Jealousy, Love, Magic, Murder...All wrapped in a nice package! Completed SE: I waited until the SE came out. I didn't want to buy the CE because I had fumbled through a couple of the games in this series I felt were 'bridges' between games. When I saw Isa was in this one I kind of cringed but I was really surprised as the story unfolded. (And I tolerated the magical glass that found the flowers). I enjoyed the variety of puzzles. Having no map or not knowing were to go next made it more challenging, which I liked. All the scenes where beautiful and the music score was great. I can say I don't regret having not boughtthe CE for this game. There is only one thing: this would be a good game to end this series, since this appears to be a sequel to The Song of the Phoenix. Like I said there where some bridge games in the series between the great ones. And I do recommend trying a demo (If available) on any game before you buy it to see if it's for you. April 30, 2016
kidnapping, deceit, and true love denied queen theresa had to marry king leo.......it was her duty. they had a child. 25 years later a dark secret is revealed and that is where it all begins. the king takes the queen hostage and goes after the newcomer as well since they are threatening his kingdom. i am not revealing the secret but the whole game is based on it. you play as the daughter and your nanny knows the secret that they have kept from you since birth. your mother, the queen, tells you and the nanny to run and gives you an amulet that will protect you. i really enjoyed this game and it held my interest until the end. the end was abrupt, though, but everything was tied up. sequel...there could be June 12, 2016
. This never happens to me but this is the second game I rate five stars! I enjoyed pretty much everything about it. The mini games were different. I played custom, everything off, so the minis didn't come with instructions. Sometimes you have to leave and come back with more inventory. Way to go! 2016 October 15, 2016
ONCE UPON A TIME Once upon a time, there was a Princess named Theresa who married King Leo, because it was her duty. Queen Theresa gave birth to a baby girl, the only heir to the throne. Imagine everyones surprise when the dark magician, Isa accused the King and Queen of keeping a secret from him. It's been 25 years since the Princess was born, and Isa has returned, determined to unveil this family secret. Nanny gives the Princess a special Amulet and tells her she must search for answers herself, and find out what this deep dark family secret is all about and why they kept the truth from her for 25 years! The first thing I noticed with this newest edition of Spirits of Mystery, was how much the graphics have improved, they really are quite impressive. The only props you have for this adventure is the family heirloom the Queen has kept safe for you (hoping you'll never need to use it), an Amulet that will allow you to remove the thorny branches that Isa has used to keep you from leaving. Each time you use the Amulet, you will have to search the scene to find all of the thorny flowers with the amulets lens. The Collector's Edition has the usual Achievements to earn as well as Collectible Pearls which are used to purchase royal items, which isn't very impressive for a CE. The Hidden Object Scenes are just okay in my book. There are Interactive List finds that leave behind symbol fragments that will be used for clues, and HOP's that require you to find two key items within a story, one of which requires an interaction. The Mini Games range from super simple to frustrating, some of them have two different modes of difficulty available, Casual and Hard. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo: 1) Open the lock by selecting the correct number by multiplying two numbers. 2) Memorize the picture positions on two rows of cards and then match the cards dealt with the cards on the board once they have been flipped over, repeat two more times. 3) Remove thorny branches and complete three different puzzles, selecting sections on two castles that match the symbol shown when combined, spot the difference in jewelry worn by the Queen, and place picture fragments correctly. 4) Follow the directions on a sleeping potion recipe step by step. The Collector's Edition has 10 Movies, 12 Wallpapers, 11 Concept Art pictures, 15 removable items using Collect Pearls, 5 Screensavers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 14 replayable Mini Games, 20 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy! I Really like this game! I really enjoyed this game all the way up to the end. The ending was weirdly abrupt like there was a skip in a tape. The mystery was over and tied up nicely but it was just weird how you do something and then bam you are at the main menu. Other then that I really enjoyed the game a lot, it's fun, yes it's easy and relaxing! I've played all the others and this was a great addition. I love the graphics in this game, beautiful without being overdone or having each scene completely stuffed with items. The amulet used to find the thorny flowers hidden around the room did start to get on my nerves but other than that, I have no real complaints. If you are looking for a deep challenge then this is not the game for you. If you are looking for a sweet, easy fantasy game this should fit the bill. I recommend it. April 29, 2016
Battle the Blossoms I was impressed by the wonderful graphics. You have an amulet for help you find the bothersome blossoms that block your way. The improvement here is that if you get stuck finding them you can use the hint key. The hidden objects are varied -- find two matching objects; find objects in a story, and silhouette. Mini-games are standard: restore pictures, multiply numbers to open locks. I liked the clay figure that you make and then paint. May 5, 2016
Better than some reviews make it out to be. It was ok. Maybe slightly better than ok but certainly not great!! Not enough traditional HOS or very difficult ones. Storyline ok but voiceover acting - absolutely terrible! Ending - non existent. Some tricky puzzles but on the whole, nothing you haven't seen or done before. May 30, 2016
here we go again based on the demo. it lost my interest as soon as the magnifying glass showed up.dislike that in games ok if you want to kill time but for the exceptional games that have been out there this to me was quite boring and very very easy. i suggest trying before buying as i have started to do again. bought too many games just from reading reviews and wasted a lot of fun times that could have been had.same old story line it seems. pretty colors ; seems ok for a beginner. HUGE Potential - TERRIBLE Disapointment! After completing full game: First I ditto what AuntMartho said! I absolutely loved some previous games in this series! This is a total disappointment: Abrupt - NO Ending!! Way too, too short!! Ruined a good story line! HO's way too easy & too few! Not challenging game play - mostly looking for a shape to open a lock, to find an item that would never be there. Please find someone who can translate to English!! PS: The game I selected for my current favorite is really a favorite from a while back. I chose it because it was one of my favorite games in this series. A game that was very good. August 8, 2016
most disappointing game I've played Story line awful. Why turn a good bad guy into a wimpy good guy? Because he had memory loss???? Ending was stupid. Gameplay was frustrating and unfun. This was a waste of my money and time. I've enjoyed most of the others in this series. Did someone have a major life trauma or a stroke? Who came up with this? May 17, 2016
