Punished Talents: Stolen Awards Collector's Edition 3.6 5 25 25
This game was fun, combining Science with a Murder Mystery!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the casual gameplay of Punished Talents 2: Stolen Awards. The story of this game immediately puts you in the 12-little-indians mode (at least in my imagination). You play as one of the scientists who gathered together to compete for one of the most honorable awards in the scientific world, Pride of Humanity. Things get more interesting when one of you gets ill and you get stuck in the castle cut off from the outside world. The castle is a great place for some HOPA fun. You will have to use all of the knowledge that you have to find the potential murderer. There is a bonus game where you get to catch a madman on a train (another great mini-plot). The game's characters are one of the essential parts of such stories. And these scientists are no disappointment. Some of them are more eccentric than other. The game features some real actors for their characters too with excellent voice acting. The graphics are your typical HOPA scenes with a lot of items hidden and scattered for you explore. Another fun part of the game is the profiles of some of the scientific inventions. You unlock those with the morphing objects. This is where entertainment meets education for adults and kids. The media extras, music, concept art, wallpaper, are yours at the end of the game. The game provides you with a strategy guide to make your way through the game and not miss anything. There are four modes to choose from: Casual, Advanced, Hardcore, and Custom. "I'm really enjoying Custom these days". The puzzles come in different shape and form as well as difficulty level. Most of them are science-themed and are not very hard. They seem to outnumber the hidden object scenes. The collectibles and the achievements add more challenge and allow you more time in the game. I finished this CE in a little over 5 hours and I recommend it for gamers of every level of play. March 8, 2016
Excellent hoodunit Love the mystery/hoodunit aspect. Not sure what game some of the other people played, but their critiques do not seem to match the game I played. If you like a murder mystery in a remote castle setting, definitely the game for you. March 7, 2016
Fantastic Game.!!!! Long game love that hidden objects love them for giving me what I want. The graphs just beautiful story line nice. This game beats so many others that get five stars. Give me more of the same. March 7, 2016
Finally after months a game I LOVED! I really really enjoyed the heck out of this game! I don't normally buy the CE but I had demoed this game months ago and couldn't wait for it to come out. When it finally did a few days later BF gave us members a sale I couldn't refuse, so lucky me I got this game with all the bells and whistles! It was a bit on the easier side which is something I like I want to play the games but I don't want to have to do to many short jerky movements because that kills my fibro. and I don't want to rack my brains out either. I liked the sciencey-ness of the game since I am a big science, math geek. I liked the flow of the game, I liked meeting new people and performing new tasks in different areas, instead of one long endless mindless find this put it here blah blah. The graphics were nice colors were perfect and normal not overdone like many of the newer games, the scenes were gorgeous with so much attention detail. I'm not a wordsmith so it's hard for me to fully put into words why I like or don't like a game. It's just a feeling you get when you start playing and you find you are just moving along and don't want to stop, because you realize you are really having a good time! That was this game for me! Now if they would just release the New York Mysteries game I beta tested months ago I'd be a real happy camper!! I highly recommend this game. March 19, 2016
Best game ever! This must be one of the best games of its kind I have ever played. The story line was excellent. Graphics were exceptional. There was puzzle after puzzle and the pace of the game was good. Thoroughly enjoyable! March 8, 2016
I liked this game. It's the best part from Punished Talents. Interesting storyline, beautiful video and exelent ambience. I completed this game yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Of course i recommend the game. March 7, 2016
Punished Talents: Stolen Awards Collector's Edition Love this game. It's entertaining and keeps a player's interest from beginning to end. March 7, 2016
The Doctor is In A murderous lunatic is killing off ten scientists one by one, Agatha Christie-style. It's your job to help your colleagues, since you're a doctor and all, while you do your best to unravel clues to the murderer's identity. All this happens in an old castle / hotel that's cut off during a terrible storm. Although the graphics aren't world class (I had to laugh at the cutscene of the man skipping away from the astronomy area! He looked like he was playing hopscotch) I really enjoyed the medical shenanigans and real-time puzzles such as giving CPR and walking a tightrope. Plus, can you say morphing objects? There are great interactive HOS, and the settings are fun to explore. Although this won't make my Desert Island list, if you like medical mysteries don't overlook this little gem. April 8, 2016
A good game for beginners This review is based on the trial game. I am not an expert player, so maybe my expectations are different from those who are experts. I found this game entertaining (as entertaining as it could be, considering the fact that the protagonist is trying to stop murders). I, too, am a fan of Agatha Christie, although I read her mysteries many years ago, and I found them dated even in the sixties. This game has the usual hidden object scenes, with a few morphing items thrown into them. I don't understand the complaints about blurry images, because the graphics are very good. Regarding the questions about the electricity going off and on, that happens in real life. By the way, how is that a problem when needed articles are strewn all over the castle, rusted suits of armor open at a few drops of oil, jewels and ancient "magic" weapons are lying around, etc? This is a game and it bears little resemblance to reality. It's escapism, people. Not all of us want to spend a lot of precious time trying to figure out a really difficult puzzle. I say, if you are a beginning player or someone who just wants a short diversion, try this game. Who knows, you might enjoy it. March 6, 2016
Did I play a different game than some of the others! Based on demo. Hmm..well yes I immediately got the "Ten Little Indians" part but thought it was amusing- not a problem. I love mysteries and enjoyed delving into this one. On my computer the graphics were very good and clear. I did not have an issue with fuzziness. And yes I loved being able to click away the conversation instead of having to wait for the character to stop. I thought there were some interesting different HO scenes, especially the morphing one and the crystals. Sound was fine. I did think that maybe it was a little on the easy side but that can be a plus when you are tired and just playing for fun. The pace was fast to me maybe because you were always having to save someone. And yes, the power was on in some places after being knocked out but this is just a game-maybe they had some strategically placed generators. I guess I am just able to suspend belief, raise an eye brow, and keep going. Now I am curious to see who and why and solve the mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and suggest you try out the demo for yourself before deciding. March 6, 2016
