Addictive Quest Driven Time Management/Battle Game This isn't your usual Time Management game! You won't be collecting resources and clearing junk off of a predetermined path until the path is cleared. Yes, you will still collect resources, but this game is a quest driven game where you click on icons and determine what tasks need to be performed to accomplish the quests. You need to construct huts for more workers, training camps for warriors, Barracks and Elder Tents. Resources include food from fishing, collecting onions and walnuts or from Garden Beds or Hunters Huts, you can mine gold, collect stones or lava and chop down trees. You will have to have enough resources to finish most quests, which get more difficult as you level up. As you gain experience, you will level up and get rewarded with the bonus of your choice that will either help you in the camp or during battle. Battles are waged and must be fought, the enemy is swift and fierce but we have bonuses on our side right? You can equip your warriors with the bonuses and then begin the battle against the enemy manually or with auto battle which does the work for you. You can hire new Warriors at anytime, different warriors have different strengths, and choose which one's to battle with. There are so many things to do with in this game where the village gets larger and the battles get tougher. I love the fact that I'm not doing predetermined tasks level after level, and having to start all over in the next level. The graphics are decent, everything seems to be large enough to identify but small enough to keep it in perspective, and I love the dinosaur theme. I wish Big Fish would offer more of this type of game, enjoy! May 25, 2016
Quests and turn-based battles - excellent! This is not your usual Time Management game. In fact, it's untimed. It reminds me somewhat of games like Adelantado, Finders, The Island: Castaway in that you are building up a settlement and making use of resources in the area. Quests wait in small windows to the side of the screen and appear to be non-linear. The construction menu consists of buildings, additional resources and totems. Items become available when reaching a higher level and/or gathering enough resources. You start off with building huts which will give you more workers and training camps for warriors. Buildings are upgradeable and can be relocated. You level up by gaining experience points performing tasks, completing quests. On levelling up you can apply a skill point and choose a bonus for defence, battle, magic or luck. There are also items to find that go in your inventory which you can equip. Your warriors have their own menu and different types with different attributes will eventually become available to choose from. You start off with just defenders and hunters who require money/resources to hire them. Battles become available as quests and are turn-based - you move your units into position and strike, the enemy moves and strikes, etc. The strategy here is knowing the attributes of your warriors, who fights better at close range or at a distance, etc. There's an option to auto fight, and take a chance on the outcome, if you prefer. If you do enjoy a fight, random non-quest battles can also be found. I know I'm going to love this game. Hope you do to. May 25, 2016
A "Finders" type game. If you were a fan of "Finders", you will love this game. Even some of the music is the same! You do collect resources, but you get to choose things like how many huts, mines etc., to build, where to place them etc. After 10 minutes of game play I purchased it since Finders was one of my favorites. There is no frantic clicking, as this game is very relaxed and you can play at your own pace. I've not done any battles yet, so I can't comment on that part of the game. I wish there were more games like this available. May 25, 2016
Quests and adventure This was a relatively free style game, somewhat non-linear, with quests and bonuses which one may choose (you can?t get them all, so choose wisely). There are battles which are turn based and require some strategy. The worst feature for me was when it ended. I think that people will either love this game or not want anything to do with it. I think you should play it first and then decide whether to buy. If you like it, you should know in just a few minutes. Personally I loved it. May 26, 2016
New and Old All At Once Prehistoric Tales is an interesting combination of things - familiar, different, old, and new. The sounds and functions are a lot like Wild Tribe with a Virtual Villagers similarity. On the other hand, none of those required battle, and this one does. The battles are okay - So far I have outnumbered and outmanned my opponents - and I've found that it is more fun to let them auto-play for the battles. The music is soothing, and while this does not require you to clear roads to get resources, you still have to click on the resources to collect them. I think I was offered an option on one of my upgrades for an auto-collect type of thing, but passed on it for something more like defense ability. The graphics are good and the storyline is okay, but I am used to moving the story along a lot faster. Some goals, like trading 55 times have taken me a while to meet because I don't like some of the "deals" the traders are offering. I'm at a Level 11 (not sure how high it goes), and so far the level of challenge has not been that tough to meet, but it may increase as I go along. Overall, I am really enjoying the game, but like I said, just wishing I could move it along a little faster. May 26, 2016
unexpected treasure unusual game! at the same time it was easy to understand it. I liked combination of building, collecting resources and trade system. frankly speaking I loved it!!! May 26, 2016
Easily one of those 'Landmark' offerings that people recommend! Absolutely loved this game! This is the type of game that brought me here years ago; it's got your free-style type of game that is reminiscent of a few games: wandering willow's type of freedom to do what and when you want to do them. But it's also got the aspect of being able to put buildings etc where you want them. The map also moves; you aren't stuck to a tiny square. And, when you level, you not only get to put a point into a character (battle, defense, magic, luck)'s strengths and whatnot, you also get to choose abilities. Now for battles; there is an area (separate from main 'map') which is where the battles are conducted. The fighting style is similar to the game Dofus, where it's a turn-play grid type of setup. So happy to of gotten to try this game; absolutely had a blast! May 26, 2016
More Sim than TM The lines between game genres often blur. Calling this game a time management wasn't really fair to the game. It's more along the line of sim games like the farm-tribe series, paradise-beach series, and hero series. The player receives quests to complete. There are no timers so anyone who doesn't like timers might enjoy this more than the usual TM games. Completing the quests requires gathering, building, and expanding the territory at a very reasonable, sometimes slow, pace. Skins are used for a lot of upgrades and they take a long time to collect. The game offers an added dimension in the form of battle quests. So far, they've been pretty easy. The hero faces enemies with the help of warriors, shaman, hunters, and other defenders. The player has to position the defenders and shoot the monsters. No glitches or technical issues yet. This is really my favorite type of game and we don't get enough of these. I've replayed the other sim-type games over and over. It's challenging in a relaxing sort of way. There's not a lot of fast clicking. Anyone who enjoys a crushing time deadline and loads of clicking will fall asleep on this game. But anyone who prefers thinking over clicking might enjoy it. As always, try before you buy. Fun game except...... The game started out really cool and then the fun ended. The want you to fight and kill things and that's just not my thing. I deleted the game after playing for about 20 minutes because of the fighting and killing. May 26, 2016
