Good as a coffee break game. This game is like the Mystery P.I. games. You play a number of hidden object locations before having a puzzle to solve. The hidden object scenes seemed a little too dark /grayed for me, making it difficult to see some of the objects. The puzzles are easy to solve- a mixture of jigsaw puzzles, match three, word search. As you move through the 25 levels, you gain a piece of a photo which is used to bring the game to a conclusion. I don't think there really is a story to this game. However, it was an enjoyable game to play when I only had short periods of time to devote to game play... didn't have to worry about keeping track of things. One different aspect of this game is that you are not always told exactly what to look for, but are given a hint, e.g. you find this on an envelope, or used to measure length. Makes you do a bit more thinking before searching. April 2, 2012
Basic HO This was one of the first games I bought in the HO genre and found it a very good introduction. The scenarios are of a straightforward "find something on the list" type and the in between puzzles are of the jigsaw or match three type. Each section played gives you part of a clue to the final solution. I did find some parts difficult at the stage I played it first but for those of you who are newcomers remember to check and see if Bigfish has a blog walkthrough - they really are vey useful! Wonderful game I love games with stunning visuals and this one has it! HO scenes are sometimes challenging, puzzles too. I dont care for the fragment hunts but I can live with this as this game was just too exciting to pass up! Well worth the money and time to get caught up in the story and game! December 11, 2011
Stupid game This is one of the all time most boring games. A cut and dried HO game. No plot, really, just scene after scene of HO. Gets boring really fast. Save your money on this one! January 19, 2012
too much searching I was prepared to like this game - I really do enjoy the HOG for the most part. I simply want an interesting storyline, believable characters who keep showing up, a map is a great bonus and some extra puzzles to exercise my brain. When a game gives me 3-5 HOG before a truly simple puzzle then back to the same then I lose interest. Deleted this one before the hour was up. Not even worth it at a reduced price. August 2, 2012
love the HO game.... It has everything I look for in a game, fun, interesting and a good challenge. March 29, 2012
wasted my money This is the very first game from Big Fish that I stopped playing in the early sections. You are trapped in Whisper Valley. To escape, you have to find screen after screen of fuzzy items (the same items over and over again), hidden in dark drab screens, and moronic puzzles intersparsed. Only if you are new to HOG and have nothing to compare it to, you might enjoy it, August 4, 2012
Pretty good HOS It's pretty straight forward. A few HOS, then a mini-game, more HOS, another minigame. What I liked about it, was that not always an objects rightful name was used, but at times a description instead. Like dog could be "hates cats". Cactus could be "desert plant". As well as many others. Sometimes you had to think a bit (esp since English isn't my first language) In the HOS you can also searh for hidden lock and key for additional bonus points. As I haven't completed the game yet, I am not sure if it will unlock something at the end. August 4, 2012
Boring Game Older style, hidden object game. Graphics aren't very nice, and I just found it very boring. I might buy it if I had nothing else to play, but with so many great games I haven't played yet, I don't think so. :) August 2, 2012
Where is my torch? I uninstalled the trial of this game with 43 minutes left. Mainly because it is soooo dark - as are a lot of HO games unfortunately. Scenes here are depressing, storyline uninteresting, mini games/puzzles elimentary. Sorry, can't say a good word for it! August 2, 2012
