The Celtic legend of Dire Grove has been passed down from generation to generation for centuries. Considered a fairytale, its telling was meant to frighten small children into staying in their beds through the night. A recently unearthed artifact in the United Kingdom, however, proves the dark legend to be true! Dissapointed I played this game based on the slew of excellent reviews and the fact that I really enjoyed the Ravenhurst series (with the exception of the last installment.) This game had a decent storyline, but overall I found it quite boring. The puzzles were far and few in between, and the HO's were way too many and very monotonous. I quite expected this to have more puzzles, and ones that were a bit more engaging. Sorry guys, but for me, this game is barely worth the two stars I gave it. But, to each his own! February 15, 2014
I don't know how this soared... The story and the graphics are very good and hidden object scenes as well. But when you get stuck, its over. No way what so ever to get help. As much as like a challenge, this makes you get bored ultimately. August 28, 2013
I absolutely hated this game. This game is just one HOS after another. Each time I would be stuck and wondering what to do next, I would wander around and find another HOS, that being the ONLY thing you can do next. Back and forth, back and forth just looking for a HOS to move forward. The SAME HOS scenes, the same items to find more than once. I bought the game after only playing about a half hour, that being the best part of the game. After that, I regretted buying it. I thought, well, I'll play it out since I bought it, but after yet another treck from one end of the game to the far side of the other just to look for another HOS to go way back to use a key, then another search for a HOS...etc etc...Also, I got stuck using an item I KNEW belonged there, checked the walkthrough, and yes, it's supposed to work there...back to the game..try again...yadda yadda yadda...I had absolutely no fun...HATED IT. hidden object games hidden object games use to be that and where so enjoyable now they are spoilt by spending time trying to find out what to do me they should be strategy games.Bring back the old games. February 28, 2014
Yuck Another dark hidden object game. I play to be entertained, not scared. February 27, 2013
Not recommended The live acting is terrible and there was hardly any HO just task hunting. Played it just get through it. September 28, 2012
