“I like this series and think this episode is the best yet. Although I do not always like little helpers, I have always been fond of the little scarecrow character. This newest game in the series is also packed with things to do and interact with at every scene. Great job on keeping the charm and atmosphere of the series while enhancing the gameplay and visuals.”  - Kevin, beta tester

“Love the game so far. Can't wait to see what happens next! Simply lovely graphics and wonderful story line so far. Totally sucked me in and would not let go!”  - Aleska, beta tester

Will be one of favorite,as "Wicked Harvest" I've played Wicked Harvest many times and this will be the same-one of my favorites! Thank you, Mariaglorium! I loved the beautiful graphics, the almost continuous music which lends to the mood of the game. There is a great story and storytelling with voiceovers using chapters through pictures.I'm so glad my little scarcrow helper is back. Finally, I enjoy the list hos better than other types, some thing I seldom see any more.Too bad developers have pretty much left those of use who prefer list hos and little helpers. July 15, 2016
Throwback to the Good Ones! Great little game! It reminds me of the games from a few years back---the ones with mid-level mini-games, the ones we still replay. The storyline isn't especially noteworthy, but the hidden object games are each a bit different. Most important, the game isn't a mess of confusion that requires constant use of the Hint button. League of Light is definitely a series I will continue to buy. More like this would be well received. July 16, 2016
RETURN TO BLAKE'S MOUNTAIN AND HELP HANK HUNTER The latest game in the League of Light series ?The Gatherer? is a return to Blake?s Mountain and is a tie-in of sorts to ?Wicked Harvest? a very popular game that was released in 2014. Once again we have our little scarecrow helper but this time we witness his transformation from average boy to scarecrow as he is trying to help us very early in the game. It seems that evil is afoot in Blake?s Mountain and Hank Hunter has the feeling that he is being watched and has requested help from the League detectives. You arrive in Blake?s Mountain expecting to meet with Hank but instead you are greeted by a guard who refuses to believe that you are a detective sent by the League to help, particularly because someone else is masquerading as the League detective. It is not long before you find yourself in chains and now you must escape before you will be able to help anyone. The graphics are not as excellent as they were in the earlier games in the series and seem to be a bit washed out. It is also rather ludicrous that we have the Hank Hunter sounding and looking as if he is a member of the Confederate Army in the US while he is from Blake?s Mountain in Ireland. There is a custom game option available but IMHO it is rather useless. Your tools include a transporter type map and a little scarecrow helper who I happen to think is quite cute. I know some gamers hate helpers and I don?t always mind them but guess it happens to depend on the helper, the game and my mood ? lol. The HOPS are extremely well-crafted and excellent. There is a lot of variety so I doubt you will become bored as you play through the game. I personally am fairly old-school and love the standard list type HOPS but those are what were available when I began playing HOPA games ages ago. The mini-games are almost too easy at times and not as entertaining as the HOP scenes. Generally the minis increase in difficulty as we play through the game so I am holding out hope for so more challenging puzzles later. The CE version of the game is fairly light on extras so it is a matter of preference between buying the CE or waiting for the SE release a month from now. We all like different things in games but I was surprised at the low ratings given to the game by some other reviewers. I happen to love the League of Light series and although the graphics might not be as terrific I still am enjoying the gameplay. It took me a bit longer to get started and to figure out what to do when I first arrived at Blake?s Mountain but once I found the one item I needed, I moved forward quite easily. I actually liked the storyline and found the game quite entertaining. I have been playing for a couple of hours now and am thoroughly enjoying the game. Even though I love this game, please try the demo to see if it is a game you will enjoy. July 14, 2016
I love this game i love all the leagues of light because its relaxing. it may have some things that people don't like but it is still a relaxing game. all games don't have to be perfect to be a good game. if you dissect a game of course youre going to find something wrong with it. overall its a great game. What can I say but "Here we go again" I love this series and this is really good and loads of fun. The games are fun and different. You really have to think and plan what you are going to do, but you do have a little "helper" for some of the chores. It is beautifully drawn and sound and voices are great. You do have HO's to play and they are well defined and there are little "find me use me" games inside of them too. As usual, I play the game first then if I like it I purchase it. This is one that is a definite purchase. Other reviewers do a much more detailed review that I do, I just give you my opinion. Hope you like it as well as I do. July 14, 2016
Love this Series! So this is the fourth game in the league of light series and I am delighted with the game. It is actually a sequel to their second game wicked harvest. So if you haven't played that one you can still figure this one out as it's pretty straight forward with the story but if you played the wicked harvest first you have more backstory for you to go on. There are four levels of difficulty to choose from casual, experience, masterful and custom. You also get to choose your gender and unlike some of the games out there which ever gender you choose actually has a voice over dialog. Although I have to say the female gender's voice sounds a lot like the woman who voices Nancy in the Nancy Drew games but that could just be me. Speaking of the sound this game's music is great. There is a section where it begins to thunder and it was so realistic to me that I actually thought it was raining and thundering out by me and I only realized it was the game when I took off my headphones. There was one part of the game when a character was speaking and it was very light and had a echo to the voice but I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be like that because of where the character was position from you or if that was just a bad recording. The game has a great mix of hidden object's and puzzles they start off easy but most of these games do . A quick run down of the demo is you come to the town to help a father and son but as you get there you find out someone is impersonating you and you can't get in to the town. Mistaken identity happens and you wind up in jail and you have to find a way to break out, basic story so far but it gets better. You get a helper during the demo and it's a super cute baby scarecrow (I wish I had one). You also need to keep a look out for hidden owl's in each scene to help you finish some of your mosaic pieces for a puzzle in the extra's section. The extra's for the game included an obvious bonus chapter. A collection area (this is different from the owl's that you look for), music, wallpaper, concept art, and achievements. In the achievement section you will find the mosaic puzzle along with an achievement that requires you to take a quiz to see if you where paying attention to the game. Which I think is awesome and they tend to do that in this series. All and all I love the game and the series and I'm off to go buy this one ;-) hope you guys enjoy it too but if you haven't played the series before I would start with the first one Dark Omens. Excellent game In my opinion a really excellent game, Mariaglorum did a good job. From the first moment your attention is kept by the story and atmosphere: graphics are dark, but very detailed with excellent environment sound (rain, birds etc). Strange things are going on in town and you have to find out who is behind all this. The little scarecrow helper (already appeared in Wicked Harvest) comes back - and you are going to have some funny moments with him. Very nice mini games. I highly recommend League of Light, the Gatherer CE. July 19, 2016
Absolutely Fun Game!! This game can be customized to however long you want the hint and skips to work - truly a must have for the big fish gamers to have. Excellent fun game.! July 14, 2016
The Return of the Little Scarecrow Helper! I have all the previous League of Light games and am enjoying this one too. It seems the Gatherer is collecting people and, weird and wonderful creatures to assess their behaviour. Thankfully my little helper escaped and is now helping me through the game. Extras: 24 Owls who are cleverly hidden in the background. 6 Statuettes of the players in the game. 6 Achievements are shown and there are 3 to collect in each category, so 18 in all. 20 Puzzle Pieces - I was annoyed at myself for not finding any in the demo but when I looked in the achievements section I had already collected 4. I think they are related to completing the mini games. Mini Games - some easy and some very hard! The map is good and if you miss a collectible and go back to the scene a silver circular symbol lets you know that you have missed it. WARNING - don't despair but you do have to find a zipper pull after the demo! I'm off to finish the game now. July 14, 2016
Aaaah, yes, the scarecrow is back :D Based on demo: This is the 4th League of Light game and like the others, it is great. This is a great series, up there with Lost Lands and Echoes of the past. Just love it. If you haven`t played the other League of Light games I recommend you play them first, this is a sequel to Wicked Harvest. The other two don`t connect to this game but they are awesome with lots of stuff to do. Not too many HOS in the demo, thankfully. Some easy puzzles in the demo, but please don`t let that scare you off, they usually get better and better. I will update after I have finished the game. A must have in my collection. July 14, 2016
