Haunted Hotel: Eternity Collector's Edition 4.2 5 64 64
What Have You Done Professor? Within minutes of signing a contract to provide security to your new boss, a crazed sniper opens fire on Professor Kevin Reynolds as he's delivering a speech! Tobias suggests hiding out at a nearby hotel, Hotel Eternity, which just might take you an eternity to escape the evil within. Someone or something wants this philanthropist to pay for his sins, until now, nobody questioned his methods for developing advanced medicines. What has the good professor done, detective? Can you play along with this mad mans "game" and save the professor, when one wrong answer could be your last? What a fantastic game, crammed full of entertainment. There are 20 Morphing Objects, 12 Morphing Masks, 19 clever Achievements, and 4 Puzzles to assemble with collected Puzzle Pieces! Some of the inventory items have Plus Signs requiring some type of interaction before using such as a quick puzzle to solve selecting buttons in a specific order. The Hidden Object Scenes are varied, list finds that reveal fragments under the items found, and even silhouetted shap finds where you find items that match the shapes shown. The Mini Games are fun but a tad bit on the easy side, finding matching pairs or sliding tiles around using a single empty slot to maneuver the tiles. This Collectors Edition has Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music, Achievements, Collectible Masks, Puzzle Collection, a Secret Room, Morphing Objects, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! This game is unbelievable! Well, once again back in a spooky (emphasis on spooky) motel with downright funny detective. This guy is a trip! The VO's are awesome. The characters in the game are fantastic. Your collectibles are Photo Fragments, Morphs, Masks, and Special Items. If you're into collecting these, I would suggest to peek at the strategy guide to make sure you got them, as not all 4 are in every scene. So far there is no special items like the goggles in another one we've played. Pretty straight forward. Story: You start off in a cafe having your morning cup of joe when this dudes walks up to you and hands you a letter from this doctor by the name of Kevin Richards. He will pay you $100,000 to protect him. The detective of course takes the case (like who wouldn't) and off we go. After we get past a sniper and make it to the car, we are off to our abandoned hotel. Kevin and Tobias all of a sudden get abducted, and now we are off to get them back. In the meantime you have some crazy mask man playing with your head. Now off to solve the case. Graphics: Off the hook. The pachyderm team I don't believe could have gotten any more gruesome. Music: The music is awesome and it really adds to the scenario of the game as well as the spookiness factor. H0GS: So far the only kind I played was put items together to get the next item, find the words on the list to get a main item, and a audio one where you have to find a certain item. Still a nice variety. Mini Games: Strictly made for this game. These minis are right up my alley as so far I haven't had the need for the strategy guide. But I am sure knowing this team, that won't be the case for all. Map: The map looks like security surveillance cameras. Red circle-Player, Question mark-Current task, Blue star-No current task, Green button-Active and Red button-Inactive. And yes it's a jump map. Just click on the t.v. screen on where you want to go. Kudos again to this team for making an outstanding game, and to the one who wrote the story and the detective's dialogue. Ten plus star game easy. I highly recommend this game. April 25, 2015
Dark, Sinister and Spine-Chilling!! Well it definitely was for me as I still have goose-bumps. You the detective are offered $100,000 to protect a businessman, Kevin, and I personally I didn?t like the character right from the start. You sign his contract and within seconds someone from afar is trying to assassinate him with bullets coming at you thick and fast. You manage to protect him by moving crates around and then run to his car only to be joined by Tobias who is Kevin?s security officer, they drive off heading to a safe house that Tobias says he has used before and it is definitely safe. He enters the Haunted Hotel first in order to turn on the lights and check that no one is there but when you and Kevin follow him in he?s gone. All that?s left of him are his clothes - has he been vaporised?? A few seconds later Kevin is taken, but by whom and why? Then you hear the kidnapper?s voice speaking from a monitor screen - for me it is the best gravelly voice I have ever heard and instantly the goose-bumps started. He?s menacing and taunts you as you attempt to overcome obstacles and not get caught in any of his traps that have been set up all through the building. Levels: Casual, Advanced, Hardcore and Custom. Length: 6 Chapters and the Bonus Inventory: Lockable Map: A jump map that shows the active areas. HOS: Lists, silhouettes, so far all really well done. Mini Games/Puzzles: All different types, some easy, some hard, including ?tearing your hair out? types. Extras: Wallpapers, Concept Art, Music and a Secret Room is available once you have finished the Bonus Game. Achievements: 20 Morphs: 20 Masks: 12 to collect in total . The first one I collected was named Cheap Mask which I thought was rather funny. Puzzle Collection: There are four boards to fill. April 25, 2015
Creepy! The fifth game in the Haunted Hotel series seems to be the creepiest! The game is quite dark, so I recommend you use the gamma setting to lighten up your screen. Also, there are a lot of florescent lights to find! Anyway, you are a detective to whom Professor Kevin Reynolds offers $100K to keep him alive -- and of course you sign the contract. But a sniper fires several shots - how could they all miss? - so you escape with Kevin's Director of Security Tobias, who takes you to a "safe house" - Ha! You arrive at the Eternity Hotel where Tobias vaporizes and the Professor is kidnapped by a weirdo in a gas mask and a protective suit. Turns out the Professor contributed $$$ to an Eternity Project which through various mini-games you discover everyone died - including Tobias! There are four modes of play, including custom. The HOPs are varied but pretty easy and are used to explain the story. The mini-games all fit the story. My favorite was the "super puzzle" - one of those multi-step ones where you have to figure out what to do. The puzzle hint was pretty worthless, but it was quite fun to solve. Of course there is a strategy guide to help, and show you where all the collectibles are. There are 12 trophy masks that are quite ugly, 4 photo puzzle collections - you get to solve one in the demo. The 19 achievements are mostly time and skip based. There are morphing objects as well, plus something called a "special item" to find. The CE bling also includes a Secret Room -- one of my favorite extras from this developer. Although the demo was only a little over an hour, it was enough to whet my appetite for this creepy but clever game. Try it and see! April 25, 2015
WOW!!! THIS EDITION OF HAUNTED HOTEL IS AMAZING... You have been assigned to protect Professor Kevin Reynolds. Not a task for the faint of heart because he is a target for assassination. He created a secret medical experiment named Project Eternity and your suspect is out for revenge. I wouldn't volunteer for this project myself and this thriller is for mature audience's not kids. Incredibly graphics and story will keep you on the edge of your seat during play, until something jumps out at you and scare's your pants off. I highly recommend this ground breaker and horror fans will be impressed. Excellent special effects and storyline. Bonus play is awesome too. Remember to check Extras for collectibles, achievements, and the usual CE bling. April 25, 2015
Elephant Delivers a Hauntingly Great Game! Over time, the Haunted Hotel series has developed improvements and positive changes from being solely a good hidden-object with a story type of game. Eternity's Collection is the latest sequel packed with an immersive and mysterious story and a top quality hidden-object adventure game. Collectibles, morphing items, bonus gameplay and achievements put this game at the top of BFG's already expansive array of games for all ages. Detective, you have been hired to protect an important figure and immediately must put your skills to the highest test. Will you succeed? Enjoy! -Mama Mia- April 25, 2015
A New Theme for Haunted Hotel - This One is Dark and Really Creepy This latest installment of the Haunted Hotel series is certainly a departure from the previous games in the series and this one is for those of you who love dark and creepy. The graphics support this latest game and seem to be more of the ultra-clean computer generated style. Gone is that wonderful hand-drawn artwork that I happen to prefer in my games. The game does have voiceovers that are excellent and go along with the creepy theme as do the music and sound effects. Tools seem to be limited to the interactive map that does prove very useful when you have no idea what to do next, which is something that happened to me frequently. At least there are no helpers ? furry pet or otherwise. You are pretty much left to your own devices to work your way through Haunted Hotel Eternity. The two HOPs in the demo are varied and slightly interactive and the puzzles, although easy, are varied as well. The CE has morphing objects and collectibles to find. We also will collect puzzle pieces scattered about as we go through the game. Of course, we have the obligatory achievements that are mostly earned by being present and playing the game. Throw in the SG and a few of the other extras and we have a worthy CE offering that many will want to add to their collections. Although creepy games are not my favorite, I certainly found myself sucked in by the storyline and excellent gameplay. All in all Haunted Hotel Eternity will be a very good game and one that many of you will undoubtedly enjoy. The storyline is different and I did find myself intrigued and did want to find out how it will all end. I?m not sure that I will rush right out and get it but at some point I am sure it will end up being purchased either as a CE if there is a good sale or as an SE where I can use one of those many coupons I have hanging around. As always, I recommend you try the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy. April 25, 2015
Haunted Forever! This game was creepy, fun, busy, lots to do. Nothing to complain about. Morphing objects, collects mask, Cool HO's, Great characters and cut scenes. Great Ambiance. Game of the year so far for me. April 25, 2015
Excellent addition to this series... I also beta tested this one. I track the betas and give them stars. This one I gave a 5, which I rarely do to any game, but it had it all and was well worth it. Been out of town, so not going to do my usual review, but I bought this one without giving the demo a try. That is something I have only done with two other games. Yes, the other game came out this week aswell and it got the same rating and instant buy without the demo. Don't think anyone, of any play level, will be disappointed in this game at all. I think this one is the best of this series. Naturally, I have all of the others. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews. April 25, 2015
Excellent entry in the series Probably my favorite of the series so far. Perfect mix of good storyline, quality graphics, creepy atmosphere. HOS arn't overly difficult, but that's the way I like them. Good protoganist in the story. April 25, 2015
