Big Fish Editor's Choice! This title was chosen for its high standard of quality and amazingly positive reviews from our Game Club beta testers.

In the tenth game in the series, Elephant Games gives you an exciting story about a masked villain who takes on the whole Mystery Trackers organization. A mystery man calling himself the Paxton Creek Avenger has terrorized a theater full of people. He's kidnapped your commander's daughter, and you've got to stop him! Luckily, you've got faithful Elf by your side, as well as an unknown ally. With their help and the use of a special thermal scanning device, track down the Avenger and find out what he has against the Mystery Trackers. Solve a variety of mini-games, including Match-3 and Rube Goldberg-style super puzzles. Search for clues in listed, silhouette, and interactive hidden-object puzzles.

See what our Beta testers had to say:

“Absolutely loved this..fast paced, charged, fun game that had me running from room to room to save the girl..and the ending of the demo..BOOM! :)”  - Darcel, beta tester

“I would rate this game at the top of its class from a developer not being satisfied to remain happy with the usual expectations of this genre. The mini-games may look the same but have interesting twists. The HOPs are challenging and multi-layered but not frustrating to the point that achievements cannot be reached. The artwork is gorgeous and the voices are wonderful and in synch. And, the greatest thing...the whole story wasn't given away in the first chapter.”  - Paul, beta tester

Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avenger Collector's Edition is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review of a finished game The CE version is always an extra bit of fun, finding photo pieces, morphing objects, achievements, etc. You also get a electrical device in the lower left corner to find electric pulses. In the upper right hand corner, it will tell you how many to find. This game loads fast. The music starts when something is about to happen. Very nice game to play. enjoy...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FAN OF MYSTERY TRACKERS AND ELF! Always a comfortable and smooth feel with the Mystery Trackers games overall. Paxton Creek Avenger brings the same superior MT quality in every aspect--collectibles, puzzles, objects, cut-scenes, storyline, artwork, music and, of course ELF. I love the little guy always there to lend a helping hand. Please don't ever retire him! You are handed a mission of the utmost importance as the chief's daughter has been kidnapped. No pressure here! With the rest of the Mystery Trackers on the way and never seem to get there, your skill and prowess must thwart the villainous villain. Enjoy! -Mama Mia-

Rated 5 out of 5 by from another great installmant there is a custom level and an interactive map. some of the other trackers have been captured and you are sent to find and free them and to be sure that they are not harmed. the HO scenes are lists, and silhouettes and others. i didn't like this one as well as some of the others and i only got the CE version because of a deal. wouldn't have been worth paying extra in the regular price to get it. sequel.......always has been

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second great game I've played in just the last few days. After a run of not so good games, the last two I've played have been a welcome relief. As always Mystery Trackers, by Elephant games series was up to usual standards. Great everything. No complaints. Please keep them coming like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fun! I've played all of the Mystery Tracker games and loved them all. This was no exception. Great graphics. Great sound. Great fun! My only complaint is.....it's too short! Even with the bonus game it was very very short. Still worth playing though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BRAVO FOR THIS 10TH INSTALLEMENT I LOVED IT!!! Elephant Games' Mystery Trackers has always been a hidden-object adventure series that's near and dear to my heart. In Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avenger, the villain comes with his own bishi-sparkles, so you know it's going to be at least a little pleasantly crazy. Turns out he's upset at you, or at least your organisation, and as he believes the Mystery Trackers have gone about unpoliced for too long, he's abducted the leader's daughter... well, I mean, what else did you expect a Phantom of the Opera knock-off bad guy to do? Much less one uses "rascals" as a vicious insult and who sounds like he's two steps away from shouting "TUNNEL SNAKES RULE" before vanishing into the night. Solve puzzles, use powerful theater spotlight bulbs in puny handheld flashlights, and complete hidden-object scenes as you track the so-called Avenger to foil his doubtless dastardly plot! Mystery Trackers: Paxton Creek Avenger Like most present-day hidden-object adventures, allows you to customise your own difficulty setting to make things as easy or hard as you please, at least as far as allowing hints and skips and the like goes, and comes with a helpful interactive map that will show you where you are, where you still have something you can do, and let you travel anywhere with a click. Some puzzles, though sadly not all, have both casual and hard settings, which is a nice touch, and of course you've got your trusty yap-yap dog Elf to help you reach certain items. The game is, in other words, pretty standard when it comes to its gameplay, though fans of the genre will find it has a nice variety to its puzzles and manages to space its hidden-object scenes out quite well. On the whole, it's also hard to fault the game's presentation. The artwork is fantastic, it animates well, and the series still has some of the best voice acting around. The game is, however, perplexingly silent for long stretches of time apart from sound effects, mostly due to the fact that its musical pieces don't loop, which is a weird choice for a game with a musical theme and one that frankly makes it feel a little blander as a result. It doesn't help that the game is also extremely aggressive with its backtracking, sending you back and forth and back and forth, over and over, within relatively small areas all the time. But while it might not be the strongest entry in the series, Paxton Creek Avenger is still a Mystery Trackers game, and that means you can expect a degree of high quality that makes it pretty darn enjoyable. It's not quite as story-driven as some installments in the series, with most of the game being devoted to simply chasing the Avenger from place to place like an Adam West Batman villain, though it's not without its share of cheerfully campy twists and a thrilling sequence or two. The game picks up a bit once you finally manage to get out of the opera house and start following the villain to different locations, thankfully abandoning the whole "damsel who doesn't even have a name in distress" plotline in favour of exploring more places related to the Mystery Trackers themselves, which means a lot of fun secret-agent style activities and mechanisms. Regardless of the difficulty setting, it's still a little on the short side, and probably won't take most players longer than a few hours to speed through, though the bonus chapter in the Collector's Edition represents a nice chunk of extra gameplay. If you're looking for a hidden-object adventure with a sense of flair that will provide a thriller plot without a ton of violence and gore, this latest edition will keep you satisfied with its flamboyant style, and tiny helper animals dressed in itty-bitty tuxedos. Which, really, is all I ever want from a hidden-object adventure game these days anyway. I highly recommend this game!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Personally, I like Elf It took just 59 minutes to complete the easiest level of this demonstration. I have most of the Mystery Tracker games, and this one ranks high in my estimation, as far as I can tell from the trial game. The puzzles in this game were fairly easy and even the Rube Goldberg-type puzzle was simple (I usually have trouble with this type). The graphics were excellent for my old eyes and the audio was fine. I like the dog, Elf, who is obviously a Chihuahua, because he does not talk, unlike some of the helpers in other games. He is just a dog. As a matter of fact, the hint button is a frog who is wearing a tuxedo and glasses, and I find him more unlikeable than Elf! The hidden object scenes are clear and the storyline makes more sense than many other games. I hope this series continues, because there is always someone who hasn't played any of the games and he or she might enjoy the characters. Try this for yourself.
