The Celtic legend of Dire Grove has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. Considered a fairytale, its telling was meant to frighten small children into staying in their beds through the night. A recently unearthed artifact in the United Kingdom, however, proves the dark legend to be true! Use your wits and Hidden Object talents to follow the trail of a group of missing graduate students in Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove!

Challenging but fun to play Challenging game. You need to keep up to figure out the next event. Fun game to play and takes time to play. The story line to good. Beginners may have a hard time but still a great game to play. August 5, 2012
Don't make the mistake I did.... I started playing this game at 2am last night as I couldnt sleep and wanted to relax. I should have read more of the reviews....getting the first movie was creepy enough, the second even more so then a random moment in the game made me almost wet myself XD I'm going to finish this game whether it scares the heck out of me or not. It's wonderfully creepy with a few moments that make you jump (up to now for me at least) Reading the rest of the reviews I agree with them, it looks like a fab game graphics-wise and story-wise. Go buy it, but try it first If you're not sure about creepy horror games! make sure it's definately suitable for you before you buy ;) February 22, 2012
You have to play this one! If you love mystery and adventure, you will find the best of both worlds in this game! The creators of Dire Grove went beyond the normal game concept and added some real unique elements, like real people over animated ones. It is no wonder this game is always on the most popular game list. It's awesome. November 18, 2011
Member since 2006 - played lots of games - THIS IS THE BEST! Seriously, best game ever. The atmosphere of the game is eerie and cold. The season is winter and you can almost feel the crispness of the air; due to the excellent graphics. But the best part is that it has real people integrated into the game. I can't say enough about this game. November 24, 2011
Great Challenge This is another huge game in my opinion, a long one anyhow but, fun. Great graphics again, pieces to put together, lot of searching to do, puzzling and hard at times. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you Big Fish, Perry :) November 14, 2011
One of a Handful of Ultimate Online Games This is what all game design companies should aspire to. Challenging puzzles, excellent graphics with a creepy setting and soundtrack, a storyline that makes sense and is not beyond the realms of believability and more importantly hooks you in until the end, and no over-reliance on hidden object screens. One of my favorite games in the MCF series Plus = I enjoyed this game so much I have replayed it several times, and I usually do not replay games. I liked it so much I have recently upgraded to the CE. Minus = When I bought this game, I did not realize that the morphing objects were only in the CE version. The morphing objects and additional game play really make the CE better than the Standard edition game (in my opinion). This is one of the few games that I would recommend purchasing the CE version instead of the SE because of the additional content and activities. November 27, 2011
Totally Fan-tas-tic!!! Everything about this game is Fantastic. From the first step you take to the very "creepy" ending, this game will keep you entertained for hours. I'm not sure this is the right game for the faint of heart, as there is a few scary moments, but if you make it to the end, you will be rewarded with a true sense of accomplishment. Another game that I love to play again and again, and I'm sure you will too. November 18, 2011
MCF - THE VERY BEST IN PC GAMING! Pure genius! Story line drew my interest and I entered the awesome world of Mystery Case Files again. Creative, challenging and fun mixture of hidden objects and puzzles. This game is definitely a must-have. Looking forward to the newest sequel. BFG, I know you can do it, please! Highest recommendation! November 21, 2011
Detective girl power at its best! My most favourite games to play are the MCF. They are high quality on a number of points. They use pictures of real people in the games so you work frantically through the game to solve the mystery to help save the uni students. You have to really think about what you need to do as time is of the essence to save the kids, and you really want to get the baddies! For lovers of detective thrillers where the woman is the hero, the Mystery Case File games are not to be missed. Very empowering for us girls!!! November 14, 2011
