Difficult, like I like them What other people hate, I loved. Yes, the hidden object are very difficult, and so are many of the puzzles. I've played this game 2 times and still cannot find all the keys. But that's how I like my games! If you like a greater challenge than the usual easy HOG, try this one and get ready to spend lots of hours on it. Oh, and the storyline is not bad either :-) April 10, 2012
the game i hate to love the game looked interesting so i tested for an hour and when the time ran out i still wanted to play it. then i found out there was a first game, so i tested that as well....same result. so i bought both of them. i had to start playing right away! the story is fantasy based, like harry potter which i liked. then suddenly i got into trouble...i couldn't figure out what i was supposed to do. off to i went to find the walkthrough...there is not walkthrough! nothing else to do but use one of my hint to see what the creators might want me to do. even the mini games were hidden object based which i enjoyed. the music was not irritating. now we have to talk about the visuals. the art work is good but some of the objects are really REALLY little so i would have to walk away from it for a while to give my eyes a rest. there were a couple of object that were reused and were unfindable that i just had to use a hint on. they were tone on tone but the object could not be found because the tones were the same rather than being a 2 tone variance. UNFAIR! but i like their hints. there is a sparkle area that you have to look within maybe 2in x 1 one inch. and it stays up long enough so you really know the area of interest. that i liked as opposed to created that throw the hint up and take it down within the blink of an eye. so now you know why i love this game but sometimes it frustrates me....but i know i will replay it at another time. Witchy Game Not As Easy As It Seems Just played this very witchy game a 2nd time. At first glance, the graphics make it appear to be relatively easy and aimed at kids, but it is actually quite difficult. If you like to be challenged, give it a try. Game Play: 11 Chapters, each self-contained with a map and are graded. You choose the order to visit the scenes, as well as viewing the short or complete story. Difficulty is casual or timed. Completing the game with an A average for the chapters adds ?magician? to the difficulty levels. Because of the HOS containing a few small items, the puzzles and releasing the fairies, I can?t imagine playing the timed mode because of the difficulty in finding everything. Sound and Visual Effects: Very good. Really add to that witchy atmosphere. The croaking, fluttering books flying through the air, ghosts, and snapping flowers were bothersome at first, but then I started looking forward to provoking the flowers and flicking the books. But you will likely need to become used to them and I'd suggest giving it time (took me about 5-6 chapters to look forward to them). Music is rather jaunty and whether you like it is personal to you. HOS: Items aren?t hidden behind other objects and are fully visible, but are well blended into the scene. Some are very small. 10 items per scene. Puzzles and Releasing Fairies: Most are very difficult. The fairies are hidden in various HOS. Can use Hints here. Keys: Used to open chests containing parts of various wands. About half are easily visible; the other half not so easy. Map shows how many keys are in each scene. Don?t worry if you don?t find them all ? you don?t really need all the wands to average an A for the entire game. Ending: As expected, but sequels are promised to address new questions. June 21, 2012
Rather Frustrating Game Although playing this game has not been quite as frustrating as the first one, many of the hidden objets are impossible to find without using Hints. I only played for the one hour trial, but there was only one main mini game for the spells in that time period Finding Keys to unlock magic chests with powers raises the game from 2 Stars to 3. Technical issue On a Windows 7 box w/ wide screen monitor this will only play in a window, not full or wide screen. Not willing to even try and play a HOG when the screen is so small. March 9, 2012
HATED Back to back, straight-forward HO's with below average graphics. April 13, 2013
