Great scenes; boring play The scenes are all crisp, clear, and photograph-quality, but the pace of the game is so slow....virtually all hidden objects and comments without the "thrill of the hunt". December 5, 2011
Best Game I've Ever Played This game is probably the best game in the MCF series and the best game that I have ever played. It's a spooky and very very good. The storyline kept me hooked. The HOS aren't too dark like some of the other games. It had a real horror film like feel to me. The puzzles were pretty good. My only complaint would be the music. The music was good, but in some situations was unfitting. For example, I was just wandering outside the hotel early in the game and the music was very intense. Other than that, top notch game. Excellent game! This is the best Hidden Object/Adventure game I've played so far, and I've played a lot of games on here! Graphics are much better than some games I've played and the puzzles are challanging and you actually have to think a bit more about how to use your inventory items, rather than knowing striaght away where to use them. Length was also good; hate spending money only to find I've completed the game in an hour or something, but this kept me occupied for several hours. Love the live actors too, that gave the game a more real spooky feel as they seemed genuinely terrified. I was pleased to see there are more Mystery Case Files games however was disappointed with the quite bad reviews. Looks like I picked the best of the bunch with this one. Highly recommended! Challenging but fun to play Challenging game. You need to keep up to figure out the next event. Fun game to play and takes time to play. The story line to good. Beginners may have a hard time but still a great game to play. August 5, 2012
Very good game My first MCF game was 13 Skulls, which is still the best to me. This is a good game. The pluses: Beautiful art and environment Nice music - never annoying or overly repetitive Puzzles weren't too hard, just enough to make you sit and think a bit. The story is interesting and more realistic than than most. You can choose your wrong-click comment 'attitude'. If you click on something erroneously, you can choose 'snarky', 'regular' or 'motivational'. I chose that and it made me smile. I'd try to use the wrong tool on something and get the comment, 'you're special'. Fun to see what'd pop up. Drawbacks: No map Hint button is only for the puzzles, not for traveling through the different rooms. I had to use the online walkthrough because some areas were really vague or didn't make much sense. While the videos you pick up are well-acted, they are a little repetitive and don't offer any real clues to help you get through the game. They're really just to explain why everything is how you see it. I would recommend this game as long as you know these things going in. May 9, 2012
One of the best in my favorite series of HO games so far! Even though this game is already flooded with amazing reviews, it deserves another good one. Mystery Case Files is my favorite HO game series on BFG so far, and this game was my first and favorite of the series. If you can play the MCF games with a friend, it really helps because one of you will usually figure out what to do in each sticky spot. This game was challenging enough to be very engaging, but every puzzle had a logical solution. We had to use a strategy guide once to find out we had been clicking the wrong spot on the item we knew we needed, but the rest of the game really made up for the moment of frustration! (The videos you find throughout the game also do a wonderful job of building suspense without crossing the line into "Escape from Ravenhearst" territory.) April 22, 2012

Dire Grove This game is GREAT! Mystery Case Files never disappoints and this game is their best! It has everything! There were even a few moments in the game that made you jump! Hours of fun gameplay and enough of a challenge to make you want to play it again and again and again and isn't that what makes a great game? Love it, love it, love it! November 24, 2011
A chilling and exciting game! You will love this game. The music, the graphics and the background sounds compliments the storyline and will have you fixed to the computerscreen for hours. May 14, 2012
