints as you are playing it to help you use the clues in the proper order to get the quickest solution. Although there is not a time limit to the boards, there is a target time for the board. I was never able to meet that target because the targets seemed unattainably low. I did finish one small board in 45 seconds, but the target time was 30 seconds. Sometimes I barely had time to review the clues before the target time was over. Not meeting the target time did reduce your score, though. A very enjoyable game that I will play again and again. August 16, 2014
