Nordic Storm Solitaire 3.6 5 12 12
Decent Solitaire With A Nordic Theme I agree that there are better solitaire games available, but I really enjoyed this game. The cards themselves are pretty basic and sometimes difficult to figure out what they are at a glance, and it's available in English or Portuguese languages. This is a Higher/Lower solitaire game where the goal is to achieve 3 gold stars per game, you will lose a star for each card that remains on the board, however, you can replay the levels for a better score. There are also Achievements to earn for milestones such as using the undo button 25 times or playing 500 cards. Multipliers start at 6 consecutive cards, and you receive one undo button per level, there are also wild cards to find and artifacts that contain coins hidden under some cards. You can purchase Boosters in the store, and these can be purchased in any amount, if you want to buy 10 of one kind and 2 of another. The Boosters are: Lightning which removes any card of your choice, a Lens which allows you to see the first 2 cards on the draw pile, a Magnet which attracts the hammer to the top, Beans which reduce the minimum combo to 5 as well as receiving 5 times more coins per card removed, and Extra Cards which adds 5 more cards to the deck. Enjoy! June 9, 2015
Give this game a chance. It is very good! I played this game for several hours and you can get a rhythm going with it. I like the way the frozen cards are handled. I haven't seen that before. It makes it a little more tricky. The graphics will not set the world on fire but I prefer an interesting game without the fire works. June 9, 2015
Nordic Storm Solitaire It makes a change to play a game on Nordic adventures I hope more games come out on foreign adventures in the future June 10, 2015
simple fun This game requires little or no thought or plotting on how to get from one level to the other. The story line? What can I say except there is no storm. But the gameplay was good. Very relaxing game. here is a hint- only buy lightening and magnet power-ups. Lots of lightening not so much on the magnets- you will never need more than one per level. Clear those pesky leftover cards with your lightening. If you do that you can get 3 stars are nearly every level which amasses more gold to buy more lightening. You will have way more gold than you need if you only buy lightening and magnets. June 27, 2016
I like it! I almost didn't try this game because of some of the reviews. However, there were also a few people that really liked it so I downloaded it.Well, the story is just OK, but who cares! I always get the solitaire games to play solitaire and this one is different and fun!! No bells and whistles--just fun! June 16, 2016
Not bad I enjoyed this game and will be buying it. It is true that the cards are smaller than in some games, and the graphics could be prettier. But I am enjoying it. I like the frozen tiles that you have to use cards on twice, and the stone ones that you have to find a hammer to release. I like it that you can buy power-ups at a store with your points, and that you are allowed to do one move over if you make a mistake. I also like it that you can play any level over again to gain more stars. Not the prettiest game, but an enjoyable one. June 9, 2015
Relaxing Solitaire Game Really liked this game...relaxing..has some challenge..like the 3 gold stars..loved the sound of the magnet..I chuckled every time I used it. Agree with some of the reviews there are better games out there but if you are looking for something to unwind from a hard days work this is the game. I do not care about storylines in Solitaire games just want to play Solitaire. June 14, 2015
The Game That's Almost Great... As a solitaire fan and liking games with story lines, I was prepared to enjoy this one. Solitaire, Vikings, adventure-a great mix, right? Well.....If better done it could've been great but missed the mark in several places. The cards are well drawn but on the small side (tough for those with less than excellent sight# and the odd "rune" shapes for numbers slow down play a bit. But not perhaps a major issue. The cartoon type graphics are unlovely and the characters are far from heroic looking. They look more like the cast of a slapstick comedy #not a flattering comparison). The music is ok but boring after awhile so I muted it. Sound effects are scarce but acceptable. I played through 30 min. of the demo and realized this game just didn't hold up against others in the solitaire genre. But, as always, I advise giving it a try. However, also try some of the many better made offerings from BF and see what suits you. On a trial basis, I recommend it if only for comparison with other similar games. June 9, 2015
Just a Card game Played the demo. Graphics were fine. That's about all I can say for the game. It was so boring. The guy announced a storm was coming, but the only thing that happened was the playing of the cards. Sure did not measure up to other solitaire games at all, for example, Regency Solitaire or The Chronicles of Emerland. June 9, 2015
Another boring Solitair clone This game have most of features of other solitaire games, power ups bonus and such, and is quite the looker, but it (very) quickly gets old, because, if you restart a level, it's completely the same cards you se on the the screen. And that's very bad in my book, since it's then very hard to reply a level if you only got 2 stars (of 3). Could have been a contender. June 10, 2015
