Rated 5 out of 5 by from MINDHUNTERS-NOT THE SAME OLD SAME OLD Is the game enjoyable and challenging? Yes! Gotta figure out the next move, yet, it all makes sense after a while because gameplay is different. Yay! Starts with the opening scene--"Who's on the same frequency as I am?" Is true that the entire game isn't explained in the first minute which is good with me after playing predictable, boring and repetitious. If you're legally blonde and don't like the game, there's plenty with strategy guides so gamers can pretend they've won. Looks like "Beetlejuice" has come to life! :)) Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool game The game has a bit different style than most of the HOPA games, but creates the great atmosphere. There is not much talking or story explaining, but the puzzles are good and pretty challenging. Other things are more or less standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you like to exercise your brain then you will like this game! I found this game to be refreshing and different. I am one who likes to exercise my brain cells and not have to much hand holding in a game. If you are like me then I believe you will enjoy this game! There are some great logical puzzles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Drive-in I'm there whenever someone needs my car fixing skills :) The story tells us about a guy who gets sucked into what appears to be a horror movie. Although I "connected" the story, it could use some more explanations or dialogs. The whole drive-in setup is nice, and later in the game we can see some more familiar thriller/horror setups. The music is ok, at the moments sounding 80's-ish (which goes with the genre, I guess). There are some new elements in the gameplay (rotating HO scenes), but all in all, for the most part it is something we got used to. Some puzzles were hard to figure out, and a few items hard to spot, but nothing too frustrating, and there is a hint to help. As I said, some segments could be more polished, but the general vibe is positive, and I sure recommend this game. There are three game modes, casual, advanced and expert, and I'm sure I somewhere turned "car fixing mode" on ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! Loved this game .. Wow! I really liked this game .. and to boot, used a coupon to have so much fun and challenges. I saw a few reviews saying they don't recommend it ... please ignore those comments as this game is really long, excellent, hard at times and challenging! When I say this is challenging, it is not unachievable but patience and the desire to win is needed! I admit to skipping a couple of joystick games as I just don't like them, my reflexes are not good and I leave that sort of playing to young people. did try and gave up on a couple such as driving or the rocket ship. Nearly gave up on the parrot but actually won that one!! Whoohoo! This game is really good .. challenging, has a storyline and just when you think you have saved the 5 x people and think it now all will end, it doesn't ... just goes on and on and as I write this, it seems I still haven't finished! I buy and play all CE games and I wish they were as challenging and long as this one is! I tried not to use the HINT button but unfortunately, a couple of times, I just had to .. was so lost and frustrated! Gradually realised your cursor does not show all objects to find or actions to be done. So my advise is to click everywhere. Sure ... some objects on a screen are hard to find but not impossible and are there for you to find ... you only have a few screens to navigate so you know there is something there to allow you to continue ... patience, storyline and clicking everywhere will see you move on! This game also offers so many new HO puzzles, each HO object is put into a silloutte environment where you have to turn and rotate it ... awesome, loved it, never skipped one no matter how long it took! Not a lot of relying on HOPs rather looking around for what you need! So for me, loved this game! It is challenging, sure ... has some small objects to find but not in a HO challenge ... just need to move your cursor around. Also found with this game to click on everything as you will miss objects as the cursor doesn't change for a lot of items! Didn't need to use the hint or SKIP button for quite a while ... so proud of myself ... but eventually, had to. This game whilst described as a HO game, is not ... you have a few scenarios to find what you need ... and all too often, hidden well and when you finally have to use the HINT button, you get angry with yourself! I found this game awesome, challenging, loved the HO scenes where each item is a silloutte to be to be turned and organised ... loved that! Different puzzle games ... and as a lover of all CE games, thought I knew and was challenged by them all! But not in this game ... wonderful, new games and challenges, sometimes hard to work out even with the explanation button .. but felt good when I won or worked it out! So, in summary ... this is a great, fantastic, awesome, very long game, that will give you hours and hours of fun and challenges. Not easy at times ... but achievable. Sort of ... if you are like me, didn't enjoy the "driving" challenge or the "rocket" challenge, both played for hours but game up and the "parrot" challenge which I was about to SKIP but suddenly, I made it through! Those games are very fast and challenging but the SKIP button is there for you and quick or slow dependent on what challenge level you chose! To summarise .. this is an awesome game, long, challenging and to be honest, has taken me longer to finish and work out than all the expensive CE games I have bought ... which seem to be too easy and lots of "hand-holding" of late! This is challenging, rewarding and definitely no "hand holding" ,, you have to be smart, challenged to work it out! I personally loved this game ... love the challenges, how hard it was and the hours and days of play it offered. And I got if for a coupon! WoW! All this fun and it never cost me a penny! Do try it as I think you will be pleasantly surprised ... and if you have a coupon ... well, an absolute bonus! I definitely recommend this game, full of challenges, fun, lots of puzzle games, some hard, most challenging, graphics a bit "iffy" but with all the challenges, who cares how the monsters look like! Buy it .... you will not be sorry! I recommend this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This game might not be everybody's cup of tea but I loved it! It reminds me a bit of the old "Lost in the City" games, which I really enjoyed. While most games lately hold your hand, this one makes you work. You have to go in not knowing what the plot is, who are the bad guys, or whether you're part of the audience or the film...or both! I love B horror movies, and I like some challenge in my games, so this really works for me! I would say people should try it first though, as it may be a niche game!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So BAD it is ALMOST GOOD This is like one of those B movies that can become a camp classic for watching at midnight. I do not know if it is at all deliberately so but the number of disconnects in plot, and the whole plot itself is the sort of thing one could sit back with friends and perhaps liquid refreshment at hand and happily jeer. The ending is the most prime of all as without segue it turns into what might have been intended as a bonus chapter before giving up on making a CE of it, and well , how to not spoil it for you, someone pushes a button (the viewpoint character, the player?) and a vehicle begins to move. who is in the vehicle if not the one pushing the button? and why for that matter is this happening? The characters interaction is a hoot. The failed hint system, a guide is promised from the developer to be out as I write and it is needed, makes a real challenge to the players ingenuity and adds to the perverse fun. There is a new puzzle used many times and involving rotating a silhouette. I tired of it but after a few tries a skip option opens , well before the set skip option is loaded, and I used it. If I knew this were all deliberate and the devs had been using cheap vodka to fuel their imaginations I would give it five stars. Cant easily do that otherwise. Hesitated between three and four stars but reading my own review I opt for four. Enjoy if its for you, maybe you will know who you are.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Little Bit Of Fun ... Good Graphics, Sound, Animations, Effects & So On ... A Bit Of An Average Game That Almost Appears To Put Together By A Lone Individual At Home ... This Game Often Became Frustrating With It's Silhouette Puzzles ... A Bit Novel At First, But Then So Many Through The Game I Was Tempted To Give Up ... That Aside, There Were Some Nice Locations And I Really Wanted To Finish The Game ... Just As I Thought The Game Was Over I Had More To Explore ... Not Bad For A Basic Game, And Well Worth A Voucher ...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waste of time & pc space This has the worst instructions on mini games I've ever come across. They really add confusion to them. There's no way of changing the mode such as easy, normal, hard & custom. I will be removing this game from my pc asap. Don't waste your time or money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Er...did anyone find a plot? Showing Tonight: Mindhunters Incident Review based on 32 minutes of demo PROLOGUE... This game had such mixed reviews—lots of five-stars and lots of one-star, but hardly any in the middle—that I had to try it for myself. I’m sorry to say that I’m with the group that don’t recommend it. Here’s why… ONCE UPON A TIME... You fall asleep while watching your favorite movie, which you’ve seen multiple times. When you awaken, you’re in the movie. Oddly, the heroine tells you that the movie crew is missing. Simultaneously, she says the villains/monsters in the movie plot are coming to get you both, and you have to save the say. So, she’s apparently aware that she’s merely a character in a movie, but at the same time, she believes the movie plot is real. That’s where the story development ends, and you’re left to wander aimlessly in a plotless game. PLAY THE GAME... I found both traditional list HO scenes, which were interactive but not marked as such, and a new type of silhouette HO scene. Basically, you find the silhouetted item in the scene, then must use three-dimensional rotational arrows to fit the item into its silhouette. I did enjoy this, except for the fact that after the fifth or so click, I always got a pop-up box asking me if I wanted to skip it, which I found irritating. For the most part, the mini-games either lack clear instructions or the clues were unintelligible. In one, you had to plug both ends of four colored ignition cables into the correct spots…with no clues as to how this was supposed to be done. I wasn’t at all interested in going about it randomly. In another, you had to punch the correct number into a telephone keypad, but the given clue wasn’t really a clue. I tried about a dozen likely combinations based on the clue without success. Adventure mode consisted of collecting items to fix or complete broken and incomplete things. Meanwhile, the heroine disappeared and was neither an assistant nor a source of information. SIGHTSEEING... The graphics are about five years ago…not horrid, but nothing to write home about. The animation is a bit stuttering, but the use of texture is lovely. SOUNDBOARD... The music wasn’t bad, kind of cinematic in nature. Voiceovers were minimal, but decent. Environmental sounds could have been better. TOOLBOX... No plus items in the inventory. You have a tablet that acts as a journal; it notes objectives, clues, and such. OH BOTHER! Navigation is strange, with hotspots to new areas being in unusual places on the screen. The inventory bar does not lock, and frequently pops up unintentionally when you attempt to return to a previous area. Annoying. To close pop-up boxes, you have to click on the “x.” Also annoying. If you like adventure games, you won’t mind this part, but even in casual mode, there are not hotspots in places you have something to do. I missed several spots on each screen my first time through. Additionally, some spots are mislabeled. I was told that the antenna on the roof of the airstream needed ignition cables when, obviously, the car needed them. EPILOGUE... Since I quit halfway through the demo, I’m obviously not going to recommend this game. There were just too many things about the gameplay and interface that irritated me. And the basic storyline required a suspension of disbelief that exceeded mine, as well as lacking development beyond the first few minutes. Lastly, the mini-games lacking clear instructions and clues…well, why bother?
