not very challenging too simple but cute for the grand kids June 21, 2012
TOTALLY OPPOSITE OF THE OTHER TWO; TOO BAD I was disappointed in this game, as I enjoyed the other two games and thought they were challenging. This game took the fun-loving MC and turned him into an evil character along the lines of all the other dark games out there today. Definitely not the direction these games should have taken. The format of the game was similar to the others, except this time you are playing against the MC in order to release prisoners he has captured and caged. There are numerous types of games to play that are selected by spinning a Wheel-of-Fortune-type wheel. Not all games are available immediately for play and here comes the main problem I have with the game. While playing the games, a Bonus Game icon pops up that you need to play to try to select pieces of poker chips in order to earn hints, skips or chips to unlock additional games. The time available to do this is ridiculously short. I think there is something about finding the pieces of a given color of chip but with the time so short and the pieces hard to find, I was lucky to click on any piece, let alone try to limit myself to a specific color. By the time I released all the prisoners, I still had not unlocked all the types of games that could be played and I think that is a real waste of my money. Once all the prisoners are released, unlimited play is available, but the same principles apply, i.e., the extremely short Bonus Games to try to get chips to unlock more games. Perhaps this was supposed to be justification for the cost of the game, but to me it just meant more torture. By taking this 180 degree turn from the premise of the previous games, the developers have shot themselves in the foot. January 5, 2015
If I could have given zero stars, I would have. The evil character that had my grandpa (and a few others) hostage was psychotically silly. The games almost played themselves, I had very little if any challenge to it. I never figured out what the broken shards were for except to unlock a few poorly thought out side games. The other hostages were so annoying, if the option was available, I would have let the silly psycho keep them. Major waste of money/credit. June 3, 2012
hate is a strong word but the music was making me crazy and after 40 minutes of playing i had a pain in my temples and eyes...every game had a sort of haze to it that made you have to strain to see what you were looking for. if you don't need glasses or have a new script, i would not bother i did not think it worth the money. IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS I WOULD!! I bought the first of this series, hoping I could get into it, thank goodness it was a daily deal. I tried the second one, forget it!! just a re-hash of the first one, only different scenes. THIS ONE IS THE WORST! Didn't make it through the trial, stupid games, same host, I was able to release 1 contestant, in over 25 minutes of playing this 'game'. Unless your a glutton for punishment you DON'T deserve, skip this insanity!!! I play Top Ten Solitaire everyday, have to go through computer, it won't work on windows 7 ! May 30, 2013
