Drawn: The Painted Tower
slow boring game
It was one of the slowest boring games I have ever played.

Not Executed Well
Drawn is a game I really wanted to like. Unfortunately, the story isn't half of what I thought it would be, and the game play is horrible.
Every scene not only has a loading screen of up to 30 seconds, (which adds up when you constantly need to go back and forth), but when the image does load, it still lags.
Most of the objects you need to find are petty; they're hidden in places no one would think to look, and they blend in to a point that it seems unfair. The hint system is just awful. You have to wait 60 seconds between clicks, and all you get are snippets of a hint; words that try to prompt you where to look, but that are riddles within themselves.
Why not just show me where to go, like the other games? If they're trying to get the player to 'think' then it's a bad way to do it. It becomes frustrating, and I gave up not even an hour in. Immersion should come naturally to a player, not be forced into their lap. Plus it's difficult to stay focused on the scene when the game keeps returning to the desktop.
The story is non-existent. Iris being trapped at the top of a tower has nothing at all to do with the assumed character. They are faceless, voiceless, and without personality. It's just 'you' in first person, trying to randomly help this girl. The characters are very drab and typical, and offer no enhancement of the world at all.
The artwork is stellar, and the music is fitting; but this alone is no reason to buy this product.
The raw execution of this game is what made me buy it; but I should have cooled my jets and tried it first. I'd have known within minutes not to waste my credit.

Too dark for me.
I found this too dark and didn't get very far. When I quit the game (2X) it plays a preview, like you would see at the movies. Did not want to finish the hour free, so I uninstalled it.

I have all the "Drawn" games. While beautifully done and very enjoyable I have numerous problems with all of them. "The Painted Tower" won't play on my new computer, "The Dark Flight" freezes up and won't play, "The Trail of Shadows" will often freeze up and never lets me "skip" a game. I get so frustrated, and get no help from Big Fish. FIX THIS!!

No thank you
This game was recommended to me. I played it through, eventually, but it crashed my system twice.
The game itself was confusing at times, requiring me to check the walkthrough, and it was a little too fairy-tale like for me.
I won't be playing the rest of these, and I may not be buying from Big Fish anymore. No seven dollar game is worth my computer. For the record, I've played 40-50 games from Big Fish, and this is the first time this has happened.

I don't get it?
All the good reviews for this game I just had to try it. I was totally confused from the beginning until I finally gave up on it. You would have to some how be in the mind of the game developer to try and figure out what was going on? Sure the kids colorful graphics were great and remind you of kindergarden....but I had to get hints constantly trying to figure out this game. To bad I bought the next in the series because this one was NO fun!

I'm VERY sorry I bought this game!!
I really HATED this game!!! HUH??? I had to come to the "walkthrough" to even do anything in this game and it got VERY boring VERY fast. How in the world would you know where to place these items if you don't read the walkthrough? It has high ratings, but I had NO fun playing this game. Doing an "Alt + Tab" all the time to see what to do next is not my idea of a fun game. I just didn't get it!!! The graphics are excellent, but for me....the fun factor was a big zero!!

This is the worst game of all that I have played on BIgfish. The graffics are boring and so is the music and the game play. I will never try another Drawn game. Sorry
