Strolling With The Elves I love mosaic puzzles and I love this fantasy elven themed puzzle. This is a timed game (Relaxed Mode available) where you assemble the puzzles by selecting pieces from the right side and place them correctly. There are 20 locations and each location has 20 different puzzles made of wood, fabric, glass, paper, jewels and metal. To earn 3 keys you must complete the puzzle, complete the puzzle without mistakes and complete the puzzle in the allotted time. You will earn coins that can be used to Add Time, Refill the Hint feature, or unlock other locations if you haven't earned enough keys to progress. The pictures are beautiful, and if you want to relax, you can switch to a relaxed mode with no timer which give this game a whole new meaning, enjoy! May 3, 2016
ELVES MEET MOSAICS Mosaics type games are some of my favorite and this one Mosaics Galore 2 is gorgeous with its wonderful elven theme. I love the graphics that are rich and colorful and when combined with the soundtrack create quite a relaxing environment for those times when all I want to do is solve puzzles one or two at a time. Right off the bat I will tell you what I don?t like and get that out of the way because it is such a pet peeve. When I select a relaxed mode of gameplay, I don?t expect to earn stars or meet other goals so when I see that in Mosaics Galore 2 I select the relaxed mode, it becomes annoying when I see that I am still ?awarded? keys for meeting a time limit or making mistakes. That aside though, I will put my annoyance aside and not care if I meet the game?s goals but that doesn?t mean that the developer should just forget what Relaxed Mode means. It should mean no goals to be met, only a relaxing gaming experience. So now I can get off my soapbox. For those of you who love challenges and playing beat the clock, I am sure you will love to test your puzzle solving skills to see if you can solve the puzzles in the allotted time. I love building the mosaic puzzles that become more difficult as we progress. There are many different types of puzzles and levels to be enjoyed which makes these games a something to be enjoyed for many hours of entertainment. If you haven?t played mosaics puzzles before then I recommend that you try the demo to see if you will enjoy this one. If, like me, you enjoy mosaics puzzles then I am sure you will want to add this one to your collection. I know I did and for me it is a definite purchase. May 3, 2016
Good "Patchworks" type game. This is a "Patchworks" type of game, not a mosaic like World Mosaics or Fantasy Mosaics. The theme appears to be fantasy creatures in a fantasy world. Some screens are just birds and so forth, but some might be, like, trolls. Just so you know where I am coming from, I love jigsaw puzzle-type games. The music is the typical 8floor games music that is getting kind of old, especially the south american flute. It does have a relaxed mode but I am not sure what it does. The timer appears disabled, but when I was using it, I expected it to never give me three stars. Instead, it gave me three stars anyway. But because it doesn't make you stop playing when the timer runs out, this is not a real problem. Plus, even in unrelaxed mode, the timing seems to be more forgiving than I have seen on some of these games. I cannot figure out how to get to the "Special quests and 18 trophies to collect." There's no menu or option for them, not even one that is inactive until you complete the game. Therefore, I can't tell if the "Special quests and 18 trophies to collect" even exist. It is a lot of click and drag, which is hard for elderly elbows. I'm having fun and buying with a coupon today. Try it. You might like it. May 3, 2016
YA gotta love puzzles which I do!!!!! This was/is a lot of fun for me. It is harder than the first one though I like relaxing fun too. I also liked the textures like pieces of cloth and the puffy stuffed plastic pieces in the first one better but that doesn't detract from the fun factor of putting the pieces together. I always like casual (that's just me) and it would be nice to see easy medium and hard levels but that may be too difficult to put together. I like how the pieces cast shadows too. I hope there is another in the works. Also these kinds of games don't need storylines just lots of different images to put together. Thank you creators of Mosaics Galore... May 6, 2016
Beautiful game for when you want to relax... REVIEW BASED ON full demo I CURRENTLY OWN 490 games ONCE UPON A TIME - 2.5 stars There?s allegedly a storyline, but it?s not developed at all, at least in the demo. Supposedly, a villain has kidnapped the magical species of the enchanted lands, and you have to save them by completing mosaics and collecting keys. On the one hand, zero stars for failure to develop the storyline. On the other hand, no storyline is truly necessary here, so I?ll split the difference. PLAY THE GAME - 4 stars Each module begins with relatively easy mosaics and progresses to more difficult ones,. Unfortunately, once you get to the second module, it starts out with simple mosaics again instead of being more challenging. I mean, once you?ve finished difficult ones, you don?t really want to go back to easy ones, right? To get all three keys you must complete the mosaic within the time limit and without errors. SIGHTSEEING - 5 stars The graphics are quite beautiful. In each module, the pieces are constructed from different materials. During the demo, I worked with wooden pieces and paper pieces. Both were colored and patterned gorgeously. Animation is smooth, both for the gameplay and the functioning of the parts of the game. SOUNDBOARD - 4 stars The music, while lovely, was not varied enough. It became repetitive and I turned it off. For a game like this, which is relaxing, there should have been many more music tracks. Game sounds were appropriate and not annoying. TOOLBOX - 5 stars The screen setup is clean and easy to read. To the left are the timer and completion meters; the timer empties while the completion meter fills. To the right are the hint button, inventory of mosaic pieces, and pause button. At the top is your score. BUGS & BOTHERS No technical difficulties or annoyances on Mac OS 10.11.6. CONCLUSION - Overall Rating: (2.5 + 4 + 5 + 4 + 5) 5 = 4.125 stars Obviously, I?m rounding this to a solid 4 stars. I found the most difficult mosaics offered a medium challenge, so this is a game more for relaxation. Nothing wrong with that! Sometimes, you just want to take a break and relax. I do recommend that you turn the music off, launch a media player, and choose a relaxing playlist of your own. I happen to make use of the downloadable soundtracks from CEs to make just such a playlist, and it worked beautifully for this. Happy gaming, fishies! August 28, 2016
good but for the time issue I enjoy mosaics galore except for one issue. The allotted time to complete a puzzle is unrealistic. I have done many, many mosaic puzzles so I speak from experience. I simply ignore the time limit and just try to complete without mistakes but it would be more fun if I felt I could actually complete the puzzle without mistakes and do it in the allotted time.
