Too short In this game you get to make potions and do spells (voodoo magic). The graphics are awsome, very colourful and original, but I did not care much for the music. What I did like a lot were the voiceovers, they made the story more real to me. If you choose to purchase this game, be aware that it is VERY short. I feel that the story could have been at least twice as long and a bit more detailed towards the end. There were several characters that I would have liked to get to know better (for example the apothecary, or the people in the swamp). I would also have loved to see some more creepy locations. It seems to me as though the developers had some excellent ideas, but unfortunately they didn't take enough time to elaborate on them and/or lost their inspiration half way through. I think this could have become an excellent game, if the story were longer and if the storyline concentrated on more of the characters. October 31, 2012
Fun Times Loved the artwork and the story line (based on a real historical character) was engrossing. November 28, 2011
A Fun Game Georgeous graphics and unobtrusive music/sound effects. Interesting storyline (voodoo, spells etc) -an intriguing mystery to solve Excellent VO......clear and crisp. Clever puzzles (mixing of spells etc). Involves you in the world of voodoo......you get to find spell ingredients, cast spells and dispell spirits using potions. A good selection of Interesting characters. The title is a bit misleading - only the one story. Quite a short game, can be finished in a couple of hours. Great game for beginners, but not very challenging for experienced gamers. Needed more puzzles, things to do bonuses, or some mini games. HOG scenes were very easy. Its a good game, albeit short - buy if reduced or redeem as a freebie. February 23, 2012
The Old Wife Beautiful artwork. Fun game. Interesting story line based on a historical character of New Orleans. So far, this has been my favorite game of over hundreds I've bought through Big Fish. Would love to see a sequel. January 27, 2012
Loved It! Totally loved the game. Interesting story line with good games and hidden objects. Was totally disappointed when I finished because there is not another to buy. Will definitely buy the next one! March 14, 2013
NOT YOUR TYPICAL HOG This game is different in the fact that there are several stories and plots you try and master before the whole story comes together. you travel on a horse driven coach to the new destinations and conjure spirits and potions with objects you gather. I really enjoyed the refreshing aspect of this game! the story line and graphics are very colorful and intriguing! i woulf recommend this game for sure April 2, 2012
One of the Best HOG The graphics in this game are literally outstanding. There is a good storyline and although it is not too brain challenging, the game is really enjoyable. The HO screens deserve your concentration as items are well placed and sometimes hard to find. I loved this game and it is one of the best I have played so far. March 11, 2012
Fun Hidden Object Game Took me to another world, Loved it. November 15, 2011
fab great game, kept the mind thinking,it wasnt your basic click & find boring game...........keep em coming March 12, 2012
Why only one game? This game is visually appealing, fun to play and tells a pretty good story even though you know what happens to the character in the end. My question is why there isn't a sequel because this would be great as a game series. I would suggest making the cemetaries inhabitants from everywhere so we can get stories from more places but for the sake of storytelling, look around at the supernatural games on the site to get an idea for what's been done to death (no pun intended) and what demises could use revamping.
