Cute and pleasant faery-tale mahjong This was a very nice, relaxing game that combines mahjong tile-matching gameplay and occasional puzzles and hidden-object scenes with a pleasant faery-tale theme. The hand-drawn graphics were all very pretty and nicely done. Many of the background scenes were beautiful and created a very nice atmosphere. The plot follows an elf on a quest to rescue her fianc as she travels through a fantasy realm based on the four seasons, encountering a variety of interesting characters. I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game all the way through to the happy ending. This is one of my favorites when I want to play a relaxing and re-playable game to help wind down after a long day. (By the way: This game ran perfectly on Windows 7 with DirectX up-to-date, and I never experienced any bugs or technical issues.) March 25, 2014
Mahjong tiles can be blurry I played this game several times trying to figure out what was a little off for me. The graphics are nice, and the mahjong play has a little bit of variation for interest. The graphics on the mahjong tiles are fun (but limited), and that is where I discovered the problem. As the tile graphics for the blackberries and strawberries got smaller, they also got blurrier, which is why I could literally feel my eyes straining playing this game. As you can see in the preview shots, the berries make up a significant portion of the tiles, and if they're blurry, well, it just didn't make for a great playing experience for me. And where did the ugly blue and red fairy mahjong tiles come from? They just don't fit in with the overall feel of the game. So, it's an okay game. There are a few other mahjong games that I've found more exciting. February 14, 2012
Just another boring game. Sigh. Okay, let's go over the good points of this game. 1. The story, though weak, is cute. Elves fall in love, getting married under a canopy of trees in the forest. Well, then the evil wizard steals him to get back his youth and good looks. Women of the world - ARIEL to the rescue. 2. The tiles are pretty - all flowers and birds and faeries, etc. 3. The games are sometimes unique. Rather than simply playing straight mahjong, you play swap, match, etc. OH, and let's not forget that in the 4th level or so you FINALLY find out what the "secret item" is. Cons: 1. The story is stilted and never seems to go anywhere. 2. The language is atrocious - although it could be elven to English translation issue. Still. 3. It was boring. Nothing changed. Not the background, not the tile backs, only the layout. Boring. For the above reasons, this will not be a buy for me. However, please do try it before you buy it. Happy Gaming! July 22, 2014
