Amazing Graphics!
This game was just so beautiful! The graphics reminded me of a Dr. Suess book. It was SO unique! That being said, I found this game to be very difficult and had to use the hint button quite a bit. My husband really liked this game, as he likes challenging puzzles. I had to skip through most of the puzzles myself, as they were just way too difficult. The game will really get you thinking! I recommend it if you want to play something different and challenging!

Another good addition to the series
Once again Big Fish has put out a quality adventure game that is NOT a hidden object game. Please bring more games like this.

A Rare Treasure!
I just finished the game, and my only regret is not doing it sooner!
The game is filled with magnificent artwork and music (I want the soundtrack!!), an intriguiging and fulfilling storyline, exceptional editing... even the font choices are beautiful! The small amount of voice acting is well done as well.
But the biggest pleasure and surprise of this game is its unique and brilliant idea, which was executed perfectly! Using art as a window to another land is a very old concept, but in Drawn, it's put to very literal use. We go into multiple paintings, find and place drawings that come to life, and help to complete a few pieces of art to further the story. All along the way are interesting puzzles to solve with just the right balance of difficulty and fun.
In many games, the answer to "what to do next" can be questionable and far from intuitive. But every step of Drawn felt like it made sense. The Strategy Guide is unnecessary, as the game offers multiple hints for each objective. These hints are presented in non-spoiler form, and there is no penalty to using them except for the time spent waiting to recharge.
Even after the game is done, the credits roll like a movie, with images of Iris and her pictures scrolling alongside the credits. The ending itself was fulfilling (more so now that followup games are available) and there's a post-credit scene that offers a clue as to where you'll be headed next to explore further.
Drawn is EXTREMELY well done on all counts. I highly recommend it to everyone of all ages. This is a rare gift of a game, worth far more than its BFG price. Support this game developer/designer - you won't regret it!

Maybe it was just too sophisticated for me?
I purchased this game for me MAC and then shortly after starting it realized I'd played it to completion already on my iPad.
The story is beautiful. The graphics, are, at times, stunning. The VO was wonderful: it reminded of Edward Everett Horton who was the VO actor for several cartoons that had a "moral to the story." There's something very find about this game. Consequently, I'd recommend it, just not for someone seeking what I seek.
I really to like the darkness of the games I play and this is not that....it's almost a fight between good and evil and you believe that good will win the whole time. This is, in part, because of the calming tones of the narrator. It's a wonderful story but it's not a HOG/Puzzle/Adventure in the normal mode. It's what makes it special, but just not for me.
Ironically, I will recommend it highly for other who are, perhaps, just more open to change/different ways of doing things than I am. Please don't let this review hinder you from getting it. IT IS GREAT....It's just not my cup of tea. I liked Cinderstone Orphanage and Nick Chase: Detective and Infected: The Twin Vaccine. This is very different and still very good.

Could have been so much better
I am at the end of a long line of reviewers for this game, so am in no doubt that this review will go unseen. No matter, I'll still put it out there. First tried this game a long time ago - couldn't get out of the main room. At that time I was a match-3 player and just could not get my head around what the game was about.
Things have changed a bit since then, guess you'd say I've graduated. Moved from match-3 to HO but after a while that just gets so TEDIOUS! Constantly looking for badly drawn junk in junk piles. Then moved to straight adventure and that was why Drawn - Painted Tower was so appealing. No HOs!
Drawn is indeed well drawn - pun intended, but it could have been so much better. The fact that you have to wait for each and every scene to "load", even though you have been there before, gives a clunky quality to the game which surely could have been avoided. Have never experienced that before. The mini games are good, but again, fall just short of the mark. For goodness sake, is it so hard to give us directions about the puzzle?? That is so annoying! You look at it and have no clue about how to approach solving it.
Franklin is not really helpful either. He has "set" responses when you hit the Hint button, it's like he is not really "looking" at your game play so see where you really are. Grr. For saying all that bad stuff though, I did enjoy the game - it's just that it could have been so much better. Will probably use a game credit to get the next Drawn in the series, hope it's a little better than this one though.

Sorry, not good.
This game is one of the worst I've bought. It is so slow. Has to "load" for each room/scene. And you have to go back & forth so much that it wastes time. Did not hold my interest at all. Don't usually say anything bad, but, I thought others might want to know before purchasing.
