Ghost Town Mysteries: Bodie 2.1 5 16 16
Tedious and poorly done game - Slow game, - awful graphics, - annoying sound, - voice over incomprehensible. - mini games are repeated - HOS badly designed, objects really tiny and almost impossible to find. Could not stand playing for more than 15 minutes January 21, 2012
Original Storyline - Midwest Ghost Town This is a simple, straightforward Hidden Object Game investigating a haunting due to a young girl's death back in the 1800's. Very interesting concept. I enjoy basic HOG's, however, the hidden objects were too small and I did not purchase the game. December 27, 2011
Difficult Hidden Object Game This game was difficult to enjoy. The objects to find were very small and hard to see. Unfortunately, this made the game more frustrating and I ended up not finishing it. November 24, 2011
I Should Have Believed the Other Reviewers!! I'm one of those people who will play a 1-Star or 2-Star game just to disprove that the game can't be THAT bad. However, I think Brodie Town is the game that will stop me from ever doing that again. I actually played this one to the bitter end. It's not a long game (thank goodness# so I toughed it out in one sitting. The storyline is actually not bad, but it goes downhill from there. I had my monitor screen on the best resolution and still the entire game was dark, not only the HO scenes. Objects in the HO scenes were small, fuzzy and sometimes not recognizable. I had to gather flies #yuck) in order to get hints. Unfortunately, the flies blended right into the dark scenery which eventually made them impossible to find. Which means I never had an over abundance of hints. There was the same dark tombstone puzzle to complete throughout the entire game and you could not skip it; otherwise you would not progress to the next level. Very frustrating to say the least. This game had a lot of potential and I can think of several developers who would have done an awesome job with it. Unfortunately, Brodie Town developers totally missed the mark -- probably because it was so dark that they couldn't see it. October 2, 2012
Not the greatest I have visited the town of Bodie (It is in Northern California) and they have replicated it fairly well. The scenery is well done but the game is not that great. The hidden objects are hard to see and the minigames repeat. I didn't even complete the full hour-long trial. Great concept, not so great game. May 22, 2012
I really wanted to like this game I love good ghost stories, and I love a game with atmosphere. I also had the incentive of not only wanting to buy this game because of the sale price....but, because of the dollar that would have been donated to breast cancer research. I do not mind games that are "slow playing"....sometimes that adds to the atmosphere; but a game where they limit hints, make the objects small, blurred hard to find, in just about every case....the puzzles as well as the hidden objects, well I start to loose enthusiasm. They were even stingy in giving us the prized flies that would give extra hints! Then all of a sudden a timer clock appeared.....I do not do timed games, I game for liesure and pleasure, not to beat a clock....or, anyone else. The last straw? I read a review that said that many of the solutions in the walkthrough were different the same as in the game......that many solutions were random. Oh well.....not my day to buy a game, no matter how good a cause. Some folks will like this game, I might have, but the devs put in too many strikes for me to ignore. October 2, 2012
Not an enjoyable game at all To dark, to hard! Not relaxing September 24, 2012
ghost town this game is sooo Repetitious, dull, boring, very dark, October 2, 2012
If only it could be better... I played the demo of this game long time ago but decided to buy this with free game coupon. I know the reviews are not great with this game but I decided to buy it anyway because I like the story revolving around ghost towns. The graphic, as many have said, is very blurry and dark. The mini games are repetitive: spot differences in photos (which are so impossible to see and the answers sometimes random), making puzzle tombstones, which are getting more difficult each phase. The atmosphere is creepy and that's what is good about this game, that's why I give this game three stars. At the end of this game there's a hint on next adventure but there is no news whatsoever. I don't recommend this game esp. those who don't like dark scenes. Hope the next one will be much better than this one. October 30, 2012
A Good Challenge I know that there are a lot of bad reviews for this, but this game is great! The audio gives a spooky feel, the visuals are realistic, and the story is intriguing. You enter this ghost town to solve the mystery of the death of a girl, but unraveling the mystery just leads to more. You have the ability to gather hints, and you'll need them. This is a hard game. Most complain about the dark HO scenes--adjust your monitor's brightness, then there are no more dark corners. Try out this game! Don't ignore it because others scored it low. You may enjoy it as much as I did. October 5, 2012
