Campfire Legends: The Babysitter 4.4 5 10 10
Don't get in the elevator! Was very surprised no one has reviewed this game. Very scary and creepy and my 2 faves. Is it a great game no but very enjoyable. Starts off with a camp out of all girls and telling ghost stories. One story is the babysitter . Gets job babysitting twin girls for a professor and his wife ,needs to make good impression .Things start happening moms mirror with lipstick saying get out, It's is a good game and pretty good story. You get to find the smallest fireflies for hints and to skip puzzles and yes hos are junk piles. Try it but be careful cause things go bump and crash in the night. Not for kids July 7, 2015
This is a great challenging game! This game kind of reminds me of The Emptiness. It is different and original and best of all challenging! It even has a little creep factor to it with eerie music while you are playing. You really have to look for objects in different rooms and sometimes they are hard to spot! I have played all three of Campfire Legends and this is the best one! November 6, 2015
BASED ON FULL GAME This is the second in a series of 3. I initially finished this game in 2011. I feel this is the best of the 3, but I loved them all. The graphics are perfect. This game can also be challenging (in fact all of them in this series are). I still love this series, many years later and highly recommend trying it! July 26, 2016
More Like This This is the 2nd game in the trilogy of Campfire Legends! It isn't as creepy as the first but it was full of horror none the less. I loved also that you could play the diary after completing the main game. I loved the graphics, nice and crisp, the house was fantastic. Loved all of the mini games in this of course that is all there is ...mini games. I wish for more creepy games just like this! May 20, 2016
Shhhhhhhh!!! Dont Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead I played the Hookman series of this game and I was hooked(no pun intended) lol. So when I saw this one for sale I just had to try it, and it hooked me too. Had a blast playing the Demo so had to buy it too. These games might not have all the Bells and Whistles that the newer games do but they sure are a Blast to play, and parts are pretty hard to play. I look forward to finishing playing this one so yes I do recommend this game. May 20, 2016
Finally! A HOG that's realistic! This is my first review of a game, but I had to say that I think this is my favorite one so far. What particularly pleased me was that the hidden objects were done so that it mimicked real life. I am sick of the games that have a storyline which is suddenly interrupted by a spot filled with all sorts of improbable items, like clocks, pineapples and plastic feet, that have nothing to do with the story. And you know that they are all to be found in that one spot so you just keep looking. NOT THIS GAME. The objects you are looking for happen to be things that you are going to need to complete a particular task, such as wires, a screwdriver, a soldering iron and so on. And those items are not necessarily to be found in one place. You may get one item from one room and the others from somewhere else. And the places where items are hidden are full of objects that you would expect to be in such a place. The kitchen drawer contains a beer opener, spatula, spoons, etc. Yes, some of the stuff is small and/or you only see an edge of the object, because they are drawn to scale. I hate games where you find a sock and an umbrella that are the same size. I found a total of three "fireflies" which you need for hints or to skip a mini-game. I decided not to bother with them and just concentrate on finding the stuff I was supposed to, so I really used no hints and skipped no games. For that reason, I found this game really challenging, but once you embrace the fact that it is not predigested for you, it's great. Most of the mini-games you get no instruction of any kind, except perhaps how to move objects. The rest is up to you, as it would be if you were faced with this situation out of the blue. I always have to wonder, though, why places in most all of these games look like abandoned 1970's Russian technology. July 19, 2016
A real thinker, not the run of the mill HO This game is great, and I never give reviews. Good graphics, throw in some eerie music, with a great story line, and some jump out of your skin scenes and you have a good game. Not the normal HO you have to find pieces to solve a puzzle, and some of these puzzles will challenge you. Through out the game you have to find fireflies to get your hints, but be frugal with them. There are places you wont find more, but usually if you use them you can find another close by. BUY ALL 3 and play them in order to get a good game flow. Hookman, Babysitter, then Last act.The great part about this game is you have the choice to start where you left off, or start over. I will play these more than once. three great games for your collection. May 31, 2016
COME ON, COME CLOSER AND I'LL TELL YOU A STORY A great challenging game which had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. There are voiceovers, but you don't have a journal/diary or interactive map, however it is easy to get move around without getting lost or what to do next. You collect little bugs/fire flies as you move around to use as hints. You will need these and you can collect up to 5 at a time. The graphics are good - kind of gritty but not too dark. Sound is good and the music is very creepy. There are no hidden object games in the main game. However, in Dr Haken's Journal, which you can play after you have played the main game, there are timed hidden object games to play for each room. You have 5 minutes to find all the items before you can go to the next room. I loved this and am still playing my way through the rooms. The mini games range from quite challenging to really hard. These can take a while to do, but if it gets just too hard then you can use your hints to skip the mini-games. I didn't do this, although I did come close a couple of times. So I looked in the walk through online to help. All up the game took me about 7 hours to play. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I am going to buy 'Campfire - Last Act' to finish off the entire series. Definitely recommended - especially if you want a serious challenge with a great story line. This game is like reading a horror comic book but you are actually part of it. The developers did a terrific job and hopefully will keep bringing games like this out. This series is just so different from all those cookie cutter games out there, especially if you are in the mood for something different. WATCH YOUR BACK!!! July 22, 2015
allisgr1 Good challenging game also played the first one in the series Campfire Legends : The Hook. This version also has seek and find extras when you get to the end of the game. I guess I will now purchase the third in the series!! May 8, 2016
Horrible game This game is extremely frustrating. I usually play a demo before buying, but it was a one day sale and I didn't have time to play it first, so based on the 5 star review, I bought it. How bad could it be, anyway? Maybe considered boring by some, but that' O.K. Here are some of the problems. There may be more but I didn't play very far into the game and doubt I ever will. First, I play games for relaxation, so when a game is downright frustrating, it annoys me. This game has no clues that regenerate. You are supposed to find "fire flies". Why they are called fireflies, I don't know, but they don't glow and look like very small jade stones surrounded by dull gold. HOS items are very small and some impossible to see. There are misleading directions such as "pick up the spilled items from your purse from the ground" when in fact one item is hanging from a fence. Graphics are acceptable and this could have been a good game. As it is, it is nothing but frustrating and I hate to give it even one star for that reason. I wish BFG had a money back guarantee, as I would use it for this game. BFG shouldn't even offer it. July 16, 2015
