Final Cut: Fame Fatale Collector's Edition 3.9 5 29 29
Getting The Scoop Wolf Studio's seems to have more than it's fair share of bad publicity lately. Audrey Quinn is the studios up and coming star, who has taken great strides to keep her private life out of the limelight. This years film festival has two leading ladies vying for that top recognition, Audrey Quinn and Veronica Malone. Your discretion is crucial, detective, what is the scoop on this elusive up and coming star? There's nothing better than a Final Cut mystery at Wolf Studios, right? Don't forget to look for the 41 hidden Wolf Studio symbols, and glance over the multiple Achievements so you know what to expect in order to earn them all. Some of the inventory items have plus signs indicating that some type of interaction must be done before using that item such as combining it with another inventory item. The Hidden Object Scenes are what makes this game so entertaining. All HOS have a variety of options, at first there may be list finds followed by silhouetted shapes, or you may have to find multiples of a couple items to receive a tool which will expose a list find, some even have descriptions that require you to find the item that matches the brief description given. Most of the scenes (not all) have a Morphing Object to discover,15 in total. If you're not into HOS, you can opt to play a Match 3 game instead. The Mini Games are quite decent ranging from simple tasks of swapping statues to the correct place according to the shape of the pedestal, to more complicated puzzles. My favorite was swapping tiles so that all symbols matched their neighboring tiles on all sides. None of the games are difficult so far, but they are enjoyable. This Collectors Edition has Achievements, replayable Puzzles and Hidden Object Scenes, 41 Collectible Wolf Studio Symbols, 15 Morphing Objects in the HOS, the Making of, Pictures, Music, a Souvenir Room, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! Lights, Camera, Action ? Fame Fatale Shines a Spotlight on Film?s Golden Era Fame Fatale is a tale of two Audrey?s one of whom covets fame, fortune and that granddaddy of all awards ? that longed for golden statue. Explore this tale of glamour, deception, and murder as you play this great whodunit mystery from our epic friends. The graphics are excellent with the same art deco design and scenery of the previous games in the series. When I see a game from this developer, I know that everything will be top-notch, from the graphics right down to the smallest detail of the sound package. I love the way this game has been presented both in graphics and sound. In Fame Fatale you will have the standard inventory bar with an interactive, transporter type map for instant movement. If you choose certain modes of gameplay your map will also indicate areas where your current tasks are available. There are various types of interactive HOPs, some are the standard list type and others are silhouette type. No matter what type is presented they are done with flair and that special epic touch. If you have played other HOPA games from this team then you know what to expect. If you are not familiar with their creative genius you are in for a treat and I am sure you will be delighted with the variety that you will encounter. Although there were not too many puzzles in the demo, there was one that I found very challenging and fun. It took a bit of time and I finally skipped it since I didn?t want to chew up valuable demo time. The other puzzles were quite good and not just the same old thing we usually find. The CE version of Final Cut Fame Fatale has a plethora of extras to keep you busy as you look for morphing objects, collectibles and hidden symbols. IMHO, the most valuable part of the CE version is the integrated strategy guide that is there to get you through those tricky moments when you need help solving a puzzle or simply to find what your next step in the game should be. In the end, this is a spectacular game and, at least for me, probably the best of the series. Fame Fatale has captured my interest, not only in the story but with the gameplay itself. Thumbs up and kudos to this creative team who has presented a wonderful new HOPA adventure for our enjoyment. As always, I recommend that you at least try the demo to see if this is a game you will like. May 28, 2015
Eipix deliver's another outstanding installment of Final Cut 5 !!! Today is the time of this year?s film festival, and it?s a head-to-head contest of two most famous stars of the silver screen ? Audrey Quinn, working at the Wolf Studios and Veronica Malone, the reigning femme fatale, who never shies away from the spotlight. Unlike her, Audrey never reveals information about her private life. Maybe that?s why Veronica Malone hired you to investigate what Audrey Quinn is hiding. Maybe during the festival in the VIP zone you will be able to find something important? What mysterious man was seen near the Audrey? The tragedy that occurs with Audrey soon takes a twisting turn as you progress thru your investigation. The conclusion of the game isn't what you expect and the story-line is less than predictable. Developers also have created more difficult Hidden object scenes and brain bending puzzles, which I appreciate. I love all the Final Cut editions and this one is worth playing multiple times. Eipix and Bigfish are "Creating Worlds" as they claim at the beginning of all their games. I love it!!! May 31, 2015
Yet another intriguing game from these devs. I played the demo and another hour or so after I purchased it, and I enjoyed it a lot. As per usual with these devs excellent graphics, voices, music, etc, etc - I could not fault it. All the usual Extras especially my favourite which is replaying HOS to get a 100% score, and finding the morphs as I've already missed one! The length of the game is 6 Chapters plus the Bonus. The collectibles are 41 Wolf Studios Logos, some are quite difficult to find as they blend in so well with the background. Off to finish the game now. May 28, 2015
Yes! Final Cut has become one of my favorite series, almost on par with MCF. This one is no exception. Perfection! Everything to qualify as a true CE, and I won't need a sale to buy. Morphing objects, great doable puzzles, extraordinary characters right out of a Phillip Marlowe novel. Pitch perfect sound, outstanding graphics, and on and on and on. I'l be having a great weekend! HIGH QUALITY EIPIX is my favorite developer ... however some of their recent games have left a bit to be desired ... this one was GREAT ! ... quality artwork, technically GOOD ... animation was the USUAL high quality, no stuttering ... varied HOs and loved the MINI GAMES but some of them could have been created to move along a bit faster ... coulda solved them with much LESS clicking ... great continuity, voice overs and music ... please keep up the TOP QUALITY i know you can produce! ... One of the bet this year! I dreamed I was watching a technicolor movie about film stars in the 1930's. Or maybe I was playing Final Cut: Fame Fatale CE. The costumes and Art Deco touches made it authentic. Sometimes I get frustrated with games that have too many HOS scenes, especially when they look like junk piles. I loved the HOS in this game. Truly new and creative methods of finding items. The morphing items are in the HOS so be on the lookout because you won't return to the scene. I missed most of the collectibles because I was so caught up in the storyline, but that gives me a reason to play again soon. Don't miss this one! June 18, 2015
Another great game from Eipix This is the 4th game in the Final Cut series and I enjoyed it very much great storyline the HOPS were a little tough but overall great game! May 28, 2015
