Solitaire Beach Season Another great Solitaire game to play September 9, 2015
Another matching game, not really a card game. This game is one where you just match cards by rank. As with Pirate Solitaire and Pirate Solitaire 2, you match two cards, like two threes or two sixes, in order to remove them. I said it was "mildly amusing" when I reviewed Pirate Solitaire recently. This is the third such offering in about a month. There are bonus points for some cards. There is also a "do over," button, but don't use it too soon! This one has kind of cool music. It reminded me of some 50's songs, sort of, but arranged for elevators. Four stars for the music. I gave the first Pirate Solitaire four stars, but I found that I got bored more quickly this time. If you haven't bought one of these games, pick this one for the music. If you already bought Pirate Solitaire, I'm not sure this will add anything to your game collection. September 8, 2015
I thought it was Solitaire not match 2 I was looking forward to trying a new Solitaire game. I just finished 300 levels of Avalon Legends 2. Wonderful and 300 levels to rebuild Camelot. This is not even close. It's match 2 of the same cards at a time. I was hoping to like it but uninstalled it after only 2-3 levels. BORING! September 8, 2015
A HO-HUM SOLITAIRE THAT I WOULDN'T TAKE TO THE BEACH It seems like this is another BFG game that has been locked in their vault for the last decade. The game offers only one type of solitaire that is boring and repetitive. Essentially, we are required to find pairs of cards regardless of suit and remove them from the deck. If we can do this before the deck refreshes then we earn the top prize. Yippee! What is wrong with this game? Well, for starters the game does not support automatic widescreen nor could I get rid of the bars on each side - no widescreen equals an automatic no sale for me. Along with being washed out, the graphics are flat and cartoonish. Given the level of technical acumen, it looks like a ten-year old could have put this game together as a school project. The sound does nothing to enhance the game and after about five minutes I had to turn the music off as it was so annoying. There are some tools that you can purchase after you earn enough coins as you play through the levels. The tools include a Mulligan, Shuffle, and Joker but unfortunately I couldn?t last long enough in the game to purchase additional tools. For those of you who are major solitaire addicts, you might find Solitaire Beach Season to your liking, as for me, I am off to play a top-rated solitaire game that is actually fun. September 8, 2015
Same game, new theme This developer floods BFG with the same game over and over again. They only change the theme, but the boring game (match same card value like a kids version of Mahjongg) stays the same. Graphics are ok, music is boring. There are at least 20-30 better solitaire games available on BFG. January 4, 2016
try again fish what a poor game, not for my money - - please fisk, why can you bring a good an total nice game? September 8, 2015
How Is It Possible To Make Solitaire This Boring? Normally, I love solitaire games and can't get enough of 'em. Two of my favorites are The Chronicles of Emerland and Seven Seas Solitaire. Take my word on it, this game isn't even in the same ballpark! I'm probably not giving this game a fair assessment because my least favorite type of solitaire is this type where you match two cards of the same value. To me, this game qualifies as a Mahjong game with cards instead of tiles. There's just nothing special going on here folks, it's boring! You can choose from 9 Tropical themed card decks and 3 different types of face cards, and you have no choice but to start the game with a tutorial (at that point you can click on the X to skip the tutorial) in the Tourist mode which allows you to replay any of the 10 levels in a deck as often as you'd like. You can then switch over to the Traveler mode if desired which only allows you to replay the entire 10 level deck, but there's no mention as to whether this mode is more difficult or not. In the case of a perfect score, the points of the current level will be added to the points of the next level similar to bowling. There aren't many other features, there is an Undo icon, a Mulligan icon and an icon that holds your Jokers at the bottom of the screen. These icons however will have to be purchased with the points you earn playing the game, unless of course you uncover special cards with a star on them. Cards with stars have bonus coins, Mulligan's (undos) Jokers (wild cards) and Shuffles (shuffles the cards and re-deals new ones) The goal of each level is to remove the Gold cards from the board which will give you the maximum amount of points, even if other cards remain on the board. I just didn't like this game in the least bit, nothing about it was interesting or fun, in fact I hated the music which is repetitive and annoying. If I wanted to play mahjong I would have downloaded a game from that genre, however, give my a decent High/Low Solitaire game and I'll be a happy camper. September 8, 2015
Same Game, Different Theme Even though the graphics are clear and bright and the music is tolerable, this game is exactly the same as the two previous pirate solitaire games offered here on this site. How uninspired this game developer is! They produce one solitaire game and then simply change the themes. Game play, upgrades and instructions are exactly the same for each game. And what may I ask does finding pairs have to do with solitaire? If you've played the previous pirate solitaire games, then there's no sense bothering with this one. September 8, 2015
