Good game, needs some language work and a patch
I absolutely love this game! Then again, I live in Europe and deal with non-Native speakers everyday. The descriptions of some items are problematic, but if you watch, the words will light red when you hover your mouse over a passing object.
You can buy shops and antiquities to sell from those shops. You purchase upgrades, such as decoration, economic classes for yourself, helpers, coffee makers, and so forth. You make money and eventually save money. Then, you buy supplies you need by answering riddles. After that, you go on your expeditions. They are sometimes really hard. You need to find coins to buy hints. It is a very doable game.
You have different items offered for you to buy and resell each time you play and in each shop.

Open For Business
This game took me several minutes of playing to appreciate it, but once I did it was actually quite fun/frustrating. The goal of this game is to earn money by opening up antique shops, one at a time starting in New York and expanding as you progress. You start out with a basic shop, one employee and a handful of items to sell. When a customer walks into the shop you click on the counter and then click again on the customer to find out what item they want. An icon of the item or items show up and you click on those exact items so your employee retrieves them, click again on the customer to deliver the items, and again to collect the money. As you progress, the customers arrive 2-3 at a time and order multiple items. As you make money you can use that money to buy bonuses that allow your employee to carry more than one item, or upgrades to the shop which keeps the customers happier for longer. Nice TM game, not sure why it's listed under the HO category, enjoy!

An antique shop with very few items
This is a decent enough game if you like time management (not one of my favorites), but I found it extremely repetitious and boring. The shop owner only walks back and forth between customers. The assistants go into the storeroom to get some really strange items, and you only start out with a handful. And it's the same items requested over and over.
I got to day 16, and felt like I had been playing forever. Try this before you buy it so you're not disappointed.

It could have been..
It could have been a nice game as I think the storyline is quite fine. But I didn't even finished the trial version.... After almost one hour I was still doing the same things....
The Visual quality is quite poor too :-S

What am I doing?
I didn't make it through more than 30 minutes of this game. It is repetitive, and I couldn't really understand what I was working for. Each level you can purchase new objects for the customers to buy, but other than making more money off them, I'm not sure what the advantage was. It just made finding things more cluttered and confusing, and I'm not actually sure what my monetary goals were. There wasn't a clear way to see your advancement. I also couldn't tell if it was possible to fail a level, because it kept advancing me even if I lost a ton of angry people in line.
Graphics are crummy, and layout of the game play screen is awkward and overcrowded. Sound effects were not particularly informative or interesting.
The concept could work, it just needs a LOT of polishing...

If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. Tried the demo, could not even play the first level as the mouse cursor is made invisible and it's impossible to click on anything. The artwork was not well done. As for fun factor, level of challenge and storyline, I have no choice but to rate them 0, since I couldn't really play the game. I cannot believe Big Fish even offers this game on their site!

Antique Shop is a game where you give customers what they want. They will ask for different sorts of antiques that you supply, every level, you can buy a new antique or job qualifications, etc; to make your shop better and give it that five star rating. However, this game is very repetitive because all you do is copy each level with a bit of a change. The game is quite old fashioned and each level lasts for one minute, therefore the game could be finished in 30 minutes! The graphics are old fashioned as the colour are like they have been washed out and the decor in the shop is quite antique as well but this is probably because this game is antique! I can't imagine many people liking this game accept, people who are easy to please, quite old fashioned and like repetitive games!
