One of my favorites!!
I don't know what it is about this game but its one of my all time favorites. I love finding the animals, trash, sharp metal objects, toys etc and I love the sound effects. I play this game to relax or when I need a challenge. It works both ways. Some things are extremely hard to find especially whenever you have to take pics because the screen is blurry except for where the lens of the camera is but the hints are plentiful. Finding stars in the scenes makes the hint button load faster. There is a test after each round. If you have enough stars you can skip it all together with but its really fun and really a no brainer in terms of what they ask you. IF you don't have enough stars to take the test at the end of the round, you can play mini games to get enough. I personally only find the puzzle and the matching enjoyable. I can never figure out what I am supposed to be doing on the two others but you get to choose which one to play or if you even want to play them at all. You'll know when you can take the test as it appears on the right hand side and the locations will turn red.
My only pet peeve with this game is that items once removed come back. If I am truly cleaning up the zoo, then why do I come back to all the clutter I just collected? Some areas of the zoo are hard to see what is what because of lighting or just outdated graphics but it doesn't seem to bother me. This is a pure hidden objects game but its very fun to find the animals, garbage and clean up your zoo plus learn about animals and find the stars. Some things blend in sooo well but when I spot a star and I think I have gotten them all then I get excited.
Give it a try, its a go to game and I've replayed it bunches of times and I still have a hard time finding some of the objects. I like a good challenge and this game will give you a relaxing feel if you don't like to be timed or a challenge if you like things that are hard to spot at times. I prefer both aspects and I love every bit of this game and yes I do recommend it!

Refreshingly fun HO Game
I enjoyed this game's storyline because it is bright, colorful and cheery. I do not enjoy the run of the mill games with ghosts, witches, curses, other worlds with weird looking beings, etc. These are boring and literally dark. It is fun to have a game in which you can actually see the items once found. However, Zulu's Zoo can be quite challenging in its searches because the animals are so well camouflaged in some areas. I bought this one thinking my grandchildren would enjoy it; but they will need some help. And I will give it a 5 because of its brightly colored scenes, the positive storyline and the educational aspect it offers. Have fun with it!

Lets all go to the Zoo!
Good game-but some of the objects are almost impossible to see, thank goodness for unlimited hints playing optional minigames. This game is challenging and education without making you feel like your in school.

hard to see ani,als in games
i didn't like this game and didn't finish it. you couldn't see the animals worth a dang and you weren't sure what was wanted. i seldom give a review but i had to come here and do it. try the demo first and then decide. i didn't do it or i wouldn't have bought it.

Very disappointing. Poor design.
This could have been a much better game. Many times it was not clear what was being asked for. eg. sugar cane rather than candy cane or straw bag rather than straw basket. Many other misleading terms. Many objects were the same color as background or so small they were almost lost in background details. Game play different on some levels without clear instruction. eg. sometimes order of pickup was necessary, but not other times. Sorry but you did ask for my honest opinion!

Feed, Find and Check on the Animals - if you can find them.
This game had soooooo much potential, it's a shame it fell flat on it's face.
You basically go to different areas of the zoo, indicated on a mp, and follow the instructions. For instance, in one area you have to find 12 monkeys - hiding behind other animals, behind or up trees and placed around a monochromatic area where finding them without hints is impossible. Another would be to take a picture of a list of animals. Again, the scene is very monochromatic in color and the animals impossible to find.
This is definitely NOT a child's game. I wouldn't even recommend it for adults. It's just impossible to find anything. And, you have to play, a ridiculous amount of times, the same matching game to get enough stars to take the zoo test to upgrade so you can go into other areas that are now locked. You get "cheat sheets" which give you information about certain animals but that's NOT what's on the test.
This game had so many flaws in it that it is definitely not a buy for me. I also cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone who values their time.

tedious and inaccurate
i hoped it would be educational, but some of the so-called facts included in the game are not accurate. for example, according to the game, white ibis are supposed to eat fish but in fact, white ibis primarily eat insects, worms and grubs. this is a great educational idea but it seriously needs a fact-checker before allowing it to cram incorrect information about the various animals in your head, or into your children's heads. why waste your time on something like this if it isn't providing correct information?
i also found the game to be tedious to play.

Based on the other reviews I expected this game to be pretty good. However, I didn't like it at all. The objective, in some levels, is too vague and the graphic quality overall is poor. I was very disappointed by it. I am glad I did the trial and didn't purchase it outright.
