Mythic Wonders: Child of Prophecy Collector's Edition 3.5 5 48 48
Exquisite MADE IN JAPAN!!! :) Adopt a baby, someone takes your little tike and you have to track him down running thru the beautiful country side to do so. This game is LONG. I usually do not care for a game longer than 4 hours, no matter how much I like it. As most games lose the story most of the way thru then it is just tedious never ending tasks. This one held my interest. I basically played this one all day non stop, I enjoyed the gorgeous graphics, like playing on a painted canvas. I LOVED 100% Japanese them, very authentic. Every single object fit the theme!!! You cannot say that about 98% of other games. Even the mini games and HO's were true to the game. Each scene was beautiful and not over done or too busy. I read other reviewers who rated this with BAD graphics. I had no trouble and did not find any scene blurry in any fashion. I would recommend that the fish out there try the demo. It is a slower paced game, I did not find it boring. If you prefer blood, guts and more devilish themes, than this will not suit I thought the story was great, very unique and game play was smooth and not over done. The main game ended perfectly for those who want to wait for the SE. It does not end abruptly and actually gives you an ending so you do not lose out if you choose not to buy the CE. I bought this with the sale and I am not sorry I did but there are no replayable HO's or minigames which I was very sad to see at the end as I really enjoyed them during the main game. Because of this, I probably would not have purchased the CE if not for the sale. I did enjoy this game so much, that I will add this to my #1 favorite game folder. These are the games I replay often. This will definitely be a love it or hate it for many gamers. While it has good guys and bad guys, this is a game you can play with young children and they will not have nightmares. Gamers who prefer to have non stop clicking and more than 5 objectives/mini games per scene will find this slow paced. I personally enjoyed my overseas trip and felt like I was on a nice vacation. Only one way to know if this is your "cup of tea". Try it and see! May 24, 2015
Mythic Wonders: Child of Prophecy Although I am a rabid hidden object game player, this is my first review. I am so happy I ignored the first two star rating this morning and decided to try this game. I bought it after 15 minutes! The first reviewer really hated the graphics and I LOVE them. This game it supposed to convey a mythical, mystic atmosphere hence the dreamy graphics. The voice overs are good and the story line is really nothing new, but the Japanese mythic slant makes the game intriguing. Please give this game a try and then make your judgment! May 23, 2015
I have spent a really enjoyable day just playing this game. The game starts a little slowly which will put people off but I think you should really give it a chance as it?s got a lot going for it. The game is easy on the eyes and not mind boggling like some others. The pace of the game never made me think I had to rush through it at top speed. A few little details but not spoilers: Length: 5 chapters plus the Bonus Game. Levels: 4 - Easy to Custom. I discovered that the volume for Environment, Sounds, Music were all set at 75 and were drowning out the Voice Over so I changed the above to 60 and left the voice over at 75 - it worked for me. Hint/Skip: Sorry I can?t remember as I don?t use Hints and very rarely use a Skip. HOS - All interactive and are mainly based on silhouettes, finding morphing objects and lists which get progressively more difficult. Mini Games/Puzzles: We?ve seen all these before but they have a different angle on some of them. Collectibles: Not mentioned in BFG?s blurb on the game so when I couldn?t find anything I just carried on playing until I purchased the game, and only then did I realise that there was an Origami Crane to find in every single scene (52 in all). Tips: If you don?t want them, please don?t read them. Finding the Origami Cranes: When you enter a new scene looking for an axe, scissors, wrench or whatever, instead look for the Crane as it stays there for approx 20-30 seconds before it morphs. If you are around my age (57) struggling with your eyesight or have visual problems find your magnifying glass before you enter a scene. Sadly my magnifying glass was leant to a grandchild for a spider project (I hate spiders) and I haven?t seen it since, so it took me 23 minutes to find just one Crane in one scene. I am loving this game. May 23, 2015
Give this one a chance Not a bad game. The graphics are not as intricate as those in some other games, but I don't think they're intended to be. The game has a dreamy quality to it. The voice overs are decent and the storyline (based on the demo) is interesting. I judge a story by whether I want to keep playing to find out what happens, whether I care about the characters. This one is intriguing enough to hold my interest. As with many HOGs, there's some back and forth, finding a piece here to work with a piece there - and you do have to suspend logic - like why wouldn't the main character have a key to her own closet with her? But I do think it's worth playing the demo, at least. And this is one I probably will buy. May 23, 2015
Really enjoying this game....don't know what the bad reviewers are playing When I read the reviews before buying this there was only negative ones but I bought it anyway to see for myself. So glad I didn't listen to those reviewers. ONe said the quality was grainy...I think he needs glasses. Also said that the collectables he couldn't find...REALLY think they need glasses now...lol. The collectables are origami cranes and they do disappear and reappear so you have to keep your eyes peeled for them but that's the point of collectables I think anyway. I'm only a small way into the game and I'm really enjoying it....it's challenging but not too much so and I love the graphics. All in all, glad I bought it and now back to it. May 23, 2015
exquisite. great fun game I absolutely love this game good storyline beautiful graphics I think. players. who complain about blurry pictures. need to upgrade their video cards. or drivers the game is technically advanced Japanese culture in its full is brought to your doorstep I really think this is the best game of 2015 May 25, 2015
:) Loved It !!! After reading some of the other reviews I will leave it to the excellent writers above to give you a description of the game. This is one of the best I have played in a while because of the graphics, music, storyline and flow :) I like that there was a little place that showed if you found the morphing crane in that particular scene :) It appears to me that the developers put a lot of time and care into the production of this wonderful game I am giving it a 5 star rating. finally one of the best game of the year ...!!!! I have beta tested thi game back on november , and I was wondering why it wasn't releaze it yet! According to my note, I thought, when I have played the beta version, that it was awsome, I gave + than five stars, of course many months have passed by, so I need to play it again to confirm my opinion and be more accurate with the review! Thanks to dvlps and BFG for this jewel! May 23, 2015
Mythic Wonders: Child of Prophecy Collector's Edition Another great game in the series May 25, 2015
Love the Orient My review is based on demo play so far. I thought the abandoned and abducted child line has been done before, but the mystical slant was great. I love the strong-willed female servant going out on her own to find her son admirable. Will purchase and hopefully have a happy ending. May 28, 2015
