Happily entranced
I have steered away from MCF games- prejudiced by the truncated versions available online- I am not a big HOG fan, more of an adventure gamer but I LOVED this game. The story was awesome, the mystery really drew you in and the game play interestingly difficult without being frustrating. HIGHLY recommend

Creepy fun.
I really enjoyed this game. It's a bit creepy, plenty of HOS, and challenging enough though beginners may want to make use of the skip and hint buttons.
On the downside, I play quite a lot of these type of games, but this one only took around 4 hours to complete. Also, the ending was kind of abrupt, there was no real explanation of what exactly happened which kind of ruined it for me, hence only four stars.
All in all though, I'd recommend this game.

My Favorite Game - Ever.
In the past, I hated Mystery Case Files Games. But, I tried this one, and it was amazing! The graphics were great, the fun factor was fabulous, and the story line was the best story line I have ever seen in a game! The videos that you collect during the game are chilling, but very entertaining. The difficulty was hard, without being frustrating. I recommend this game, and so does the rest of my family!

An Instant Favorite!
After all the rave reviews for the MCF games, I'd tried Madame Fate and was very disappointed. For me, straight HOS games get dull and repetitive real fast. What I didn't realize was that the later MCF games incorporate more puzzles and challenges than the early versions.
SO glad I tried this one out, because this shot to the top of my most favorite game list.
LOVE the story line, the videos are really well done. The challenges are good, not too easy, not too hard. I love when I have to think creatively about what to do with an item in my inventory. This is seriously the best game I've played so far in the dozen or so I've sampled. Can't wait to play the other later games in the series!

Sets The Standard
If you want a HOG to measure all the others by, get Dire Grove. The graphics, storyline, HOG games and challenge are all impeccable! This is the best game I've played online - hands down. Even better than 13th Skull and some of the other great MCF entries!

GOOD TASK AND PUZZLE GAME
I bought this game as had just finished Poirot Death on the Nile which was 95% hidden object. It got boring and was very short. When I realised Dire Grove had task also, I decided to purchase it after the trial period. I was impressed. It bought me back to the good old days of Resident Evil on Playstation. I just love trying to solve puzzles and finding items to use. The graphics and sound were very good and you had the option to control sound levels.
I thought the puzzles were very logical to work out. However, because I have completed all the Resident Evils I did find the game a bit short but very enjoyable and would recommend it as a start off to people not used to more than hidden object games but want something extra.
I am currently on the trial session of Ravenhearst 2 and considering buying it.

mystery case files: Dire Grove
This is one of my all time favorite games, I have played all the other ones that led up to this one, it's the best, it makes you feel you are there helping them! Can't wait for the next one to come out!

Great Game!
My 8 yr old son and I just finished this game and are in the #1 spot! He's pumped about that. Really great game. It had just the right amount of "creepiness" and good graphics.
