Great first part! I really liked this game. The storyline is very interesting. It's about strange experiments in an asylum but it's not a dark game. There are 15 tapes to find. The graphics are great! The HOS are clear. The sound is good. Don't skip the dialogues because you can receive a clue. The puzzles are quite easy. The hint sytem is good. The map is really helpful. It took me 3 hours to finish. I had a great time and will continue to the second part: "Nightfall mysteries: Curse of the opera". June 15, 2012
Great game Yet another great game. I enjoyed the storyline of this game, the graphics were good if a little on the dark side. The music was suitably creepy and the puzzles were reasonably challenging. I would recommend this game to both puzzle and HOG fans alike. June 15, 2012
A Surpising Hit! I initially tried this game when I had a hour to waste. By half way through that first hour, I was hooked! This game is creepy, but not too creepy. The soundtrack is very fitting and slowly builds to the climax, the voiceovers are excellent and the graphics are very well done. This game took me approximately 6 hours to complete but that was broken up into segments. I thought it was an excellent length. The puzzles can range from easy to tricky, but there is a skip button if necessary. The HOS are interesting, none of the items are so tiny you need a magnifying glass. Some are logically placed, some you need to hunt for, but overall I liked them. I recommend this game highly for anyone who likes a relatively straightforward, not too complex, HOG with a very good dash of creepiness thrown in. June 10, 2012
a nice keeper was a very good game , the ho's were well done , although you had to re-do several ho scenes , the objects were different , and the repeated objects were in different places. the puzzles varied from very challenging to somewhat boring , but for the most part interesting . the fetch and use inventory items were usually not far from their use point , although a few times you had to wander . their was a map that was very helpful at times. i would say that this game is definitely a keeper June 9, 2012
Great Game I just finished playing this game and i have to say it was one of the best hidden object games that i've played. Without a doubt the best part about this game was the story. A game's story line can either make or break a game and this one was pretty well done. I like how you're not the only person in the world and there are different characters to talk to, however, i did think that some of the roles were a bit corny or over done and the artwork for the characters wasnt exceptionally impressive. The environment was much richer and more detailed than the characters themselves. But this isnt a major downside to the game. The puzzles were enjoyable and not stressful, and the hidden object scenes were just as fun. The ending of the game basically sets up the second part of the series which i am looking forward to playing. So there is a continuing story line which is always a plus. Conclusion: A great game, very enjoyable with an ending that leaves you hungry for the second part of the series. May 15, 2012
Not too bad... Had a harder time trying to find hidden objects than I did trying to figure out what to do next. But that was a good thing. Wasn't overly frustrated with having to complete the game "linearly," it seemed pretty easy to intuit what to do/where to go in order to move the game along. April 2, 2012
Good from begining to end Well since I started this trilogy at the end with Black Heart, I have now played the first and had all the questions answered. This is a well done game with great visual and storyline. Just the right amount of HO scenes and medium difficulty puzzles. Definately worth playing! March 13, 2012
Not as good as Black Heart Same story line, but the characters not as well defind, and the game not as sophisticated as Black Heart. Lots of HOS, and not easy to see, had to use magnifying glass a lot. Liked the tapes, but the game was pretty short. March 12, 2012
Good game but not more I was not impressed of graphic, it seemed to be blurred sometimes in the HO scenes. The plot is a little far-fetched or forced. The riddles are interesting, but some of them are monotonous. The final chord with Victor was false in my opinion. But the general effect is good, but not more. As a plus: many HO scenes, audio cassettes stories and background music. February 26, 2012
Much much better than Curse of the Opera This one did not have that Annoying music in background that distracted you. Better, crisper Hogs, All in all just better done and enjoyed alot. If they had it as a CE I probably would have bought it on this one. After downloading the third one to this series I downloaded and started playing the first one, now the second and then will play the new one I bought. I played the others so long ago I wanted to start from the beginning of the story. February 23, 2012
