Fun, Fun Game! This was one of my early buys, and I loved the game. It has beautiful graphics, a fair storyline, circular HOs, and fairly easy puzzles. It is not a difficult game, but it is fun to play. Although I have moved on to other games, I still play it occasionally just for fun. For a beginner or even the intermediate player, this is a very good game and offers something a little different to the usual HOGs. January 15, 2012
fun game game has all the fun of a real hidden object game.. loved the storyline. October 30, 2013
Different...In a Good Way My first thought was this was going to be a silly game for people who want things as easy as possible. I soon realized I was wrong. The game seemed confusing and a bit difficult, but that quickly turned to challenging and interesting. This isn't your usual Hidden Object game. Not the greatest graphics, or story line (at least it was short and not a novel), but for the first time in a long time I played an entire game in one sitting. Another plus in my opinion was having mini-games that weren't above or below the level of the game. This was good because there were no "skips". The confusion at the beginning was because I wasn't sure exactly what I was supposed to do, but it was easy enough to figure out. Perhaps a future update could add a tutorial, or at least an example. I doubt that I'll play again, but for a night of interesting fun, I'd give this one an 8. November 19, 2011
This game is amazing fun! By clicking on everything in a scene what you are trying to find is gradually revealed. It's a refreshing change from the usual HOG lists. The graphics are beautiful. I appreciated the lack morbid themes/scenes, though it wasn't overly light or cute either. Too bad this game is a little on the short side. The ending left me hanging, but, then there is the second Crystal Portal game to look forward to. I liked how intelligent this game felt. It's well worth a try, since it is something different. A very different HOG! I picked this up for the Kindle Fire, and found it to be very engaging... I liked the fact that you had to find an object and then items to put INTO each object. Something definitely different from most HOG games. I've played this twice now, and the 2nd time, only took me a day. I'm not sure if that's good or bad... *laugh* It was a fun game, and I will be playing it again. July 2, 2012
ok game I enjoyed playing it. Not that difficult to play. Igor helps you out as you seek clues. Worth playing. More of a game for beginners. May 9, 2013
SOLID ENTERTAINING GAME Game length: about 4 hours on casual. Gameplay is straight forward: Fill in the circles of key objects and visit the next location. Visit Japan, the Alps, Guatemala, Africa and Russia in a quest for the parts of the crystal portal key. Appears to be no excessive clicking penalty. At least I encountered none, but then I would expect no penalty because you have to search a lot of objects to find the key objects before filling in the circles, and sometimes you have to click something away like a snowdrift or a box in order to expose an item needed to complete the circle. Some items are well defined; others well blended in. Expect to use hints for items in the latter category. Hint recharges in about 40 seconds. Artwork is beautiful for all 5 countries and dialogue is to the point. Somewhat challenging because the background is usually crowded with a lot of colorful items. A good entertaining game seeming to be aimed at novices and intermediates. October 22, 2012
TO BE CONTINUED Very good game that moved in a nice linear progression. The HOS were where you had to find items to release something. You have no inventory in this game, so when you find all the pieces to an item, it doesn't go into inventory, but it either lights up, or starts moving, or falls down to reveal other items. Some of the items are very hard to recognize; some I found by accident, others I had to use hints for. The game seemed a little short, but I loved the ending. August 20, 2013
Really interesting Hidden objects game. I thought the game was quite a challenge. It was fun, there were so many changes. July 20, 2012
Not exactly "brain-bending"! This game took a little while to work out what you were supposed to be doing - not because it was hard, but because there was no instructions. Then it was relatively easy to whiz through the rest of the game. I still don't know what the "Crystal Portal" was - won't bother playing again. February 28, 2012
