Chateau Garden is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unusual and challenging marble popping type match 3 Overall much prettier and more stylish than most marble poppers. Some levels are difficult but if you make careful use of the bonuses, and don't worry about getting stars they're not too frustrating. I took one star off the fun rating because of the really tedious bits of dialogue, but I've now completed the game 3 times and will be going round again soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How Does Your Garden Grow? The Princess has been bequeathed the Chateau, but under the condition that she restore the garden to its old enchanting glory, but I'm betting she lets the maid do most of the work! It seems that this is a poor Princess too because she needs to earn money, the old fashioned way.....by matching identical stones in a marble popping match 3 type game. Stones can be removed by matching at least 3 identical stones, you can take all the time in the world, there's no timer, so you can plan your move strategically. You simply shoot the stone that's shown at the bottom of the screen by left clicking, right clicking allows you to switch to the next colored stone. You can earn up to three stars, there is a star meter on the right side of the screen, and the less shots required, the more stars you'll earn, but it's not easy to earn all three stars. More stones are added if you aren't able to make matches, there is an indicator at the top of the screen that shows when more stones will be added, but not all columns will add stones, if there are X's on the top of the column, those columns will not add more stones. There are obstacles added as you progress such as Locked Stones, or Stones with Weeds, or even stones that turn into Chests, that require you to make a match next to them to unlock and then another to match. Eventually bonuses are added such as the Magic Wand which will remove a stone of your choice. My favorite was the Bonus Levels where you can play as long as you survive, but you cannot take your time because new stones are added every few seconds and if the stones reach the bottom, you lose. The money you earn allows you to rebuild the Chateau Garden one flower at a time, with flowerbeds, potted flowers, hedges, statues, ponds and bushes. Each category gives you three different options, each option has a low, medium and high budget, but you can upgrade any of your choices. I really enjoyed playing this game, I became so engrossed that I didn't notice how much time had passed, so I'll definitely be using a credit to continue this game, enjoy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not really a M3, it's a marble popper puzzler [review based upon completed game] Pros: untimed, crisp and colorful graphics Cons: unless you're good at puzzle solving/pattern recognition this is much harder than it looks, hokey storyline and scene building 80 levels of collapse type puzzles. The object is to clear all the colored tiles in as few moves as possible. There's no timer and moves are unlimited. Be warned that unless you're extremely good at pattern recognition and setting up mass collapses in advance, you'll likely find yourself replaying boards over and over especially if you want to 3 star them. I found the challenge addicting, but it's not going to be for everyone. The storyline and scene building seem to be thrown in as an afterthought, as I found the garden scene parts garish and the story seemed very contrived. Some of the other details of the interface took me a while to figure out, like how to get to the level selection window to replay boards and what the number in the top right of the screen meant [it's a counter keeping track of how many moves you've made so far]. Play for the challenges, not so much to build your garden scene.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from deceptively easy This is a fun game. It is deceptively easy. The goal is to click the appropriate type of tile to make a match of 3 or more. Tiles that move can make matches as they move. So it is possible with one well aimed tile to clear many and a variety. You must not allow tiles to get to bottom. Coins are earned to get the estate garden into shape. It is possible to change an already bought design into something else. There are only 80 levels. For me that wasn't long enough. It is possible to complete the garden before finishing them. Coins continue to accumulate so garden can be changed any number of times. This is a game for all ages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chateau Garden Different concept and twist of three match game, based on the number of moves playing each level to complete before meter fills. Helpful directions and instructions was shown and explained to play each new level was great didn't leave you guessing what to do next. If you couldn't complete a level in the moves allowed, you had to repeat the level over. There is no time modes to choice which I do miss. I am sure the levels on as you progress to play will be more difficult to complete in one try but I do not mind playing the level again Played the free trial and bought the game I enjoyed, wasn't easy but not difficult didn't fine boring which was good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not your usual Match 3 This game really isn't a Match-3. Its a bubble popper, but it has some match 3 elements like chained blocks, and count/move timers and earning points to build something. I haven't seen bubble poppers with building options before. Overall a good game, just not a match-3.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from COMBINATION MARBLE POPPER & MATCH 3 In this game, matches of 3 or more are made by launching a tile that will make the match, as opposed to the more traditional types of Match 3 play. Tiles can be switched prior to launching but only to the tile that the game makes available; you cannot choose which tile you want to launch, so switching to a different tile does not necessarily improve the chances of a Match 3. The goal of each grid is to clear it of all tiles within X-number of moves. The fewer launches/moves you make, the more stars you get, up to a maximum of 3. As the complexity of the grids increases, so do the number of moves allowed for successful completion. There is no time limit, but exceeding the number of moves allowed to clear the grid causes a failure and the need for a replay. As an example, a grid may have a maximum of 8 moves allowed to clear it. Making less than 5 moves earns you 3 stars; making more than 5 but less than 8 moves earns you 2 stars; using 8 moves earns one star and using more than 8 requires a replay. All grids can be replayed as many times as you want, just by returning to the level map and selecting the grid to play again. For the first grid, I tried several times to increase the number of stars I had earned from 2 to 3 but with no success. There are lots of complications added to the grids as the game progresses; locked tiles, weed tiles, changing tiles, etc. This keeps the grids from becoming boring. As for winning the stars, sometimes I got 1, sometimes 2 and sometimes 3. This also kept the game interesting. The storyline centers on a princess having to restore a garden in order to keep the chateau that was given to her by the king upon his death. Depending on money earned during game play, the garden can be decorated with many types of flowers, statues, etc., with each item having up to 3 levels of cost. The amount of money earned each time a grid is completed varies depending on the complexity of the grid and on how many stars are earned. At times the amount of money earned was small so it took a long time to reach a point where enough money was available to make improvements to the garden. This game is a great combination of various types of play that held my interest from the very beginning.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very hard to get 3 stars I enjoyed the trial and bought the game, but I soon realised how difficult it is to even get 1 star, let alone 3, so got very frustrated at having to repeat the level a few times. Perhaps someone quicker would like the game better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An unusual game The storyline is brief, which I like. The play is good but at times becomes almost impossible. Then in the end is repetitive. I don't regret buying it but I am not sure I would recommend it. I think with some work it could be a great game. I did like the basic game play.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not enough options I think I would like this game more if there was a difficulty option. It's near impossible to earn 3 stars on any level-including the first ones!
