I WANT TO LIVE IN HAVANA REVIEW OF COMPLETED GAME, BONUS AND EXTRAS This is an enjoyable game which kept me busy the whole time. The main game is about your brother Ernesto and the Bonus is about your impeding marriage. There is: * Voiceovers (with dialogue); * Novice, Artist, Virtuoso and Improviser modes of play; * Interactive map; * Find 40 Diamonds in Game and Bonus; * 10 Achievements (some having 3 each to fill). The graphics are superb - very clear and crisp. The characters are well defined and life-like. Sound is good. The music is gorgeous with lots of trumpets and singing. The hidden object games are putting items back, straightforward, matching pairs, etc. These were easy to do and don't take long. There is also one morphing object to find in each HOP as well, which always has a good challenge to them. The mini-games were predominately pretty easy, except for the trumpet notes and the car mini-games. Those ones took me ages. Finding the 40 diamonds in the game and bonus was very easy. However, if you want to find them altogether later or you miss any, then you can do this in the Extras. I didn't need to use the interactive map at all because you are only going a couple of steps forwards and backwards each time and you do everything before you move on to another location. In the Extras you have that trumpet notes mini-game again, but this time it goes to 5 levels. I just couldn't get past 3. I hope you have better luck than me. You also have a Treasure Hunt which only takes a couple of minutes and you can also replay all the HOPs and mini-games as well. Its hard to get all the Achievements. I got about half, so I'll try and do better next time playing. One achievement was playing the game in 4, 5 or 6 hours. I failed on all three. It took me just over 6 hours. Overall, its a good game and I enjoyed it. Its not my most favourite game from this developer because it wasn't as good as the earlier Cadenza games, but definitely worth playing. Happy playing fishies. March 19, 2016
Another Great Game In This Series .... Great Graphics, Sound, Effects, Animations, Story, Voice & Video Bits ... A Superbly Themed Game That Had Me Riveted Right To The End ... A Great Piece Of Entertainment ... Only Wish It Was Longer ... The Bonus Chapter Was OK, But Really Not Essential To The Main Game ... Well Worth A Special Deal, Or Wait For The SE Edition ... March 19, 2016
LOVE WHAT YOU DO WITH THE MUSIC! this game is so relaxing and fun ... i LOVE the mini games that play with music ... and the music throughout is fabulous ... while the style of Cadenza is familiar, this storyline feels fresh and i am really enjoying this one ... keeps your interest and is technically sound ... pardon the pun ... while i love the more complex and challenging mini's, this one is truly enjoyable; HOs and artwork are great too ... i wish i heard from MAD HEAD games more often with more variety in their storyline! ... they have always been one of my favorites and always put their unique spin on the way the game is viewed and travelled ... GOOD ONE! ... March 19, 2016
I'm impressed This has to be my favorite Cadenza yet. I passed on the last one but now Mad Head has done it again. Beautiful graphics in the style of this dev, and voiceovers had matching dialects. Very good. HOPs are done in steps and are really imaginative. Nice map, collectables and morphs. The story is very interesting and I just need to find out who is behind the hat. Love the story, so far I did not get bored with it. I recommend this one for sure. March 19, 2016
A golden series I'm not going to re-cap the game because that's all over the place. I just want to say that this series is one that I now purchase before trying it out! Just something about the Cadenza games, something moody, mellow, atmospheric - something that charms, disarms, surprises and delights! If you have never played this series, go back to the first and become addicted! Love it! No smoke, no gargoyles, no ephemeral villains. Just pure fun. And, it is one of the very few I do NOT turn the music off. That alone says volumes. March 19, 2016
MAGNIFICENT!!! This game has everything I want for a game to be entertaining, difficult and makes me want to play. Great graphics with lots of surprises and a great storyline. Happy gaming! March 19, 2016
Maravilloso! Fantastico! This game is like an amazing urban fantasy, with enough realism AND a touch of paranormal to keep all types fascinated. You play a character who's going to Havana to meet his brother; along the way you find a strange guitar player whose song turns policemen into zombies. There are amazing interactive HOS as well as really fun puzzles including one along the lines of Guitar Hero. Not only that, there's Slide Mode and Self Aware Mode and Flip Mode - it's all good. Not only that, the art made me feel I really was in Havana in the 50's, and the music is incredible. Bravo to the designers, actors, and artists. This game is a masterpiece. March 23, 2016
Yes! Finally another Cadenza Adventure! I am only a few minutes into the demo exited out of the game. Clicked "Buy Now". Oh yes...I have the others and I was waiting for a new one because I was going to replay the others. They are so entertaining without the ghoul and darkness. You can get the storyline details for other comments here. I just want to say Cadenza games just put you right into the story. I noticed the new take on the HOBs. You are just not finding an hidden objects mindlessly your are working on finding or fixing something that you need. You actually feel like you are the character in the story. It's more than playing a game; it makes you work for it. The music is great! But I keep dancing I have to remind myself I am playing a game. LOL. I loved the previous Cadenzas as I am from that place and of the Cajun-Creole culture. The devs did a good job emulating the speech patterns, food,s sounds, scenery etc. for those. And it looks like they did the research for the Cuban culture too. Well the game downloaded. I am going to return to it. ( I was waiting for a good game to apply my 2 credits!. The wait was worth it.) March 21, 2016
Love This Series I love this series, for its graphics and music. I was disappointed in this one. The graphics were not as crisp as they are in other games. Whats going on? The colors are softer, more faded. Not happy with that. This is the biggest thing that separated the games from others. It was top dog in the Bigfish gaming world, with graphics, but not in this one. Other than that, I loved the jazzy music, the great scenes, the mini games and HOS. Always a pleasure and the challenge was just right. Not too easy and not too hard. This one however I will not be buying the Collectors edition, it isn't worth it. I like when they make a special room in EXTRAS, where you find things throughout the game, or you can pay to decorate a room, also achievements can be items you collect, but no its all standard and boring in this one. The only good thing about the CE here is the wallpapers and the screen savers. Ill go with the standard, its deff worth that! March 19, 2016
Hot Havanna Classy game in the Cadenza series. Loved the story, music and graphics. Puzzles are fun. My only complaint is it is far too short. Went through the main and extra game in a couple of hours. Should be a little longer. Don't let that stop you it is worth the money. March 20, 2016
