This one is good but... I don't know what it is about this game but it was hard to finish and it got boring toward the end. It started out good. It is a good game and one I would put at the top of the list but the missing students theme has been a little over used and for some reason I am not as big a fan of stories that take place in the snow! Too cold for me I guess. Definately worth a try. November 20, 2011
So difficult it was not always fun I loved the imagery and storyline in this game, however it became so hard at times I was just wandering around aimlessly in the game trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing next. The video portion of this game seemed unnecessary and tedious to watch. There only seemed to be one helpful clue that came from a video. The maneuverability of the town was confusing. I kept forgetting how to get from one place to another. Overall, I enjoyed playing this game, when I could figure out what to do. December 10, 2011
Don't make the mistake I did.... I started playing this game at 2am last night as I couldnt sleep and wanted to relax. I should have read more of the reviews....getting the first movie was creepy enough, the second even more so then a random moment in the game made me almost wet myself XD I'm going to finish this game whether it scares the heck out of me or not. It's wonderfully creepy with a few moments that make you jump (up to now for me at least) Reading the rest of the reviews I agree with them, it looks like a fab game graphics-wise and story-wise. Go buy it, but try it first If you're not sure about creepy horror games! make sure it's definately suitable for you before you buy ;) February 22, 2012
A Challenging Game This game was quite challenging. I didn'teally get in to the full swing of the game very much but I'll try. Good Parts: Crime computer Challenging Location of hidden objects Gripping storyline OK Parts: Had to find the places of hidden objects Bad Parts: Took a while to get in to No tutorial options Took ages to find hidden object locations I reccomend this game, but Huntsville is better May 6, 2012
Thrilling Adventure! Gorgeous graphics, video, and audio that seem to run smoothly, no glitches. Glad the scenes are bright, easy to see, no dark sequences. Interesting storyline and helpful guide for solving the puzzles. Kept me playing for several hours and wanting more when it ended. Enjoyed the challenge, even though I had to retry several times to finally solve them. Grateful for the relaxed mode for this reason. Thrilling ending! MCF didn't disappoint and I highly recommend this one. December 4, 2011
Creepy enough to send chills down your spine It is quite embarassing for me to say that this is the first MCF game that I ever played, I even didn;t know about MCF games and its Ravenhearst games before. I played this game because the demo creeped me out, but in a good way. It is set in winter, and throughout the game, and the snow looks so real for me to feel really cold. I like it that there are videos to be collected that shows what is really going on, the occassional specter showing in and outside the house gives more sense of creepiness. A good game overall, even after I played Ravenhearst, I still feel that this game is better. First impression always lasts, they say ^^ January 14, 2012
Don't Miss This One! Loved playing this game and hearing the sounds of the wind and the crunch of the snow! It makes you want to put on a coat. Lots of great scenes and activities to do in each of them. My favorite Mystery Case File Game. November 14, 2011
Fun and Creepy This is the first game I played on BigFish and it got me hooked on HOG. I didn't know games this graphically advanced existed. I was really impressed with the story, quality of live acting, and the challenge. I felt like I was actually in a horror movie. Figuring out what to do was challenging but I think it would have been easier and more enjoyable had this not been my first game. I don't think I could have figured out the final solution without the walkthrough; and its less satisfying to need to follow the instructions rather than figure out it yourself. I give the game 4 stars because I prefer whimsical games and because I find the flow of MCF games to be monotonous and not intutive. The HOGs could also be more original/creative. April 22, 2012
WHAT.....only hints in HO scenes?? I was wanting to like this game because of all the high reviews but I didn't. The main thing for me was the hint button ONLY works in HO scenes. It does not work in showing you where to go or giving ANY kind of hint as to what to do next, how to use an object you're stuck on or anything but the HOs. That did it for me.....bottom line. Nope....it's not for me. October 25, 2012
Awesome Game I've played this 6 times already, it's that much fun! I love the suspense and the puzzles are fantastic! I highly recommend this game. July 2, 2012
