Worst. Ending. Ever.
This game did indeed have the worst ending I have ever seen or heard of.
It often took me much too long to figure out what to use things for. I thought it could of have just been me, but reading the other reviews, it obviously was not. Good for my self confidence in the fact that I am indeed an intelligent being, ba-a-d for this game.
I felt alot like it tried to be darker than it actually was. I know of no better way to make a game, or actually, I know of no better way to make ANYTHING pathetic faster than trying to portray it as devastatingly dark when it is just a bunch of confused gore.
I am going to put a bit of a spoiler in, although this game is much too rotten for most anyone to care for spoilers. A character jumps off a cliff in plain sight of your character, then comes back at the end alive as if nothing happened.
Well, the music is kind of nice if you like highly edited opera.

Great HOG, Tons of Fun
This is one of my favorite games on this site. The mystery of who is killing off the characters one by one is great and lots of fun. The characters are well drawn and the voice-overs even sound good. Some of the puzzles are a bit difficult and a few of the items you have to find are...well, miniscule to say the least but it isn't impossible to find them. It kind of reminds me MCF: Madame Fate if it had a more adventure/point-and-click style to it rather than just strictly HOG and puzzle. It takes a while to play this, I've played it 3 times already since I bought it a year ago and it still takes me over 5 hours. Definitely a must have!

Could have been so much better
Excellent storyline that draws a player in.
Many of the puzzles are virtually impossible to complete. Using the walk-through in this respect could be helpful to avoid frustration that comes with not knowing what to do. The game does offer a skip option for the more difficult parts.
The ending was very disappointing, in my opinion. The mystery is not solved and the player is just notified that they are a good detective.

Too many hidden object games
There was no adventure finding and using tools, it was one hidden object game after another, no puzzles or anything else, boring!

I don't like it.
Locating the hidden objects in this one is a great sore instead of fun. Sometimes, when you use the hint button to locate one you might feel that the designer didn't have the least intention for you to find it at all. And there are so much of them, interrupting the flow or rythm of the game in a most frustrating way. The story is good, but the play experience is bad. I didn't enjoy it. And the ending is poor.

Not as good as the one before it.
Nightfall Mysteries: Asylum Conspiracy was much much better than this one. Where that one was a dark, somewhat suspenseful thriller, this game is rather silly with annoying comically exaggerated characters.
Like the other game, the backgrounds and search scenes are drawn much better than the characters.
At least I think I remember there is a decent amount of game time if nothing else. Others may enjoy this game, but it will help your opinion of the game to know that it's not very similar to the first one.

Simply outdated
I've played this game I couple of years ago and haven't finished it then (maybe it was just a demo, can't recall). I remember liking it, so I've bought it to finish it. I couldn't. I loved the story and the atmosphere and wanted to find out who the killer was, but the horrible HOGs prevented me from doing it. The game is simply too old, not at all like the games they make nowadays. It's based on HOGs that destroy your eyes completely. And you have penalties for clicking. Some of the puzzles are very complicated, not at all intuitive, some of them are OK. So, I still don't know who the killer was!

Extremely Difficult
I downloaded this game and Nightfall Mysteries: Asylum Conspiracy. Both were too difficult to keep me interested. I spent 35 minutes and could only find the prop door and a gas can. I couldn't find the things it said to look for in the notebook. I also couldn't find a 'Hint' button to show me if I was getting close to anything I needed. The graphics weren't bad. I wouldn't recommend this game to people who are new to HOG's. I'm usually an expert on HOG's but this one made me feel like a beginner.

Boring, tedious, unexciting
If you enjoy games with little to no action, and going back and forth from one static screen to another, endlessly clicking on the HOGs, then this game is for you. Not for me. I found it very tedious and boring. I bought it for only $2.99, and sadly, it is not worth the price.
