Good game but has glitches check out game forum for tips in setting it up
This game does have a couple of glitches. But nothing I couldn't play past. I saved it often and in different places. I also took tips in the game forum before I played it which helped it out. I played in windows 7 with nvidia card.
Overall I really enjoyed it, it had a lot of different areas/scenery to explore. I did find the first hour, in the palace the slowest and the most boring. But a lot of that was figuring out the game. It does pick up the pace when you get into it. When it went into the jungle and at the end was the best.
In the sense of an adventure game, this is the definition of it. Your character is on a true adventure traveling to different places trying to uncover her past.
I enjoyed it more than Syberia, this had less talking, more action and things to do. The bugs do let it down, but it's not unplayable and I only had 2 glitches in my game which required 10 mins of backtracking (because I save my game often).

A fascinating and not such an easy game.
Hi, I have just completed the game. I think it a very hard game and I had to save and close the game lots of times in order to consult the walktrough. Without a walktrough and with the help of forums it is almost impossible to complete it. I think it a minus sign the game has not autosave so you have to save it yourself lots of times and every time you need about 5 clicks to enter into the game again. Yet it is a good game which is more suitable for experienced players. For those people I would like to recommend this game.

Paradise
The great Benoit Sokal outdid himself with this masterpiece of a game. It was dazzling and very challenging from beginning to end.
I have very high praise for Mr. Sokal and Big Fish Games. They have made such a brilliant piece of work available to the gaming public. Kudos to both once again.
I rank this game up with Syberia and Syberia II and with the best of the Nancy Drew set.

Good, challenging game
I enjoyed the game. It was challenging for me. As the other reviewer noted, there are glitches, if you have the patience to work through them its a great game. Some easy parts and some difficult parts. All in all except for the glitches I would of given it a 5 star. Good Luck!!

Paradise: A real treasure!
I fell in love with the Syberia games and had to try another created by Benoit Sokal. He's a master! Paradise is every bit as amazing as Syberia I & II and equally as long and challenging to play. In fact, i consider myself an above average player and still needed a walkthrough at times d/t some difficult scenes. Putting that aside, this game is hands down one of the best available today. The graphics are absolutely amazing. And wow!, the most amazing and authentic voice-overs and sound effects. It's a brilliantly immersive and beautiful journey! Worth every penny and then some! If you love LONG adventure games, then this is definitely for you! ps- don't forget to keep saving your progress as you go along! (now off my next adventure--Sinking Island)

EXCEPTIONAL!
From the same creator as the Syberia series and the Amerzone game series, this game is exceptional! Attention to detail at it's best!! Super graphics, engaging characters, suspense, mystery, this game has it all. A must for adventure lovers.

Good Adventure Game
It took me a long time to get through this game. It was a difficult game to play, but I finally got through it with the help of a walkthrough. It requires a lot of concentration and memory. This is an older game, which I have had for quite some time and finally decided to work with it. There are some challenges that are difficult. The most important thing to do throughout game play is to "hit the Escape key and click on save" then hit "Back" . This puts you back where you were. You need to save your progress frequently so that if you make a mistake, you can "hit the Escape key and hit reload and double click the scene you want. If you do this you won't be upset if you mess up and you won't have to start the game anew. If you need to do an action such as walking up steps and the game won't let you, right click for the inventory, then right click to get out of inventory. You will then be able to walk up the steps. Otherwise, this is a great adventure game with good music and wonderful scenery. Lots to do and the storyline is very interesting.

Let's hear it for Benoit Sokal!
Yes, yes, yes, I like the artwork of Benoit Sokal, and I like his stories, such as the Inspector Canardo series. Together with Enki Bilal, he is one of my most favourite graphic artists. I am simply wild about Syberia and I love Amerzone - albeit a bit too short to my liking - and Paradise follows suit.
I played and replayed the game a number of times, and I can't get enough of it.
So, instead of getting ecstatic about the graphics, the storyline, the challenges - which I could easily do - I advise you to get into the skin of Ann Smith and start to explore Paradise, a most gratifying experience.

one of the best.
I wish I could find other games as hard as this one, but so far I have been unable to do so .I do love a challenge. If you like to play games without help, this game is for you. If you get flustered and upset becauce you have no idea where to go, or what to do, it's not for you. The graghics are fantanstic. It is not a HO game by no means. So far the best game I ever played, it's a long game, very long. Also other reviewers stated the had some problems, I had none what so ever.

3.5 Game
Older game... Older graphics.. but still impressive. This is a huge game - took me days. I consider myself a pretty good player, but this game confused me at times on where to go.
1. There are killing and an apparent suicide (But, no blood and guts)
2. There are Glitches sometimes I would have to go back some to be able to go forward.. But, it is workable and I don't have the best computer.
3. If i reduce the game to consult a walk-through which I had to do a few times (which is irritating). When I would go back to the game My character would be solid gray until I went to a new screen. Than she would be back to normal.
4. Harem at the palace with virtually naked women.. very insulted by that. I dropped a star for that. Apparently Sokal's target market was not me!
5. For people who get sea sick with 3d worlds where you can pan around. This game is not like that you can't pan around you only go in one direction. There are some mini games involving your character and the leopard that puts you into a 3D world with panning around some.. but it is limited and kind of choppy.
6. There are some interesting creatures.. that are cute in this game, And the black leopard is beautiful.
7. A lot of dialog in places. Could of been reduced down quite a bit. Also, had a difficult time understanding what some people would say and there were no closed caption. There may have been an option for this - I don't know.
I can't recommend or not recommend this game. There are better games. If I had a trial, I wouldn't of bought it. But, since I did buy it, I played it already through. I much prefer the game "Return to Mysterious Island"..
