Good story, impossible hidden object scenes
I enjoyed the story of this game, which was to collect magical evil objects in different parts of the United States so they could be contained. There are nine objects, so there are nine locations (chapters).
The problem I had with this game was the hidden object scenes. In each scene, there were multiple objects that were so small or so dark that I couldn't find them. The hint button recharged very slowly, so these HOs took a lot of time and quickly became frustrating for me. Because of this issue, I cannot recommend the game.

TOUGH! And interesting.
Based on the completed game.
This one is tough to review. I have to agree with many others about the difficulty factor.
NEGATIVES: The game is clunky and old and moves slowly. There are two different hints: one for the HOS and one for the rest of the game. Each take about 2 minutes to recharge and only starts timing when you are in their particular arena. That can be supremely frustrating in the HOS.
HOS are meticulously drawn with tiny detail and are devilishly difficult. You will hate this game if you have poor eyesight. You must also click meticulously on the proper area of a selected object. Many HOS contain more than one of a listed object or have one searching for something like a "bow" which could have several appearances. Very difficult. And HOs can be found in any area of the scene, even to the very edges. There are no "dead" or irrelevant areas. On the plus side, these scenes are very interesting to look at. IF you want to spend the time. As I said, there is a great deal of irrelevant meticulous detail.
POSITIVES: The game seems to have been very well researched for the sections of the various arcane practices and studies. So the mysteries make sense (at least to me) who has studied some of these things. Beautiful drawing and a believable mythic story. There are 9 distinct chapters, each of which stands on its own, so like reading a book, you can complete a chapter, walk away and come back later without having to figure out where you were. No necessity to complete the game in one sitting, a big plus for me. I wish more games had this chapter structure so I could take care of necessities rather than finishing a game. LOL.
All the puzzles and most of the HOS are available to replay from the main menu, if you want to, although the puzzles I couldn't solve are of the type I can never solve, so I don't think it matters how many times I have to repeat my attempts. Most of the puzzles are very easy, although sometimes the instructions are a little bit obscure.
In spite of the very slow going, I was eager to move from one chapter to the next and see what the developers had in store. If only the HOS were a little easier - but then I might not have enjoyed the game as much. It would have been very short if the HOS were easy. So I recommend the game with the qualifications I described at the beginning.

The graphics look ok but finding some objects is rather frustrating. You have to click exactly right on the object else it doesn't find it- with larger objects this is ok but with smaller and thin ones, it just gets annoying.
Storyline is a bit weak in my opinion and instructions are ambiguous on occasion.
All in all, it could have been much better so I cannot recommend this game.

Very clunky game
The visuals and sound are fine but the user interface for this game is so awful it's a waste of time to bother mentioning anything else about it.
The game comes with a very laggy custom cursor that you can't switch for the system cursor. Dragging this thing around the screen feels like trying to walk through quicksand and it's difficult to get it to point at what you want it to point at.
The hidden object scenes have a very precise point that needs to be clicked with this clumsy cursor in order to select something. These two factors alone are enough to destroy any fun factor this game might have. This is true especially because it's almost entirely made up of hidden object scenes.
A game needs to, at the very least, function correctly to be enjoyable. This one does not. Perhaps the age of the game is the problem but it isn't worth wasting your time on even for a free demo. It isn't playable.

This is based on the demo and wasn't impressed.
The hidden object scenes were so blurry and the objects themselves were so hard to find because they were tiny.
I won't be buying.

Not even worth 2.99
This was a very slow game,and HO were very small and blended into the background too much. Even when I clicked on a HO,it had to be clicked on a certain spot to get it. The hint meter took FOREVER to load. The graphics are not the best. When you compare this to Black Isle, Ravenheart series,you would see the quality of the graphics and hidden object scenes. I should have played the trial version before buying it.

HO are way too hidden, Although you would click on the discovered hidden object, nothing would happen unless clicked on a very specific spot on object. Clicked on hint button a few times when this occurred only to have the hint button take forever to reset. Similar items noted in HOS. Began to not be relaxing. Like a thinking challenge but not a challenge with clicking on objects.

Can't seem to figure this out
This game came up as a bonus buy for $3.99, so you don't have enough time to play first before choosing to buy, and I should have passed on this one.
It's hard to find objects, but then some of the things to do, just don't work. I'm in the werewolf den and I can't go forward.
The help keeps telling me the same thing over and over.
Not worth it.
