HOS-centered, point- and award-based game. A bit dry. There is a nominal story here, but it's in the background and not that engaging. The gameplay is pretty dry. This isn't an adventure filled with puzzles. It's pretty much just hidden object scenes. There are some new twists, however. Finding objects gets you points, which you can spend on tools that provide hints or more points. When and which to buy become part of your strategy. There is also an extensive award board- for finding so many items in so much time, for not using hints, for finding bonus items, etc. If you just want HOS, this is your game. If you're more interested in story, characters and atmosphere, it's probably not. November 23, 2011
One of the better HOS I really like that this is a true HOS, not a lot of puzzles. The graphics are good enough to actually make out what the objects are. My favorite part, though, is the Unlimited Mode, which really adds to the overall experience. December 22, 2011
Great game I really liked this game. VERY different from the other HOG I've played. I especially like that you can go back in the unlimited mode and play the games again and try to beat your best time. December 17, 2011
Depends on what you are looking for Fun for HOG enthusiasts. no plot November 15, 2011
Hidden Object Gamers Paradise! If you like HO games and are tired of the vampires, werewolves and gorey offerings that are currently flooding our genre then this game is FOR YOU! The plot features a young married couple, a postman and an old mystery. Audrey, through the game player, seeks to find and rescue her husband from--well, she doesn't know who. There are plenty of scenes and TONS of HOs to find. As you progress through the story/scenes, you earn points for each HO you find. There are also HOs to find in every scene (3 postage stamps), black cats that once you find 50 you unlock unlimited HO mode; and 4 objects you can 'buy' using your points that actually assist you in your searches: for example a camera that flashes and shows the location of everything on your list at that moment. So there are some unique things about this game that set it apart from the usual HO games, besides the story/plot. As you complete each chapter, you learn more about the story, Audrey's husband, who has him & why and who/what the letters are from...and who is helping Audrey?! There is a sequel to this game, Letters from Nowhere 2. I also played it and liked it, too! Great game from a HO standpoint--lots of HO scenes and things to find. I spent several hours over several days playing this game and enjoyed it. January 21, 2012
Fun to play!!! This was a fairly easy game but lots of fun to play. Some of the items were harder to find than I thought. The graphics were good. Just right if you don't want to think to hard about remember all the locations like in many hidden object games. December 26, 2011
Letters from Nowhere Pretty straightforward hidden object game. I thought the plot was going to be a sentimental love story gone wrong; turned out to be weirder with a supernatural twist. Includes acruing points to use to purchase objects that will help you find items on the HOG list. I was disappointed to discover that there is no resolution to the story. It is "To be continued". I recommend this game with reservations. It's a good game for the $2.99 deal, not so much for full price. December 31, 2011
Very frustrating! This was a good game and I would have bought it - but in the 2nd level - there was a target that had to be combined with another hidden item. The hint button just kept showing me the target so I was stuck! Very frustrating! Could not progress beyond this point. December 26, 2011
ONE BUSY, BUSY HOG!!! Had a lot of promise, however, objects needed extra scrutiny. Lots of challenging achievements, however, I don't have that kind of time or patience to search for itty bitty objects, attempt to better previous scores, win achievements and collect stamps while holding a magnifying glass--not to say I've never done so. Just don't want to work that hard in a game anymore. I would recommend this game though as a lot of work and thought went into this HOG. December 27, 2011
Very creepy I bought this game and enjoyed playing until the story became so disturbing so I uninstalled it. I love hidden object games but it is getting hard to find any that are lighthearted. If you don't like dark stories don't waste your money. January 20, 2012
