Cute! You are the Old West's Robin Hood blowing up the Robber Baron's safe. You drag a gunpowder train from a safe through a maze of piggy banks to a campfire. Then the fire follows the gunpowder trail back to the safe, and you get all the money after all the explosions. There is a timer, but you don't lose if you go over the time. It just tells you that your time did not meet the target. This might change later, I don't know. I played the first 8 levels and the cute complications were already setting in, like jumping over a creek. I wanted to play more but, unfortunately, my elderly elbow would not allow it. Too much click and drag. I fully intend to buy this for iPad if it comes out. Try it. It's really fun. February 29, 2016
Gunpowder And Lead What an unusual game this turned out to be! The goal is simple, draw a line of gunpowder from the fire to the safe to blow it up and reap the rewards. Kegs are bombs and the fire will ignite the kegs, each level has 3 Grimshaw Piggy Banks that will give you extra points if you figure out a way to include them in your explosions. The game moves quickly, as soon as you begin to draw the gunpowder line from the fire, the fire will begin to inch it's way up the line, so once you start, keep going. (don't worry, you can restart the level as often as you want) There is a powderbar at the top of the screen that shows how much gunpowder you have remaining, left clicking will lay the gunpowder and right clicking will erase the powder with a broom, or you can click on the icon's themselves. Some levels require you to place limited amounts of kegs before drawing gunpowder lines, and each keg will show the radius of the explosion it covers, there is also an icon at the top of the screen that will show the radius for all of the kegs. As you progress, the obstacles become increasingly more difficult, especially when trying to figure out ways to incorporate all three piggy banks, such as jumping rivers and avoiding rocks that will put out the flame. Your score is tallied up with the amount of piggy banks you blew up, 1-3, and it shows the level estimated time goal vs. your score. This is the perfect game for relaxation with just a touch of adrenalin, enjoy! March 1, 2016
Fun puzzle game In Gunpowder, you're a Western version of Robin Hood. Your job is to ignite gunpowder to blow up kegs and get the contents of the bank safe. There are rivers to jump and mountains to negotiate, with kegs acting as 'bombs' to keep the gunpowder lit. I liked this game because it's just fun to blow up stuff. Plus, the physics and the simple storyline are both well-done. February 29, 2016
What Fun!! What could be more fun in a game than blowing things up? It doesn't take long for the levels to get harder and more challenging (goodness knows what the last ones will be like!). I loved this game - it's great to get something a bit different (bit??) from the usual daily offerings of gloomy, creepy hidden object games. February 29, 2016
Fun for everyone The main aim being to blow up the bad guys safe, and the piggies on the way, by use of trails of gunpowder and kegs of gunpowder. First stage is a little repetitive, however hang in there, it gets better. You may need the practice for later levels. Don't forget to get the trophies along the way (look for the shadow of a trophy to the right of the piggies in the top right corner). Uniquely different puzzle game. Gets you thinking. April 25, 2016
Good Puzzle Game, But Requires a Fit Arm! This is a decent puzzle game with a good premise, and great graphics and sound. However, by level 11 the difficulty was rising substantially, and I feel that some people would find it just too complicated to be enjoyable. Being of an older age group, I, along with another reviewer, found the considerable arm and wrist movement required, to be not to my liking. There is a lot of dragging of the mouse. Some players will like this game, and I think it would suit the younger generation better, but it's not for me. March 1, 2016
Fun For Guys of All Ages I'm not one for cartoonish games, but I tried this one because I DO like a good challenging puzzle game. And while Gunpowder was enjoyable and amusing at first, it quickly got dull and I lost interest. I felt like I was watching a cartoon as I plotted my moves and made things blow up. The explosions & sound effects were cool at first, but I soon got tired of listening to them. The story line is rather non-existent which to me, says this game is more for children or teens. I'm recommending the game because I know there are those who live for this kind of stuff -- war games, battle strategy etc. But as for me, an adult woman, I'll pass and mosey onward. This game certainly doesn't bang! Fun for about 5 minutes (though I played for less than that). The aim was to draw a line of gunpowder (hence the game title), from one end of the screen to another. There were ?lines in the sand? to follow and passing through pigs and kegs gave you more points. There was a cartoonesque strip story as a backdrop (this neither enhanced or detracted from the overall gameplay). The problem I had was that on the second (yes I got that far!) puzzle screen even though I tried to avoid the safe (this then ended the level), to try and pick up all the pigs and kegs, it was too sensitive. As you go through the game levels there is more in-depth puzzles to solve and at the beginning of the levels there is pictorial information detailing what you need to do to complete each of the puzzles. The puzzles did change and you had to think a bit more to complete them. At the end of the day though it was the same thing that needed to be done on each puzzle. Ignite and blast, Ignite and blast. Yes, there were variations on the theme but it was still the same theme time and time again. I lasted around 7 levels and whilst there was a little bit of thought etc, there was no way I wanted to continue the free trial let alone contemplate using any kind of codes to purchase the game. If you need practise in controlling a mouse for accuracy and you have a passing interest in blowing things up, then this may be worth a download. I would however not recommend using any form of payment (free or otherwise) to purchase the game. February 29, 2016
