I Almost Gave Up But Refused To Let This Game Get The Best Of Me! I vaguely remember playing the original Green Moon where the moon transformed into a lush oasis capable of supporting life. When I began playing Green Moon II, I was given a brief tutorial that shows you how to navigate, how to pick up and place items and how to combine items, which btw have no indicators as to which items can be combined. Sounded simple enough, but I quickly realized that this is one hardcore game and I was in need of a walkthrough because the only hint you get is a short description of the items you need and where they might be located. I went from room to room searching for something interesting to do, and found myself picking up a ton of seemingly worthless objects like mold, salt, rocks and empty glass beakers. To be honest with you, I still don't know if I need all this junk. Once I assembled the Lunar Navigator, the moon was just a hop, skip and a jump away, which is where my gaming world got rocked. Seems I have several tasks to complete on the moon, BUT, I gotta breathe, and I have to use the magic of health to allow me to breathe, but my health meter didn't refill before I ran out of oxygen. So now, I'm just totally clueless about how to go about revitalizing my health before I run out of air, do I make a drink for myself, grind up some coffee, eat a little mold or wash my hands with the soap? Apparently, you can save your games progress and reload the game at that point, otherwise you will have to start the game over if you run out of air which ends your game (because you're dead at this point) While discovering this little tidbit, I also discovered that you can change the difficulty mode to Casual which allows you to get hints on certain objectives. I'm not one to give up easily, and I refuse to let this game get the best of me, so I plan on starting over in casual mode, until I play all 48 hours this game claims to offer. I gave Green Moon II five stars, not because the graphics are exceptional, they aren't, but because I found the storyline quite intriguing and because the game held my attention, even though my brain hurts, I'm ready, willing and able to continue my space mission, enjoy! WAITED A LONG TIME FOR THIS! I played the original Green Moon many years ago and although I was frustrated, it has remained one of my favorite games. The challenges are unbelievable. I could not do some of the mini games and had to ask a friend to do two for me but now I believe, since there is a casual choice of gameplay, it may be a bit easier. I have only played 40 minutes of the trial and bought it so cannot say if it "lives up to" the original but if you want something a bit different, and truly mystical, try the trial. Although some may not like the graphics, I feel the need to think is more important than pretty pictures. Try, it's free... May 10, 2016
At last something to make you think I played the first game in the series and found it challenging but also addictive and different so I didn't have any hesitation to purchasing this follow up. I have been playing for a while now and have only just got into space so there's lots to do. If you like something more challenging than the normal games we have come to expect then this is it. It does require concentration so it's not something to play while listening to the television or the like but I think it's a brilliant game and hope you do too. May 11, 2016
This is a true QUEST! Hard but thrilling! I thought I would never see something like this. I am playing this game with great pleasure. It?s good that they dropped those ugly navigation arrows which they had in the original Green Moon. Thank you for skips! I did skipped several mini-games, but upon the completion of the game, I returned to conquer them. Thanks for saving too! There are many useless locations, my brain is boiling, but there is some passion in it. If you want more, just go and explore, no cute running fur ball to help you out. That?s awesome, I get many good memories with this one. Recommend to those who really like to think a lot. May 13, 2016
Not Easy But Satisfying I died on the second level. The good news is that there is an auto save feature, so you don't need to start over. No good to be on the Moon without air. But, who cares, when you can use magic, make potions or travel in time? If you don't like "easy", this is for you. You can predict what's next. Every task starts from a shiny book, and it tells player what to do. But, it doesn't mention who exactly do this. =) Well, this is a bad news, you are on your own. It seems that many characters "know" you, so there is no surprise to them, who you are, and where did you pop up from. So, the developers continue the old school Green Moon one in here. I think it can make sense to play the first game as well, to see the whole picture. The task remains the same, the Moon was once green and alive, make it happen again. I love the second part as much as I loved the first one. May 12, 2016
I'm telling you, THIS IS HUGE! I'm new to Big Fish Games and just registered to play Green Moon 2. There is no other portal where you can find it at the moment. The game is veeery good, none like this was ever published. I?m no fan of hidden objects, though? And this is not, this game packs several hundred locations. There is room for exploration. The story is quite engaging and totally unpredictable. Its core feature is STRANGE. I had lots of troubles with the fifth task. I played this asteroid game around 2 hours, couldn?t go to sleep!!! TIP: stay where you are DON?T MOVE. This is the easiest way to shoot those annoying things down. Many will not like it, the hardness level is tremendous! May 14, 2016
I like/hate it! I think this is a great game for those people who like to exercise their grey cells. It's not for the casual gamer who just wants to escape for a bit and have some fun. There is quite a lot of traveling and random clicking, as sometimes I don't know what the heck to do. There is a little hint system, but sometimes the hint leaves me still looking. I have made it to Task 8 so far, and I need to find a pirate to get some gold. Where the pirate is, I cannot tell you. I will keep traveling and clicking, and something will pop up eventually, I hope. I do like this one better than the first one. The window is bigger and so therefore things are easier to see. Also, there is an option to skip puzzles. I skipped one in this game because I couldn't get a hang of the controls (asteroid zapping), but am completely stuck in the first game. I cannot get those slider puzzles, no matter how hard I try, they frustrate me to no end. So, I am stuck, and had to uninstall as there was no option to skip it. This is a good game, but it's not easy, and you should expect some frustration. Hint ... save often :-) May 13, 2016
A game that literally makes you use your brain! No give mes here! I am glad I bought this game. Though I've only played it for short time I had to comment on it. This game is truly the essence of what a hidden object puzzle adventure game should be. It holds true to the classics (like the Myst series). Yes this game isn't easy, it makes you search everywhere, it makes you have to figure things out, and, at times, it makes you frustrated! But most of all makes you THINK! So, if you are a gamer that DOES NOT: Want everything given to you; Need a map that shows where to find everything; Sparkles that show all hidden things; Or a hand that holds yours... this game is for you! So, there should be no whining...just a good ahhh! after accomplishing a task after figuring out what to do! And gain a few more strong brain cells. MAKE SURE TO SAVE YOUR GAME OFTEN! May 15, 2016
As good as the original The first Green Moon is second only to City of Fools in my list of favourite games so I bought this sequel without hesitation. It has the same style of gameplay as the first game, with fairly simple navigation and no annoying hidden object scenes. You can travel quite easily through different dimensions and each area only has a few areas to explore. Green Moon 2 is basically an extension of the first game and that's just fine with me. It is probably an acquired taste as it doesn't have the same kind of cutesy sort of interactive feel as other games. No annoying little helper either! You have hints as you need them but you are still expected to think for yourself. Please, developers, more games in the vein of Green Moon and City of Fools! May 16, 2016
This game is true quest! Be prepared for difficult tasks, to make the green moon again. Each new task opens new worlds and locations, unlike each other. Every world has own style and audio. You will find a lot of items, but inventory has enough space for all items. Found items must be properly configured and used (in some cases using the skills). Hint gives only the direction of the search an item, instead of magic arrows or teleports. Puzzles give brain a relax. But not asteroids. I played this game 7 times for win. In general, Green Moon 2 is interesting and exciting game! May 15, 2016
