Beautiful, Interesting Eye Strain
I bought this because I was a big fan of "The Tudors" TV show and wanted to visit that world again. Sadly, it is set after the death of Anne Bolelyn (when the show started getting overtly political and dull) - and the game reflects the kind of complicated plot (england/france/spain/catholics/protestants) that the show engaged in during the 3rd season.
However, once I settled into the story I was very interested to see how it would end. Story was great.
Other Greats: The mini-puzzles are challenging but not too hard. They seem to fit the story. The "cutouts" from the actual actors from the show are fun and make the story easier to get into. Scenes have variety (gardens, churches, ships, palace).
Not so great:
1. The scenes are beautiful - set in the render/3D type art - but they are so lush, that you can't see any other the stuff. Half the time I ended up using hints or just clicking around the scene to find the objects because I couldn't see them or make them out.
** good news: hints are generous, and there is no click penalty.
2. Scenes are repetitive. All HOG's have you going back to the same room or scene. But this has you looking for the same thing (I swear - you look for "a letter" like 10 times).
3. This game missed several good chances to end. After the final mystery is revealed and I was ready to call it done - there are 4 more HOG (3 of the looking for beads (the same object) and more dialogue. The prolonged ending made it much less enjoyable.
4. It is possible to get stuck. In one scene of "find the differences" - There was a difference on backdrop that was so dim and indistinct I couldn't tell what it is. I kept hitting hint and it kept circling the same area. So I would just click around. Because it was a scene and not a puzzle, there was no skip. So I just had to click and click -- after about 5 hint cycles, when I was ready to delete the game, I happened to click the right thing. (Still don't know what it was).

OKay But
Played the free trial, I love the series. The game had the people who played certain characters in the series, everything was real life scenery. It was a good concept for a storyline but the HO scenes were hard, you had to almost squint just to see certain items, after awhile I did get bored with it. would not recommend using money or credits for this.

Never say the show
I never saw the show. This game is very hard. You don't know what to do next. I had to use the hint button. To find the hidden objects was hard. Then when I got the to place where I had to put the pieces from the left into the picture I had to use the hint button alot. I do not recommend this game.

Worth a look, wish it were longer
Pretty simple HOG game, not as challenging as some of the more complicated games. A good one to cut some teeth on before you jump into the big load games with tons of moving around.
Characters were decent, especially the ones from the series itself. The add on characters were so- so. Loved the scenes from the series, some objects were harder to find than others as mentioned in other reviews.
A good game to pick up when on sale or if you are just starting to learn HOGs.

Enjoyable
Love the tudors and enjoyed the game. However the scenes were too blurred to accurately pick out the smaller differences. Also made it difficult to find items that were completely in dark spaces. Funnel game made no sense what so ever...... There should be more clues as to how they work. Lock puzzles too... should have have some way to find the code rather than randomly hitting buttons.......

Well, I don't think so..
Just didn't like it. Older style. Mostly dialogue to read and hard-to-find hidden objects. I got bored early on. I decided not to buy it.

Dreadful
This is the first time I have reviewed a game so please forgive me if I say something I shouldn't but it was dreadful. I was drawn to it because I loved the series but played only about 30 minutes of the trial and only lasted that long because I thought it might get better.
Fun Factor: Nil
Visual/Sound Quality: The visuals of Johnathan Rhys Meyers and James Frain were brilliant, it's made me want to watch the series all over again. I can't comment on the sound as I rarely have it on as I find it a distraction.
Level of Challenge: Quite high for the hidden object scenes, I knew where the skull was but it took 27 clicks before I managed to get the exact tiny spot to retrieve it!! I don't think I got to a mini-game but if I did, it wasn't memorable.
Storyline: I don't think I played it for long enough to comment but for the first half hour that I played the game for it was more of a nuisance - way too much dialogue and far too many clicks required to get through it so you can get on with the game.
Overall: Very disappointed.

The Boring Tudors
I should of listen to the first victim who played this game. Its extremely boring, the lighting is awful. You have to squint to see every object. Please do not buy this game. I bought it for 2.99 and its not even worth that amount.

Tough
Loved the show and the game as well. However, your screen freezes sometimes and you can't go anywhere with it, except to quit the game. I have tried to uninistall and reinstall and it is hungup on one area where you find the differences with the rooms. I'm on the last item and the instructions at the bottom came up and will not move.

Pretty Bad
This was exceptionally boring. I don't enjoy having to click through pages and pages of "conversation" between cartoon characters to get to the next scene. The HO scenes were meh...just not a very good game.
