After their splendid wedding Jill and Mike are widely recognized gardening superstars. When they are approached by the TV network to do a reality show about their work, they do not hesitate and jump right into it. It seems like a great opportunity for the couple, as they are expecting a baby! However, a career in television might not be as pleasant as it may seem... and certainly more dangerous.

Gardens Inc. 4: Blooming Stars Collector's Edition is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful TM Gams And Great Storyline Too! Okay, I have to admit that I am only on Level 20 or so, but I am LOVING this game. The graphics and sounds are great, the storyline is intriguing, and the little "baby room" bonus is almost an afterthought, but still fun. I am playing the first time through on untimed because I enjoy it more than the stress of trying to win before I know the "interface", but it is a load of fun. Things change between levels allowing you to modify what resources you need or want, and you can frequently switch them back as needed. In short - it is just a lot of fun, and on the untimed levels at least, relaxing and enjoyable. I hope you like it too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Winner Another very good strategy game in this series! This time it is a lot easier to buy all the upgrades for the baby room. I love that they have added a relaxed playing mode, as it is such a good way to learn the game and I don't always want the time-stress in the game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoyable This is a great game. It has enough variety and it doesn't matter whether I'm in the mood for a big challenge or just to pass the time, I can enjoy it either way. However, being Australian I think it's a bit strange in the bonus that one of the animals in the water is piranha! With all the dangerous animals we have in Australia, they imported one from South America that we don't have. :-) Nevertheless, a fun game and worth buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent excellent excellent I love everything about this game, i have played all the games in this series and this one in my opinion is by far the best! excellent graphics, excellent level of challenge too. Earning enough money to decorate the baby's room is slightly challenging as some upgrades are a little expensive. But the whole cuteness of the story of waiting for the pending baby's arrival makes it worth while. overall a highly fun filled game that i just couldn't stop playing. can't wait for the next installment

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Next instalment in the gardening 'soap opera' Whilst comparisons to this game with the ‘Emily Delicious’ games can be made in that both involve couples who are ‘making it in the world’ and doing the various ‘life stages’ together, I prefer this series. The first reason is that this series is not as dialogue heavy and the stories are good and compelling as there is a ‘back-drop’ to the stories (in all of the episodes), rather than just the minutiae of daily life. This to me adds to the overall gameplay. It makes me want to complete each of the levels because I then wanted to listen/read the next instalment of the story. In the main TM games don’t normally have a story or if they do it is more ‘fantasy based’ rather than ‘true to life’. This game however is ‘true to life’, in that it is people who are in a way ‘three dimensional’ (yes I know it is a game, but the characters are well-voiced and have ‘meat to the bone’ as it were) and have good inter-dialogue between all the characters. All the characters are as important to the story-line as one another. This as I say is the first TM series that I have been really interested in the story-line and I feel that the storyline has not just been ‘clubbed together’ by the developers and real thought has gone into it. I admit if it just ‘stopped’ as it were as man/woman/wedding/baby storyline then I may have skipped it but this had as I say an extra dimension which to me really made the game. The game itself is akin to the others in the series, but because of the storyline (did I mention how good I thought that was), then you don’t mind (well at least I didn’t) doing the ‘day-job’ as it were. The VO and the dialogue were clear and not rushed (as in some games where your reading speed needs to be akin to that of a speed-reader, which to be detracts from the overall game as you feel like you are missing something. The controls were as to be expected for this type of game, the only thing I would have liked was for the cursor to be something connected with the game (a spade or fork or something), as to have the ‘bog-standard’ cursor when playing a game isn’t to me then a truly immersive game. Apart from the one slight ‘cursor quibble’ though, I can’t fault this game at all and would recommend this game to all who enjoy TM games. I would though if this instalment would be your first foray in to the series purchase the others (either using a code etc) as this would then build up the story as it were to get to where you are in this instalment (also there are characters that appear in this instalment that have cropped up before, so it would be (in my opinion) a good idea to purchase the others).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gardens raises the bar again The Gardens series is among the very best in this game genre and the latest surpassed my expectations. If you've played one of the earlier game this one is similar enough to the others to feel completely comfortable diving in without the tutorial but different enough to feel like a whole new game. The graphics and sound are appealing and well done. The story is very clever and cute with return appearances of many favorite characters from previous episodes and fun new characters too. Game play can be relaxed with no timer or fast-paced at expert level. I played the entire game on the middle setting and then immediately went back to play it all again in expert mode. The great beat the developer feature is back and if you win in gold with enough time and resource bonuses you are rewarded by the announcement that the developer's top score was beaten. The game also keeps track of your scores so you can replay a level to beat your old score. Several new features have been introduced including moles that pop up randomly that you get extra points for catching, expert animal catchers, resource delivery sheds, and new modes of getting your characters to the tasks. Garden defense levels are also new and allow you to play as a police officer or animal catcher to defend the garden against hordes of wolves, scorpions, and criminals set on getting into your flower beds. Winning in gold depends on catching them all before they carry out their nefarious intentions. Some of my less favorite features from previous games including criminals that kicked your plants to pieces and ghosts that kept your workers cooped up in their truck have been left out of this game and I was really happy about that. Also gone is the concept of cash as a resource that you need to pay workers to do tasks which was also pleasing. Overall this is a great addition to the Gardens series. The developers always change the game enough that it's worth buying the new one and this one is no different. Excellent fun and excellent replayability make this game a great value. When I came to the end of the main game I was very glad I had purchased the Collector's Edition because I wasn't ready for it to end. The bonus level in Australia was really fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorite time management games. This is a time management game, and it is one of the best. There are a lot of different levels that change requirements needed to pass to the next level. The shacks allow you to change resources as needed. Try to remember this or you won't get enough of the resource needed to win. This game really keeps you on your toes. I love the story line. I can't wait to see how the new baby fits into this game, maybe we'll have some mud pies to play with. Great game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best One Yet I hadn't played the Garden Inc. games in awhile, but this one will bring me back to the fold! In some of the earlier games I got stuck and ended up not even finishing the games. This has an option for a relaxed mode and that is just right for me. I personally loved decorating the room with the cash I earned for doing the shows. Also loved the little twists thrown into the plot. Because it is CE I will probably wait for a really good sale to get it. It is definitely on my list.
