Bite me! Oh boy! Who came up with this concept for a game? First the object are strewn all over, some hidden behind two objects and no indication that something might be hiding behind the otherwise intact wall paper. Some objects are so hidden even with the hint it is hard to figure out where it is. Some non HOs interact for no good reason at all. Confusing the average citizen at no end, expecting that might be important. No diary (or map if I remember correctly), only a line of the current task. Like, "Find Rover's tin dish". But the dish is like I said before twice hidden. First you need to collect 3 mice. On and on like that. Staff of the castle dysfunctional beyond words. Maid with nose stud big as a ring stone, butler who could care less what you need, ground keeper who wants to whoop you for no good reason. Only redeeming quality of the story is the main guy who kinda looks like Keanu Reeves and the house ghost. Voice overs are mediocre, teenage looking girl with Jessica Fletcher voice for one. Animation is nothing to rave about either. I can not write much about the game quality because there is not much of it in the game. One advice. Hint button is your friend. February 19, 2013
Hmmm From the advertising it looked to meet my spooky quotient, but I was disappointed by the random characters (including the ghost of a St Bernard) and the uncomfortable attempt to combine the classic (candelabras and such) with the modern (ruff - wearing cockney goth girl never without her ipad and Lurch - like butler who is never off the net). Maybe I didn't get the joke with this one. September 7, 2013
Worst HOG game I have ever played! This game was so boring! it was all I could do to finish it! Just not my cup of tea at all. The characters were annoying, the pace was slow and repetitive. April 9, 2012
Deleted before finishing the game This was the first game in a LONG time I deleted before I finished. Too much dialog, no tutorial and no sign in. The only good thing I can say about this game is the hint button recharged quickly. March 18, 2012
Deserves Less Than One Star I don't download game trials because of the high quality games I have come to expect from Big Fish. This is only the second game I've gotten that's been a BIG disappointment. Horrible graphics, weak story line, insipid dialogue and a pathetic cast of characters - everything about this game sucked. The hero has gone to the castle to assess the property his boss is considering buying. The previous agent sent to accomplish the assessment returned totally insane. There is a very brief video cut of someone - possibly a developer- screaming like a mad man (I know how he felt - I played the whole game). The vampire butler is such a horrible character, he's laughable. Other residents include the ghosts of the vampire Count & Countess denied final peace until they locate an heir and a talking ghost guard dog. I played the entire game in hopes of discovering some redeeming feature - I was utterly disappointed. I don't know why anyone would rate this game at more than one star. January 27, 2014
