True Detective Solitaire 3.1 5 11 11
I Have No Idea What Crime I'm Supposed To Solve But It's A Great Solitaire Game You can choose from 9 different Detective Themed cards and 3 styles of Face cards, in this Higher/Lower game of solitaire. The object of the game is to remove all gold cards from the board by choosing cards either one number higher or one number lower than the deck card, regardless of suit. If you remove all gold cards you win the hand with the highest number of points earned even if regular cards are remaining. The Jackpot meter starts to fill when you make combos of at least 6, and if you make enough combos, you can earn the Jackpot score of 1000 extra points. Cards that have a star on them are Bonus cards worth various amounts, if you get a perfect score, the score of the current level will be added to the next level. In Newbie Mode you can replay any level for a better score, in Professional Mode you can only replay the entire pack of 10 levels. The points you earn can be used to purchase Mulligans which will undo your last move including using bonuses, Shuffle allows you to put all cards back in the deck and deal new cards, and a Joker which can be used as a wild card, enjoy! This Game Is The Bomb, Hours and Hours of Fun This is an extremely challenging yet fun rendition of solitaire. It has great background music, different levels, a store to buy "boosts" to help your game, different virtual rooms to play in, and a background storyline I haven't figured out yet because I've been too busy trying to "ace" this game. It is very challenging, solitaire outside the box, and takes a while to adjust your mindset to this riveting game. Five thumbs up for this one. April 29, 2015
What a Challenge! Once you get into this game and see how it really works, youll be hooked. Over the course of 2 weeks, I beat "Newbie" levels and then "Professional" levels. I was addicted. You have to have a number of special cards in order to advance into the next levels. I loved the graphics in this game. Its the biggest reason I was drawn into it. The only thing I found annoying was the noise it makes when you knock a card out that "springy" noise was atrocious, but once your addicted, it hardly matters anymore, you have one thing in mind and that is getting those golden cards. Loved this and now going to start on the 2nd game in the series. I highly recommend this game and please try to get into the game to understand everything before you chuck it away, thinking it isn't for you. Anyone who loves Solitaire will be entranced! True Detective Solitaire Another great Solitaire game to play April 30, 2015
How is this a Detective solitare? where is the crime? I bought this game because I love solitaire with stories. Thus far all I see is a different background, there has been no story. You start out with a office background to play cards on. The next scene I am on is the backyard. Where is the crime? Where is the story? No interesting store like in other solitarie games. The cards have no option to enlarge them. Boring thus far. I haven't seen anything yet to explain why the game is called true detective. I bought the game but so grateful I used a coupon I have bought every solitarie game from BFG and this is the only one I regret. I recently bought the far kingdoms age of solitare and enjoy it. Same old thing This is another in a series of solitaire games by this maker that are all the same. Makes you wonder how many variations of the same theme can these people come up with, and why does BigFish keep promoting them. This isn't a bad game for anyone who hasn't already played one of the other ones in this series. Otherwise it's a case of been there, done that. April 29, 2015
No Detecting Here! Most solitaire games are basically the same and I have some that actually tells a story, this one does not. I decided to demo it because it said you would solve the mystery from clues found in your gameplay, but I found no clues. In fact, there is no story, so how would you know you found a clue. If you just like to play solitaire, this one will pass as OK, but if you are playing to solve an adventure, walk on by. No story, no clues, nothing interesting here. April 29, 2015
Flawed Cursor This is a typical solitaire game with just a different background and a different looping soundtrack than all of the others. This game is particularly irritating in that the cursor 'skips' over several PLAYABLE cards in the deck which MAY only be revisited by the use of mulligans which are limited or expensive to buy. As a result of this continual problem, I only played for about 20 minutes of the trial. April 29, 2015
There's No Mystery with True Detective Solitaire The description of this game leads one to believe there will be something really different and special about True Detective Solitaire. But alas, I was sorely disappointed. For the most part, the graphics were okay and the music was fine. You could choose the face and the back of your card deck which is standard in almost all solitaire games. But after that, things go downhill and nothing makes this game stand out. First, there is no story. I had no idea what the crime was nor what in the world I was supposed to be solving. Card animation was minimal. Game play is one card higher or lower than the base deck. You can buy powerups but there are only three of them which don't do much at all. There is no initiative to strive for a great score -- there is no bonus for long card chains which was a big letdown since I played 32 cards in a row. Reviewers who gave this more than three stars are either new to solitaire or are not being honest. There really was nothing different or fun about True Detective Solitaire. A couple of new, innovative powerups could have been this game's saving grace. April 29, 2015
It's always the same No crime to solve, no mystery to find, just the same solitaire in a chain style every round with different layouts. I hoped for some variety. It was just boring, not even the upgrades you could get made it more enjoyable. December 12, 2015
