THE BEST GAME IN QUITE A WHILE!!! Don't pass this one up!!!! I haven't written many reviews lately but I had to submit mine for this game. It really is an awesome game and the best one I have played in ages, well in my humble opinion anyway. The storyline is great and a nice take on the "wolf" theme. This visuals, music, voiceovers, mini games and HO's are all top notch. I played on "hard" and it was the most difficult game I have played in months. I had to skip a mini-game, which I never do. I even had to check the strategy guide now and then. It took me over six hours to finish the game, which is always a plus. My only complaint is the bonus game which started out good but ended quickly and made no sense at all. I would suggest just buying the standard game but you may need the strategy guide. WORTH THE BUY Happy Gaming July 21, 2015
The Family Curse Just Got Complicated The DeLupe family has protected their city for ages, burdened with a curse that gives them the strength no mortal man possesses! Someone is trying to kill Count DeLupe, if they succeed before his son Pierre comes of age, the entire town will be in danger, his family will be in grave danger as well! By the time you arrive, Count DeLupe has gone missing, and the entire town is surrounded by creatures neither man nor beast, and Pierre is fighting a losing battle single handedly. To complicate matters even more, a doctor working for the Count has finally found the cure to the curse! Will Pierre walk in his father's footsteps, or will the family curse end, right here, right now? You have some pretty cool abilities yourself detective, pressing on that sweet tattoo you have will activate your super human powers too. Freeing restless spirits will unlock the mysteries of your ancestors, with a quick mini game requiring you to find 5 clues as to why and how that person passed away, using a magnifying glass. Once that spirit "moves on" you can assemble a small jigsaw puzzle out of torn picture fragments, that will reveal bits and pieces of the mystery. There are Complex Inventory items shown with a red background that turns green when another inventory item has been found that can be combined with it. You will collect 11 mythical Monsters throughout the game, such as the Loch Ness Monster and Sasquatch himself, and there are 11 Achievements to earn. The Hidden Object Scenes are mostly Silhouette Shape finds, but there are also listed finds and scenes where you replace items into the scene. The Mini Games range from super simple to super fun, turning three rings on a disc to complete a picture, or tracing a symbol using your mouse, making sure you don't wander over the sides to much. I actually enjoyed the Mini Game where you had to adjust the speed in which four tokens spun so that the ball located in the first token would be exchanged to the second token, third and fourth, so all four tokens had to be timed perfectly, or the ball would drop and you have to start all over. This Collector's Edition has 4 Music Soundtracks, 7 Wallpapers, 9 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Screensavers, 12 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 replayable Mini Games, 11 Achievements, 11 Collectible Monsters, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! Fabulous in all it's Wolfiness! Another excellent Story for this Series! (CE) This was one of the most splendid games I've played in a long while in this series. A couple of games in this series felt like "humps" to get you through. This round the developers stepped up and delivered an awesome game. I liked every bit of it. The story kept my attention, the puzzles challenged my mind, and the graphics captivated me with their beauty and the music tied it all together. Five stars all the way across. July 19, 2015
A BEASTLY DELIGHT WHICH SHOULD TRANSFORM INTO A HOWLING SUCCESS ONE OF THIS DEV'S BEST GAMES REVIEW ON FIRST 4 CHAPTERS OF THE ACTUAL GAME - 6 CHAPTERS PLUS A BONUS CHAPTER You are a detective to the rescue, called in by Count De Lupe to protect his son Pierre from a family curse. I LOVE THIS BEASTLY DELIGHT! It is fairly graphic and a little gruesome but not scary! The story, the graphics, the pace, the voice-overs, the puzzles and HOP scenes are all EXCELLENT! The story is a retelling of the curse of the werewolf. I purchased this game immediately. AFTER THE DEMO: The story becomes more intriguing involving another character not in the demo. Everything is not as it seems and there is deceit and intrigue. The games GETS BETTER. The puzzles are "beastly" good in this game. There is a chess puzzle which is devilish! HOP SCENES: Puzzle-like with some multi-step scenes. The scenes are varied with variations of silhouettes, storybook sequences, lists of items to locate, sentences with items written in BOLD LETTERS. They are much better than I have seen from this dev. PUZZLES: The BEST part of the game to me. There are more puzzles than HOP scenes. So well-crafted and vary in difficulty. They include variations of moving tile puzzles, dexterity puzzles which require skill with hand movements, rotating rings puzzles, sliding tiles puzzles, switch puzzles, Simon Says puzzles, a maze, chess puzzle. After killing each werewolf you must use a magnifying glass to obtain 5 clues about the werewolf. LEVELS: Casual, Advanced, Hard, Custom Hints 5 to 200 seconds Skips 5 to 200 seconds INVENTORY: Interactive with many puzzle-like activities GRAPHICS : Beautifully created. Just gorgeous graphics including the guys Good looks run in that family! EXTRAS: ? Map is provided as you play the game ? TATTOO on your arm which allows you to remove the carcasses of the werewolves and send them to the Great Beyond ? 11 Achievements ? Collect articles about fictitious creatures from around the world - Sasquatch, Wendigo, Loch Ness Monster, Mongolian Death Worm, Beast of Dean, Dingonek, Beast of Gvaudan, The Tatzelwurm, the Kraken. AWESOME I had never heard of some of these myths ? Usual Music, Wallpaper - Games - Art ? Strategy guide - HAS 47 PAGES HERE ARE THE DETAILS (SPOILERS) FOR THOSE WANT SPECIFIC INFO ON THE HIOP SCENES AND PUZZLES: HOP SCENES: A. Silhouette items from a story book (2 Mini HOP scenes) Same book used twice B. List of items to locate from a cabinet C. Silhouette items in a cabinet. Combine items before they can be released from the list D. EXCELLENT MULTI STEP HOP SCENE. Find inventory items listed in a sentence in BOLD letters, followed by a scene requiring you to put items back into the scene followed again by finding inventory items in BOLD letters AFTER THE DEMO: E. Mini- HOP scene - Locate a certain amount of one item. F. Mini- HOP scene Another scene where you locate a certain amount of one item. G. List of items which require interactivity PUZZLES: A. Variation of a Moving tile puzzle to open a satchel EASY B. Dexterity puzzle - trace a symbol without touching the sides followed by using a magnifying glass to observe clues (to me, more of a mini-HOP scene) EASY BUT MORE SKILL ORIENTED D. Variation of a rotating rings puzzle/physics puzzle involving ratio proportion with marbles - move marbles to the bottom of a grid MODERATE DIFFICULT TO DIFFICULT E. Variation of sliding tiles puzzle - aligning pins so that bars can be drug into a lock MODERATE DIFFICULT F. Variation of a switch puzzle - move statues to correct locations according to pictures MODERATE DIFFICULT G. Variation of Simon Says using gems around a picture frame EASY H. Dexterity puzzle - trace 3 symbols without touching sides - followed by using a magnifying glass to observe clues (a mini HOP scenes) EASY After you kill each werewolf you must locate 5 clues about the werewolf by using a magnifying glass AFTER THE DEMO: H. Variation of spot the difference. Remove flowers using stencils. MODERATE DIFFICULTY I. Chess puzzle - remove knights from the board by having werewolves jump over them - knights with shields must be jumped over twice - FIENDISHLY DIFFICULT - AWESOME J. Maze puzzle. You must find your way out of a maze. AWESOME K. Variation of a sliding tile puzzle - create a mosaic Always remember: "Even a man who is pure at heart, and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright." A beautiful, fun game I liked the graphics, the music, the story (yes it was another werewolf mystery). Hints and maps worked well for me. I enjoyed this one. July 19, 2015
Great Series - Great Game I typically don't buy a CE unless I truly love the Series. This one doesn't disappoint. Not sure what more i can add that hasn't been said already. Great graphics, logical puzzles, fun items to collect. Just an aside: Why do people feel they need to re-describe the intro to the game? I could understand this if the Developer didn't provide a snapshot, but that isn't the case with this one. Don't mean to take away from someone's enjoyment in reviewing a game. Just wondering?? Love it, but I love the game, it has everything, fun, great visual and sounds, but... I dont really get the ending in the bonus chapter...i dont know if its just me.. July 18, 2015
Great Game Play Quick review, LOVE IT! Bought it right away. Not a lot of extra morph's, not a lot of collectables, not a lot of achievements. Very refreshing to not have to worry about all the bling! Great games and really enjoyable game play. This game does not hold your hand throughout, however it does give you the info you need to proceed without help from the SG. Spoiler: I love the fact that interactive items are not highlighted. Way fun to figure out! Give it a try! July 16, 2015
HAD TO HAVE IT NOW !! I beta tested this game and just loved it. I didn't want it to end and couldn't wait for it to come out. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and replayed all the others in this series to prepare for it's release. I'm almost finished with Under The Crimson Moon, so will be ready to start this one tomorrow. I'll leave game description to those who do a much better job of detail. I will say, I've been watching for it's release and was so excited to see it finally out, that I hit the "buy button" without testing it again or taking any advantage of the great sale on the other CE games. :( Just put it in my cart and before I knew it I had hit the "buy" button. If you enjoyed the others in this series, you will definitely LOVE this one. I'm hoping what the description said about the bonus game doesn't mean it is the end of this series. That will be a sad day.. Definitely give this game a try. I tried to list it as my "current favorite game", but since it is "tomorrow's game release" I guess it isn't officially out yet and wouldn't allow me. THANK YOU ERS AND BFG FOR SUCH A GREAT GAME !! The Full Moon is Here ? Let the Excitement Begin Tracks of Terror is the 5th game in the Shadow Wolf Series. Although I loved the earlier games in the series, the later ones have been a disappointment. That being said, this new game seems to offer something different and at least seems a bit more interesting. You have been hired by the Count De Lupe who knows that there are those who wish to kill him and in the event that they succeed before his son comes of age, then he fears that not only his family but his entire city will be in danger. The Count continues on to implore you to care for his son until he comes of age should the Count meet his demise before you arrive. When you arrive in the city you find that the Count has been missing for several days so apparently the Count?s premonition of his imminent death was warranted. The game offers four modes of gameplay: Casual, Advanced, Hard and Custom. The custom mode that is my favorite offers the option of turning off sparkles, the tutorial and rapid click penalties as well as allowing us to set our preference for the hint and puzzle skip times. I am a huge fan of the Bunny team and think that their artists are awesome and create some of the most realistic characters in games today. I love the wonderful hand-drawn artwork that they create that brings each scene to life. Not only is the artwork wonderful but the graphics in general are very clear and sharp on my laptop. The voiceovers are lip-synced and they are excellent as is the entire soundtrack for the game. Of course, we will all recognize the signature music that is the hallmark of games from my much loved Bunny team. The tools that we have in the game are fairly standard and include an interactive transporter type map. We also have another tool, that when charged allows us to read memories and personally I don?t think that this particular item adds much to the game and I would be quite happy without it. It looks like we the pet helpers have been eliminated and replaced by various gimmicks that I find more annoying than having a pet help me out at times. There is a lot of variety in the HOPS. Some are those where we find a certain number of a specific item, and then there are the silhouette, interactive list, match pairs and other familiar types of HOPs. At least I like the variety where the HOPs are not all the same. Some of the puzzles in Tracks of Terror include those that I find difficult ? the ones that require us to move our mouse along a specific path. Those puzzles remind me of being a kid and trying to stay within the lines in my coloring books and I don?t think I am much better at that as an adult. Most of the other puzzles are not too difficult in the beginning of the game but as is the case in games from this team, they often increase in difficulty as we go through the game. There are some collectibles to be found and achievements to be earned. The CE version of the game also includes the standard extras such as the strategy guide and bonus chapter along with the regular fluff that can be found such as wallpapers, screen savers, and music. IMHO, there is very little extra content to warrant the CE label but with a great sale it would still be nice to have the CE. Tracks of Terror is, IMHO, better than the last game in the Shadow Wolf series and I found the storyline to be quite interesting. The game held my attention and that is a must for me if I am going to add a game to my collection. I love the Bunny team and am happy to see that it has made some changes and is presenting some games that have a wider appeal for many gamers. Although Tracks of Terror was an instant buy for me, as always, I recommend that you play the demo to see if this is a game you will enjoy. July 16, 2015
