Lost Bounty: A Pirate's Quest is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun concept, fun game Pirates and treasure are always popular, so it's no surprise that a match 3 game uses this theme. I gave this a 5-star rating for several reasons. The pirate is a woman, the story is light-hearted, the drawings are well-done, and (most importantly) the game play was relaxing, with just enough variety to keep it interesting. I played the demo in one sitting, then immediately bought the game. I played in relaxed mode, no sound (so I can't comment on sound or music quality). I liked how colorful the tiles were, especially the drawings of the parrots and sea turtles. Finally, I'm an avid reader, so it was a plus that the story was both written as text (not as a comic or movie dialog) and fun to read. I'm sure there are players who would find this boring, but I liked it. My only criticism is that using points to 'purchase' power-ups seemed unnecessary. There was no choice in which power-ups to get, so why go through the process of 'purchasing' them?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't waste your gold! As others have said, this is a nice relaxing fun game. I like the colourful tiles and the storyline. However there is not much challenge (especially for those of us who battled through Cradle of Rome to reach Olympia!). That's OK, it's a great pastime. My regret is that when I started out I used the gold I earned to buy power-ups. They are not needed and just get in the way of playing and any hope you might have of planning a strategy. I really wish there was a means of trading them in or at least burying them in the sand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i loved this game!!!! it wasn't that hard to play and it was easy to power up the bonueses by matching the items. it is the storyline that got me. i kept playing because i wanted to see what was going to happen and the more i got into the game the more involved i got. i even had to finish it so i could go to sleep and couldn't stop until i finished it! it did end by setting up a scenario for aw sequel.......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Relaxing Time You can play this game either as timed or as relaxed. I'm playing it as relaxed. I usually do that when I play the demo so I can get an idea of the game without the extra stress of the timer. The game thus far is rather easy especially in relaxed mode. Sometimes though easy is kind of, well, relaxing for a change. The graphics are very colorful and the boards are easy to see the differences between the tiles. The only thing that's annoying is that there is a lot of story between every level. It's all written too. I wish someone spoke the story. You can click on Start and skip the story but then you, uh, miss the story. I'm at the end of the 60 minutes and I'm buying the game. I don't need my brain to fry with every game. Gentle and colorful is nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice match 3 This is a nice little match 3 game that is lighthearted and mildly fun. Not too much of a challenge but I played in relaxed mode and timed might be more aggressive. The bonuses as far as destroying squares are fairly helpful if you remember they are available, which I don't. This is one of very few match 3 games that I played the complete demo probably because I wanted to see what I could build next. If you like match 3's, you'll like this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice, bright M3. Demo only. Graphics, & colours are good. The tiles are bigger, than in M3's I usually play. Nice, & colourful, though. There are dialogue pages. which can be skipped straight away. Don't use audio, so can't comment. The game moves quite fast, which is spot on. The game may get more challenging, the further into the game you get. What spoiled the game, was, too many bombs, dynamite, etc., appearing all at once. I like to play a game, & use explosives, when stuck. There's no choice in this game. With so many, the game can't flow, & explosives just about clear the board. Shame really.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy, Colorful Game 80 easy levels of play. The graphics are very nice. The bigger your score the more gold you get to purchase various buildings. The story keeps you going to see what will happen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple but Enjoyable If you're looking for a game with a lot of bells and whistles, this probably isn't for you. If you don't like reading this isn't for you. There's a lot of reading here, However if you want just a nice simple game, where the relaxed setting, really does mean relaxed, the story is interesting, and the background music is unobtrusive, and there are other kind of neat sound effects, give this a try.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What Be Yerr Name Pirate? Arrr, tis a pirate themed Match 3 game mates. Captain Anne Rackham and her crew have just anchored her ship, Harpie's Song, safely in the harbor of Skull Island, but is the island and treasure buried there cursed? The story is really interesting, (though similar to Seven Seas Solitaire) but the Match 3 game itself lacks a "wow" factor, and has nothing new to offer. The tiles are all pirate themed with pirate hats and boots, telescopes, compases, ships wheels, shells and even macaw parrots, arrrr! There are the usual obstacles to overcome, tiles covered with sand, stone, crates etc. and as you progress, the obstacles require two or three matches to remove them. Each level requires you to make a specific number of matches of specific tiles, as shown at the top of the screen. Gold coins will appear randomly, that need to be clicked on to collect before they disappear forever. The collected coins allow yo to unlock Bonuses in the Cove such as: -The Ships Hull which unlocks the Mine Booster -Cannons which shoots cannonballs at the selected target. -Junior Alchemist lab which unlocks dynamite. -Gunpowder which unlocks the TNT Barrel. -Tool Shop which unlocks the Shovel. -Junior Blacksmith which forges pointy daggers. -Single Sail which increases the amount of Gold you find. -Junior Blacksmith which unlocks Pistols. The tiles are really large and not very colorful, you can choose Timed or Relaxed modes, and when the score is tallied, it tells you the number of Match 3,4's and 5's you made as a total. I really like the storyline, I just wish the Match 3 game itself was more exciting, enjoy!
