Strange Cases - The Lighthouse Mystery
DETECTIVE, YOUR NEXT MISSION ...
Not a bad game. I played this a few years ago and pulled it out again today to give it another whirl.
There are no modes of play.
There are sparkles to indicate places of interest.
There are voiceovers and you also get to read as well.
You have to find:
Blue Cards: These list items to find in that area;
Green Cards: These list silhouettes to find in that area; and
Red Cards: There are several objects in parts to find.
Finding these will give you clues and items to carry on.
You do get the use the items you find fairly fast.
The graphics are very good. Its easy to see everything - no blurry bits or small items which are hard to see.
There is only one piece of music which is played quietly in the background.
There were a few challenges in the game, but mostly it flowed well and I wasn't long in one particular area at all.
It wasn't a particularly long game - about 4 hours I think.
This game is definitely recommend for all players - beginners to experts. I personally quite liked the game and it had just enough challenge to keep me interested.

Was ok. Great for beginners. Music was OK
I like more of a challenge. Grafs were OK
Had shadow HOG which were a bit cute.
Sorry to say it was a little bit to short of a game for me.
But like i said, great for beginners.

Strange Cases: The Lighthouse Mystery
I believe this is not the only Strange Cases game out there, I only bought this one and I am not familiar with the whole concept of the game, collecting cards and fixing clues. Your HOG scenes are basically the card collecting game. Not my favorite kind of game. It's just OK, not awesome. Try the demo first before buying.

Not Very Engaging
Maybe I've become spoiled from some of the other really great HOGs, but this just seemed tedious and not very well executed. That's all I can report.

Try the demo first!
Absolutely hated this game, the HOG scenes were tedious, and not intuitive, the changing scale of pieces of objects made them impossible to find, other items were so light they were transparent or too dark to discern so that they totally blended into other objects or the scene, also extremely tedious to find. If all you want to do is search tirelessly per scene for non related items and junk with tiny snippits of the story in between, then this might be for you. Shame, it sounded like a good story line, but not worth the aggravation to play it.
