Lovely and Relaxing
I love all three games in this series. Dreamless Castle is the first, but I played it last. Just like the rest, the visuals are lovely. You play a princess, who just woke from a deep sleep and discovered that the castle it almost empty. A few fairies and goblins left, but no humans. You need to work your way through the castle, finding items and solving mini-games to free yourself.
There is some walking back and forth and most of the mini-games are fairly easy to solve. There are some Hidden Object Scenes that I thought were well done. Some of the mini-games are variations on the same theme (matching items, remembering sequences, picture puzzles).
Having said all that, I still loved the game. It is relaxing and beautifully drawn. No, it isn't a challenge to play, but it is wonderfully enjoyable and took me quite a while to finish.

Lovely and charming
I loved the series Awakening. All are graceful, entertaining, and worth to be purchased

Another game has surprised me
I rarely go for this kind of game--from the outside it looks very childish, and the first few puzzles and tasks are very easy. But there is a nice undertone to this game. No one is helping you, even the goblins who are supposedly there to serve you in your long dreamless sleep.
Eventually you will realize this is not a game for little girls. Yes, there are fairies and unicorns, but there is also drinking, gambling and other unpleasantness among the goblin ranks. And in spite of the bright and gorgeous palace in which you find yourself, you can't help but feel more and more surely that something is wrong here, something you should remember. You are filled with a sense of loneliness.
The story isn't dark, and the graphics are incredible. None of the search or puzzle games are very challenging. But the game is longer than it seems it will be and there is plenty to do as you look for the final escape from your beautiful prison. This was definitely a perfect Sunday afternoon game--didn't require me to think as hard as the games I normally buy, but still gave me a great sense of value at the end.

Not a Whole Lot Going On
I much prefer the Goblin Kingdom to the Dreamless Castle. I think it was a longer game with more challenging puzzles. Nevertheless, this would be a great game for someone younger or if you don't want much of a challenge.
Graphics: Nice and "fairytale" like. :o) Whispy and dreamy are good descriptions of it.
Music: Worked with the story and wasn't annoying at all.
Length: This game is SHORT! It took me less than 2 hours to complete and I didn't use any skips or hints.
Challenge: Not at all. There are only a few HO scenes, this game is mostly puzzles and task solving. Fortunately, there isn't a whole lot of back and forth between scenes. Once you complete an area, you're pretty much done with it. Perhaps this is part of the reason the game is so short.
Overall: C Recommended for a younger player or if you want something mindless to pass the time.

Light & cheerful to play
This is the first in a trilogy of ?Awakening? games from my favourite developer Boomzap; it has the usual beautiful fairy-tale artwork & bright cheerful clear graphics that I associate with them. Unusually there is a choice of 4 languages & although the few cut scenes still retain spoken English the clues & other writing through the game are in the chosen language.
There is no choice of gameplay mode so expect sparkles to abound anywhere of interest, the hint recharges in 60 seconds. This is useful in the hidden object scenes but of limited value in the main scenes; if you clear all the open tasks in a scene & then select the hint it will still point at the one task that you cannot complete until you have found a specific object. This can be a little frustrating as it is not always obvious what your next move is so you might end up wandering through scenes trying to recall what needs to be done.
The cursor does tend to be obstinate on some items & it can take several clicks to pick things up, this occurred to me quite a lot; be warned some of the items to collect are very small.
There are not many H0 scenes; this game is about solving puzzles for which you usually have to gather a number of items or mini games most of which are easy; they tend to be of the Simon Says; match items; move tiles to create picture; mah-jong type.
The game took me around two hours to finish so isn?t very long but it is worth playing & once you finish you can play unlimited Goblinjong which is a mah-jong matching game. As you play the levels of this extra you learn more about the world of Awakening.
Too easy for experienced gamers & rather too feminine for the male population but a lovely game to play.

relaxing game, especially after a stressful day slaying dragons at the office
in this puzzle-filled hidden object adventure story (the first in the "awakening" series), you are a princess who has awakened in a mysterious abandoned castle. you don?t know who you are nor what you are doing in that place. thus, your goals are (1) to find out your identity and of course (2) to escape. to accomplish those tasks, you must solve puzzles and brain-teasers and locate a variety of hidden objects. you are helped along the way by a few friendly goblins and you have a companion fairy, mira, who accompanies you (as your hint button).
graphics: simply gorgeous and beautifully rendered! really fun to look at and to interact with. the hidden objects aren't very difficult to find (note that there are few actual hidden object scenes). i appreciated that the hidden objects scenes were not the typical junk piles (always annoying to look through). in this game, there are a lot of puzzles and brain-teasers that are imaginative and varied -- for example, some arithmetic puzzles, simple logic brain teasers, and a goblin version of mahjong -- but all are fairly straightforward to solve.
music: kinda nice: not too distracting or annoying.
storyline: well-designed and carefully developed. there are no evil wizards or ghosts here, but still i got the feeling that there was something mysteriously wrong, perhaps forgotten or lost, as i played this game. certainly this beautiful castle is the princess's prison, and as such, it almost seems a metaphor for life: do you remain imprisoned in a beautiful cage or strive to escape so you can explore and experience the (possibly dangerous) larger world?
weather forecast: unlike so many games i play and own that take place in the middle of a dark and stormy night, the weather in this game is bright and sunny (at least in the demo).
my interaction: one hour demo. i'd guess this game was designed for beginning gamers and children (especially girl children), however, even though i am neither a beginning gamer nor a ten-year-old girl, i plan to purchase this game anyway.
summary: the artwork is beautiful and the story is engaging. designed for beginners and girls, this game is great for everyone (even adults!) if you want something relaxing and cheerful to do in the evening or whilst traveling.

Best ever
I have a couple years of constant game play with HO and puzzle games. This series is by far the best I have ever played. It was so nice to have something that was not dark. Had beautiful music that changed constantly and I loved the vast number of puzzles there were and minimal HO scenes. Scenery was gorgeous, graphics great. Very pleasant surprise. I bought all three in the series and was sad to be through them in less than a week.

A good relaxer.
I usually go for the darker creepier games. But I found a free game code, so why not? Turns out it was a fun game. The artwork was pretty and the games were fun, not too challenging. It was nice to play this on a gloomy day when I didn't want to get out of bed. Nice to just play and relax without getting worked up or frustrated. The hidden object scenes were clear and bright so I didn't have to crouch over the screen and squint, so no headache. The hint system is the kind I'm not fond of, it doesn't show you where to go, just says there's nothing to do in the current room. I didn't need it more than once, but that one time I had to go from room to room hitting hint to find out what I had missed. Doesn't ruin the game though. :) Overall I do recommend this game for an easy day in bed. Not so much if your looking for a challenge. But It's a good break from the darkness.

Still One Of My Favorite Games
I have played this game three times the whole way through and I am sure I will play it again in the future. I own all of the games in the Awakening collection, but this one is my favorite and worth every penny.

Must Have Game!
So i played the 1st one and with the way it ended I just had to buy this one. Great art very detailed as well. Some of the games are a bit hard and I did seem to get stuck a lot. I ended up having to look up what to do a couple of times. Over all though the game is really fun and the story line is just wonderful.
