The Dragon Dance 2.2 5 16 16
not my choice! problematic with 64 bit system, couldn't let go of tools once I used them, had trouble navigating my way around. While the graphics and sound are good, the story play is confusing, with little or no direction from the game itself. I rank myself as pretty good on HO games, and got nowhere on this in 45 mins. Entertaining Bright grafic, good challenges, funny November 20, 2011
too many technical problems I got to the library. The drawer already had the knob on it. I completed the library and basement goals but there is no where to go. Just a waste of time because each of the rooms says no available hints and the quest checks off the goals but nothing is added. December 30, 2011
The Dragon Dance The music was soothing and story apropriate. It is a Hidden Object with puzzles of which some are easy and others really have you going. You do not allows get a hint when you need it. Challenge on! (Laughing) I have not finished the game yet but I bought it and am looking forward to playing the rest of it. December 29, 2011
A game that pins you down I am extremely interested in the History of Ancient China, its legends, its philosophy and chinese characters [writing] fascinate me. No wonder then if I jumped on the demo of Dragon Dance as it was offered on the Daily Deal. Much to my disappointment. The game has potential and could have certainly been a better one had it been developed differently and polished. I liked the locations, though; for once they are very neat - I take it they are actual photos - and tidy, which makes HO finding easier on the whole, except when the scene is very dark and you have a Bed Bug to find ! Unfortunately the game mechanics are awkward, the hint system unfriendly, the inventory items have no label, the linearity is very high, and you cannot exit a HOS. I have no idea whether it's due to a glitch but I never managed to locate the solvent needed to decypher the writings on the back of a carpet. It's nowhere to be found. I got stranded in China, stuck for the first time in my life as a gamer. Amusing. The story - involving a dragon...of course, we are in China - doesn't seem particularly gripping and the tasks are not exactly exciting. Difficult to give the game more than 2 stars as it is. A NO NO This game is not a good purchase at all. The clues and hints are all but nonexistent and it is very hard to navigate the game. The graphics are not that good and there is no guide or blog walk through! January 31, 2012
Finicky & Buggy This is definitely the worse game I've purchased from Big Fish. There are many technical errors -- missing items that are necessary to proceed, puzzles that were completed before I attempted them, and hot spots that should have been there but weren't. Usually by quitting and restarting, I could trigger things to get past these, but it is quite frustrating. Also frustrating are the finicky aspects of where you click or when you can click something. At times, an object is located right next to the back arrow...so when you click to grab something, you go back a screen. I'll keep the game around for when there's nothing else to play, but I can only put up with it for about 15 minutes before it makes me too angry. Graphics are okay, but rather cartoonish and simple. I click as quickly as possible through the dialogues, since they are just silly. January 11, 2012
Frustrating This game was good in some ways as the graphics were good and the story line was somewhat interesting, but the animation was very old school. So much of the time I had no idea where to go. There were no hints most of the time either and then when there were you had to click just a small certain spot that I couldn't find, or I would click the spot twelve times and the 13th time it would work. I had to use the walkthrough alot and spent a lot of time going back and forth. I really wouldn't recommend this game January 2, 2012
A Real Buggy Adventure HOG I thought this would be a good game, but I am glad I only paid $2.99 for it. This has some problems with bugs. Also, the walk-through was not available through the game description. I usually get the walk-through just in case I need it. This was harder to do than usual. Also, I had problems getting out of the game. The good about this is that I only had to use the walk-through to find items that I needed. There are many areas where it is intuitive. I like to be able to play without using the walk-through a lot. The story line is pretty good, but I would have liked to have seen some real interaction between Edward and Mei Li. She should be the one that gives him assistance in completing the tasks. It seemed to be all about Edward and the search for the Dragon Dance. However, there also were not any villains for him to overcome. I would only recommend this if you can get on the cheap. December 29, 2011
Freezing The game continuously kept freezing up on me and I had to go out and back in at every single step of the way. I had trouble in a couple of areas where things did not work properly and I had to try for around 10 minutes of so until it decided to work. The graphics are very good, hidden object scenes are good, but other than that, if you like to freeze and have many issues, I would suggest that you do not purchase this game, it was a waste of my money and time.
