Love the Bride series by Nora Roberts PLUS SIDE = I have been a long time fan of Nora Roberts and have all the books in the Bride series. This game is based on the first book. I really enjoyed seeing the four lead characters (those girls are all great) and the lovely house (what a beautiful place to have a wedding), the visuals brought to life the descriptions in her book. I have replayed this game at least half a dozen times, the graphics are so pretty (particularly the outdoors scenes) that it makes me happy inside. You can also try to collect letters (VOWS) in each Hidden Object scene. MINUS SIDE = Some items are small and so hard to find, and finding white items against the white snow is very difficult November 28, 2011
Pretty, Serene, Romantic! This game, by a romance novelist, supposedly follows 1 of her novels in a series about brides. Having never read her novels nor being a fan of romance fiction, I was skeptical about this game--but shouldn't have worried. It was BEAUTIFUL, with lovely artwork and graphics--even winter scenes were beautiful & made you want to walk into them! There were plenty of HO scenes, with objects easy to moderate to find. The story line revolved around 3 women who banded together to make a wedding business--everything from planning to photos to catering and the place. The mini games were clever: match the cake (icing colors and decorations) to what the client ordered to cropping photos from the wedding. Easy on the eye, nice story, sweet ending, well thought out and done. Nice HO scenes, plenty of play time. Well spent time and money for some gentle, romantic time for YOU! Good for Beginners & Intermediates; not much of a challenge but mostly pure HO game with several mini games. No adventure or strategy involved, no frustration or figuring out where to go or what to do next. January 21, 2012
The book is better than the game This game is based on the first book of Nora Roberts' The Bride Quartet series. All good books. And the game does a surprisingly good job of picking out major parts of the storyline, since I recognized it. Graphics are good, as are the voiceovers, and there is an extensive selection of hidden object scenes. But the hidden objects can be really tiny, really hard to find or identify, and can be tone-on-tone colors like white objects on snow. My other problem is that you only get 5 hints per chapter, and there are several HO scenes in each chapter. So once you use up your hints you are stuck...unless you happen to find the letters V-O-W-S in each scene, for which you will earn 1 hint. But trying to find all four letters can also be difficult. I'm a fan of Nora Roberts, and of the book this game is based upon, but the game just had more frustrations than satisfactions in playing. In this instance, a book in the hand is far better than the mouse. February 8, 2012
Good game for romantics This game was a typical wedding / romance type of game and although it really wasn't my cup of tea, it was enjoyable. The graphics were excellent, clear and defined and the hidden objects were fair to some quite challenging. The puzzles were reasonable except for cake decorating and flower arranging. The dialogue, although not long and drawn out tended to be a bit on the mushy side. The game itself is a good game for girls who like weddings and romantic stuff. Even though I liked it, it didn't really suit me. December 21, 2011
2.5 - Straight HOG with a couple of puzzles - pros and cons list As I am such a fan of dream day series I decided to buy this game as I love weddings and am a romantic. It has voiceovers and a story, the length of the game was OK (standard SE) but it fell so short of the dream day series for me. Pros ? -Romantic plot -Choice of playing game timed or untimed. You have a set amount of time for the whole chapter. -Mostly non junk piles/very cluttered scenes -Finding letters ? v.o.w.s in each scene which earns you a hint Cons ? -Most items to find were tiny, I didn?t mind a couple in each scene but there were loads. -Also items were really well blended, a lot of white on white -Repeating of HO scenes -Puzzles weren?t good and they kept repeating the few they had (take photo, make cake and flower arrangements and avoid people to get to an exit) -limited amount of hints if you run out, you are stuck! If you are an avid HO fan, and romantic with good eyesight then I recommend it to you. But no walkthrough if you are stuck with finding items and no way to get more hints is annoying. July 25, 2012
this is a nice game I just finished this game. I wish they would make games for each of her other three books in this series. Very pretty hidden object scenes, also the snow scenes were nice. I will be playing this game again. It followed the book. I like this sort of game because it is relaxing. August 9, 2012
Love this game I have the entire bride quartet series and love it. I was excited to see Macs story in game form and was thrilled with the result. Saddened that they decided not to make the rest of them into games, but this one is one of my favorites and has been replayed several times. It also gives you a visual as to what the girls might look like from Nora's eye. Great fun even though it's not a very difficult game. Completely enjoyable and gorgeous graphics. May 12, 2012
Nora Roberts Vision in White Review I absolutely loved this game, so much in fact that I bought the book and have been hooked on Nora Roberts novels ever since. Compared to some hidden object games it is an easy one but still enjoyable. Hoping that they will change their minds and bring out the next game in the series. January 31, 2012
Love, Love Love this game!!! This game has great graphics, challenging hidden object scenes and puzzles and follows the storyline of the book very well. I find myself coming back to it every few months and playing it again. Very enjoyable, although admittedly more of a "girls" game because of the storyline and content. I only wish they would make games out of the other three books in this series. April 8, 2012
Beatiful Graphics The scenery in this game is stunning - beautiful graphics, however, very hard to see the hidden objects - I rarely use hints and I found myself having to use at least one hint each scene. The music was very nice. I didn't care for the mini games of decorating the cake, arranging flowers - that was pretty lame. I didn't buy the game because I don't think I would play it more than the one time but it was a nice game. February 14, 2012
